“I’m sad to see this school hasn’t been reviewed in a while. My daughter goes here and as a parent it is hard to leave you kids somewhere for any amount of time and wonder what they are up to. But the staff and director are the best people imaginable. They care. They really care. I have never had a negative interaction. They lean on parents to learn about their students. Most importantly they allow students to be themselves. No forced circle time or activities. Rather they allow students to engage in the way they feel comfortable. They have classroom Dojo and we receive pictures of our little one doing her work. My daughter can not wait to go back. I’m writing this review because I’m sad my son is too young to join the 2s class and finding another child care for him that is anywhere near this one has been a task this summer. I’m writing this to let them know what a gem they are and how much my daughter can’t wait ti see her favorite teachers and friends in a few weeks. I would post pictures but those are private and have many students in them. Trust me. This is a great place.”

“Updating 12/23 to add that my daughter is now in her second year at Playhouse and continues to thrive. She has learned so much about how to treat others kindly and express herself constructively. I continue to marvel at the clever teaching methods. For example, they recently did a unit on germs and painted the kids hands with glitter so they could see how the glitter/germs spread around the room as they played.2/23: I am picky about daycares and preschools - most seem to be fine, but not amazing. Playhouse is one of those rare schools that is amazing and we feel so lucky to have found it. Our daughter is thriving - she loves going and she is engaged with the various activities. Every staff member is lovely and wonderful - they create a safe and supportive environment and they do such creative and incredible things with the kids. They have a great library for the teachers to pull from and I so appreciate my daughter's exposure to things (like her class pet) that she otherwise wouldn't be. Highly recommend!”

“I truly can’t say enough great things about marigold academy (formerly education station) in Bloomfield. It is such a special, well-rounded daycare with amazing, caring staff, exceptional + big outdoor playground space/toys, and tons of learning and toys inside. I was absolutely blown away with how much my child learned there and felt it was the perfect mix of play + lots of educational learning. My child absolutely thrived at marigold academy and we were SO sad to leave due to moving out of town. The child to teacher ratios are also amazing and small- much better than most other daycares. The staff does so many fun things to keep kids smiling and having fun such as weekly music class, holiday decorations and music, yoga, outdoor play, water play in the summer, etc. I love this place and recommend it so highly!!”

“Our son has been going to Espin for one year. He also attended last summer. He still talks about the fun summer that he had. When he first started, we noticed the growth in language and behavior within a few weeks. It was amazing to see! The school is clean, staff are very helpful and caring. His class is small, about 10 kids in the classroom. His teachers care a lot about his growth and well-being. We receive daily pictures of him through the app which is so awesome! My husband and I are very happy with Espin. Highly recommend!”

“Middleton is truly an amazing school. It’s like being part of a warm loving family. They take care of your child like their own. We spent two wonderful years at Middleton. Linda is the best. Every teacher truly cares about your child. Wish we could have stayed longer.”

“The learning experience (TLE) in Livingston has made my transition back to work super easy and I was confident in their ability to care for my son. When I was looking into daycares, TLE was great from the start. I went to visit the center with my young baby and was greeted with kindness. Patty and Corinne explained the centers style and answered all of my questions. My son started in the infant room at 5 months old with Miss Loretta and I could not be more pleased. I work in healthcare and finding a facility that provides early hours and/ or extended hours was hard to find. My son participates in the before care and Miss Neequa and Miss Loretta always greet us with a smile at 630AM. We have been here for over a year at this time and I still am impressed with the activities for the children. I highly recommend this facility.Bonus: they have two new outdoor turf playgrounds, and a grass fenced in area for the kiddies.”

“I love it here. I was very nervous being a first time parent and still is everyday but I have 100% trust in the staff here taking care of my first son. If he is sick they immediately call and turn it to RN's haha. They keep parents up to date on class dojo and post plenty pictures of the kids on the daily. They have great activities for the scholars and is building the community. They are quick to response to any questions and they do not take any criticism personally. I've myself have had times when I was upset and addressed the staff and the responded positively to make sure I was a happy parent. Great group of staff and great place for kids . I have even arranged play dates with parents from this school to meet outside of school. Thanks buzzing bees in east orange !”

