I am a first time home buyer. I saw the news in the newspaper that Bergen County helps those who buy a house for the first time in Bergen County which is the American Dream Program. This program is really useful for first time homeowners. So I applied and was allowed. Bergen County introduced Blue Foundry Bank as a process to get mortgages. Blue Foundry Bank really helped me get a loan quickly and accurately. If I buy another house next time, I want to work with Blue Foundry Bank again.

The biggest den of thieves in the banking industry. They charge you to close your account. They charge you for a lost passbook that was never sent when the bank changed names. $60 to close an account worth $150 that I've had there for 45 years. Not out of choice, but because of their insane charges. Better to keep your money under the mattress.

Employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate their recent changes and improvements. It's a great local bank with all the finance products I need.

This bank doesn't know what they are doing, especially their "fraud" detection department. Too strict. I can't even use my debit card to purchase anything without a transaction getting flagged for "fraud". Happened many times when trying to buy gifts for my girlfriend at the time and just happened again while trying to buy the PS5. The bank for whatever reason flagged the transaction as "suspicious" leading to me losing the PS5 in the cart. Had it with this bank and will likely change soon to another. I advise everybody else do the same or look elsewhere. Very inconvenient bank. What's the point of using their debit cards if almost everything gets flagged as "suspicious" or "fraudulent"?
