They are straight up fraudulent. Their box is delayed by over a week and they have “NO REFUNDS” policy.

BAIT AND SWITCH! Beware of their discount offers, they do not honor them! I signed up for a 6-month subscription to send monthly snacks to a friend who is starting college. When I check my credit card they had processed without the discount. When I pointed out the mistake via email they said that coupon could not be applied to this order. I carefully followed every disclaimer and direction in the coupon
I ended up canceling a $162.00a dollar order because they would not honor $2.70
It is no wonder they refused to provide a contact number for customer support.

Universal Yums has been all over my news feed, and I said that I have to try it. It took me a while before I made an order. The first box that I ordered was a holiday box : taste of history. I enjoyed some of the snacks. It came with a chart to rate each snack and a booklet that provided you with information about each snack. I decided that I wasn't going to wait until next month to order more snacks. I have made five purchases since then. Also, I shared the snacks with my parents, and they loved them, too. It was a really nice experience trying a variety of different snacks from around the world. I can't wait to try more soon.

I gifted a Ukraine box to my best friend who is displaced with her family because of the war for the last 2 years - she just made it to Canada and was hoping that the box would be familiar piece of home.
Canadian shipping is quite difficult- they may charge customs in order to receive it and it can take weeks to get there. Luckily, the box made it to the local post office. A few days went by and even though tracking said it was delivered to the residence, it was not. I contacted both the shipping company and Universal Yums to see what my next steps were. Customer service was amazing and responded first thing and offered to ship out another box. I waited for my friend to stop by the post office in person to inquire about the package and it was being held there, with no extra fees! Customer service reached out once a day at least just to make sure everything with my order was resolved and I no longer needed help after I let them know the package was happily received.
My friends’ loved every snack in the box, shared with me all the memories (both childhood and recent) they had of the food they received and thought they wouldn’t be able to taste again.
What an amazing concept and idea - connecting people through food! Thank you so much for making this gift possible.

Beware of Universal Yums! Their deceptive practices are utterly disgraceful. I was enticed to purchase a Ukraine box on March 18, 2024, believing it was a one-time transaction to support a charitable cause. Instead, Universal Yums exploited my goodwill to trap me into an unauthorized subscription, charging me $35.50 without my consent on April 12, 2024.
When I discovered this and reached out to request a refund and cancellation of the subscription, they shockingly refused. Their excuse? Once a box ships, they claim it's impossible to issue a refund— a clear sign of their disinterest in fair customer service or ethical business practices.
This company’s willingness to leverage a humanitarian crisis for profit, only to then deny any responsibility when caught, is appalling. Anyone considering Universal Yums should think twice. Their operations are a disservice to the spirit of genuine charity and customer respect.

I love Universal Yums and this review is long over due. I was introduced in 2020 when a friend gifted me a 3 month supply. I forgot what countries I got but it brought back memories when I’ve visited before.The following 2 years, I gifted a 3 month supply to both young children and adults for Christmas. They all enjoyed the surprise on what box will be next.The customer service was awesome. I changed my mind on what countries I wanted and they swapped it out. I also had a delivery issue where the recipient moved and they sent out another box to the new address.Highly recommend over any other subscription company providing similar product. But then again, I think they’re the only one with around the world concept. Brilliant!