I have put both my kids here and I am very very satisfied with 1) the way the treat the children 2) the curriculum 3) the food provided.They make sure that your kids are taken care of as they would take care of their own.Overall I couldn't have found a better place for both my kids”

“Lightbridge Academy Iselin has become part of our family. Our family was very nervous in putting my 6 month old colicky baby into daycare. Within just a short period of time, we realized this was the best decision for my daughter. My daughter is now a year and three months old and she's learned so much. She is very verbal, loves to play and has excelled in every milestone. Ms. Kelly, Ms. Jenn, Ms. Sobina and Ms. Sangita really are the absolute best. I am known to voice my concerns but anything that comes up, the staff quickly answers and assures me things will be handled and addressed. I'm very thankful my little one attends Lightbridge, can't wait to see what the future holds.”

I wondered if I would be a good fit and if I had anything valuable to give growing and impressionable future leaders. When I started Primrose, I was taken in immediately as if I’ve always been there. My kids have been with them since 1yr and 18M, respectively (and they’re now 2 and 4.5), and they love it. Based on what I’ve seen, the teachers put a lot of thoughts into the lesson planning even for the younger toddlers.”

“We absolutely love the Goddard School of West Orange! Our oldest has been there since they opened and has learned a great deal. We are fully confident she will be very well prepared for kindergarten in the fall! Our second child has also been there for a year and half and is doing amazing. Not only have both of our children learned a great deal and have developed excellent social skills but they are truly loved by all of the teachers/staff at the school. It feels like a family and we couldn't be happier with our experience at Goddard West Orange!”

She was previously at another Goddard location- which we also loved but the family/ friend feeling from this school is incredible and unbeatable.”

“Highly recommended! We loved being apart of the London Day School community while our son attended their Preschool Prep program during the 2022-2023 school year. We were new to the area after our family moved to NJ from CA, and we'd spent months over the summer searching for a school for my youngest (who had yet to start any type of structured preschool program). We happily stumbled upon LDS, and were so happy that we did. Our kiddo thoroughly enjoyed his time there, and quickly attached to his teacher Ms Rosie. She was absolutely wonderful with him -- helping him through his worries at drop-off, helping him try different foods, and checking in with us regarding any and all concerns. We ended up needing to leave the school due to commute challenges. But our kiddo still talks about his time at London Day School, and we all miss it very much. We are so grateful that our child's first school year experience was at LDS.”

“Alpine Montessori school is full of wonderful and genuine people who happen to be great teachers too! I now have two kids attending Alpine and my youngest will go there as well, I highly recommend Alpine! Here is why.Three years ago I chose Alpine Montessori for my oldest daughter for several reasons; it has a diverse student body, the staff is warm, friendly and knowledgable, the school is in a home and is very inviting, and the classrooms are clean and well organized. Alpine also has good security and I love the Montessori system and the curriculum/program that the school has developed.I could not be happier with my decision to send my oldest daughter to Alpine. She is now in the Kindergarten program and has grown so much over the last three years. My daughter is doing things in her class that I would not have thought possible three years ago (example: introduction to concepts such as fractions!).My daughter has loved all of her teachers at Alpine and I believe that those strong personal connections are what has allowed her to flourish so much.The school has been very good about moving my oldest daughter around between classes when she was ready for new challenges. She has SO much fun at school and comes home completely exhausted that she’s usually asleep by 7 pm.Alpine offers extracurricular activities (dance, music, science) which I take advantage of. This has been wonderful since driving around on the weekdays is a challenge (she has two younger sisters),I appreciate that at Alpine there are always opportunities for parents to volunteer and be involved. To sum it up, I could not be happier with our experience at Alpine. There was one moment this past fall when my daughter needed a small medical procedure and we couldn’t get her in to surgery for almost two months. Knowing that her teacher at Alpine assured me “I will take care of her as if she were my own”. I cried. I know that my daughter’s teacher meant what she said as I have seen her take care of all the kids in this manner.The owner of Alpine is also very nice and has three kids himself (they are older) so he is very easy to talk to and is always available to parents.Alpine is a wonderful school for my children and I hope you give it serious consideration for the educational and developmental needs of your child as well.”

“I was very anxious about sending our 2 yr old to an immersion school since we aren't a bilingual household, but I was pleasantly suprised when we noticed how easily she was adjusting by the end of the 1st week! She loves her teachers, her classmates and is excited to go to school everyday. As non-bilingual parents, we especially appreciate the learning resources attached to the weekly newsletters because it allows us to reinforce the lessons from the previous week and is also helpful for us to learn and engage with her in the target language. Jump! has provided us with an amazing opportunity to gift our daughter with another language and exposure to another culture that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to do at traditional daycare schools!”
