Disappointing Experience – Be Cautious if You’re a Young Couple
Many people recommended Best Guy for our move from New York to Israel, so we hired them. The original quote was for under 200 cubic feet. After packing at our apartment, it jumped to 300, and once it reached the warehouse, it increased again to 400 — double the original estimate. We had even signed a document stating the total wouldn’t exceed 20% above the quote, yet it went far beyond that. To his credit, Guy did split the difference with us, which we appreciated, but the process was inconsistent and stressful.
When our shipment arrived, around 25 books, my college diploma, and other items were damaged — clearly from poor packing, not transport. The loss was just under $1,000, yet we were only offered $150 as “goodwill,” and later $75 more after we involved a lawyer.
Guy was friendly, but overall the experience was disappointing. Other young couples we know had similar issues with inaccurate quotes. If you have a big household move, Best Guy may be fine, but for smaller shipments or young couples, look elsewhere.

We had BestGuy help us do a local move. They were incredibly thorough, completely honest and transparent about pricing from the beginning and even accommodated us when we needed to change the date of the move. Everything was handled delicately and with care. They made our move a lot less stressful.

We used best guy to pack all of our belongings for an overseas shipment. They were phenomenal. Extremely professional, very fast. All things were packed with the utmost care, while also very efficient from a space perspective.

I have used this mover a number of times, and am always very satisfied with the friendliness of the movers, the easy communication with the office, the speed and quality of the packing, and the final result. Will absolutely use them again.

The moving team was fantastic. They came through on very short notice, helped pack up my kitchen, which I didn’t have time for, and completed the move in just 4.5 hours. The initial estimate was highly accurate, with no surprises. Highly recommend!

Best Guys helped me in my move 10 years ago and my latest move last week in Manhattan.The crew was perfectly on time, fast, knowledgeable, professional and always attentive to my pieces and my requests. They made what could have easily been a very stressful experience a very pleasant one. They finished on time and had a nice productive attitude which I really appreciated. Great job!

I used these guys last year moving from Central Jersey to North Jersey, and my sister used them, too. I used them again for a local move, and they were amazing! Honestly, it's so nice and friendly. Isaiah was the leader, and Anthony and the 2 other men were great! They were so careful with everything and overall did an amazing job. Would definitely hire again!
