This place deserves a review! Everything is so good the cheese wontons and the general TSO chicken well done! Portions are great as well!

Ordered food from Yan Asian Restaurant last weekend when we were feeling sick with the flu. Amazingly the delivery was at my door within ten minutes of my order! I was very impressed. I was rather impressed with their food too. Of course we ordered soup. The Thai Coconut Soup was expensive but delicious. We got it with chicken just to come close to the old fashioned chicken soup that always was the cure-all.. The hot and sour soup was the best for fighting off this flu, though. It was spicy and hot (in temperature), to help me breathe. Thanks Yan for getting us through this flu!

An amazing take-out restaurant on Park Ave in Rutherford. The best dumplings in NJ! Also makes amazing Fried Wontons in the most delicious garlic sauce. Family run business - the husband and wife are the sweetest and accommodating on menu changes. Unfortunately there is no dine in service but that won't stop me from ordering once a month!!

Employees are nice but delivery took more than hour even though restaurant was 10 min away and sushi wasn’t that good it tasted old and smelled weird had to throw it away

First time trying Yan after seeing a few recommendations on FB. I'm usually weary of places that "cross the streams" and serve Chinese, Japanese, and Thai on the same menu. That usually means none of the three are their focus. Positives: Owners are very nice. The mini pork buns are amazing. Would go back just for them. Wonton soup is good, too. Egg roll = eh. The thai basil chicken wasn't bad but not a lot for the $. See below. Negatives: I know it's a "Lunch special", but when you include the rice in the same container, i.e, put it under the food -as they do w/ the Shrimp w/ Lobster sauce; Basil chicken, etc., the sauce is entirely soaked up by the rice, leaving the dish void of nearly all its sauce. Not to mention, the container was 90% rice, with just a small bit of the actual dish on top (pic). Very stingy. Additionally, I know shrimp and lobster sauce is a tough one to get right, as most places make it quite watery and flavorless. This was okay, and the shrimp were nice size, but I've never seen a place use artificial crab/seafood pieces in a lobster sauce. It usually contains green peas, scallions, etc., which this version didn't have. Overall, not impressed. The pork fried rice was okay but way too much soy used in cooking, as it was nearly 'black' in color, when most fried rice dishes are a golden brown. Hopefully they will take this as constructive criticism as they have potential. Just need to up their game a bit.

Good food. Only thing I would complain about is that the dumplings get stuck together when your order them online. I haven't been inside the place though so I don't know about service or it's ambiance.

Best Chinese food in the area, hands down. Pork fried rice, egg rolls, boneless ribs. All very delicious.

The food is so delicious Everything is so fresh. Those egg rolls are perfect. Highly recommend. I had order every time we come here so this restaurant is my favorite.

The soup dumplings are absolutely amazing here and they have such great variety of food from rice to noodles to sushi. I've ate here a couple times and my aboslute favorite dishes are the hibachi fried rice and the pan fried wontons in garlic sauce! cant go wrong with that kind of flavor

Amazing authentic Chinese food and I don’t give compliments out lightly. Sushi or Chinese the dishes are full of flavor and executed perfectly. This place is special.
