I purchased a guinea pig a couple days ago and noticed some issues with her that she possibly had a neurological issue + was malnourished and not eating. I assumed and hoped the issue could be fixed with proper dietary care along with critical care hand fed formula as recommended by our vet. It did not improve and in less than 3 days I returned the guinea pig to petco hoping to switch out. I was met with accusations that I caused the guinea pig the harm and or that my guinea pigs “head butted” the baby?? I have a 24/7 camera on my guinea pigs and properly bonded them. Ontop of this I am a pre vet student who has been a vet tech for over a year at this point, and would never inflict harm on an animal. They denied me service and told me the guinea pigs weren’t ok to go home for 3 days, but the next day surprise my mom went in and was able to buy one. They are also extremely uneducated and when I mentioned that I think it’s a neurological issue they came back and said we don’t think it’s neurological we think it’s a brain issue… Which is the same thing. The manager was disgustingly smug and disrespectful and i’ll never be back and don’t recommend anyone to return if they value proper animal husbandry and educated staff.

Petco, where smart people don't go! Your staff, if u call it that, is useless! Fire them, and hire actual pet lovers. Never going back. Teenagers and adults zero care if anyone is buying or not. Stood around for 10 minutes being ignored. Bye! You lost a sale on ferret and 339.00 cage, plus toys plus bedding plus food. Guessing you lost at least 900 sale.

Walked in to buy some sunflower seeds for the birds. The prices are outrageous. $70 for a 30lb bag. On Amazon? $52 for a 40lb bag. This is why retail stores are going out of business. They are charging way too much money and not competing at all. I will not walk into a Petco store again under any circumstances.

We just had a great trip at petco with our new puppy. The worker Alexa did an amazing job helping us out with our questions and finding the exact products we needed for our puppy! She went above and beyond to ensure our needs and concerns were met and she was so polite throughout the process! We will definitely come back especially because of the kindness of this employee!

Alyia P. groomed both our dogs today and I couldn’t be more pleased. They look and smell amazing and we’ll definitely be back to see her again. We’ve been to several local groomers and this has been the best!

Keeping this review plain and simple, came in looking for dog food, found what I needed, checked out without a problem. Staff was friendly and they had a wide selection of products.

I rate this 5 stars only due to the customer service I received. Rachel on register was extremely helpful in picking up numerous things over the past year for my german shepard. From the cone of shame to joint medicine for my old gal, rachel is very knowledgeable about picking out things for my dog. And she always remembers Arya. Mandy in the grooming is fantastic with my dog and so gentle; my dog may be big, but she's also a big baby when it comes to grooming and nails. She also helped me pick out a great desheding brush to help in-between grooming apts.
