Country Wide Van line is easily the worst company I have ever dealt with.I started reviewing all of Country Wide Van Line's Google reviews 2 months prior to my moving date and in spite of seeing a lot of complaints about increasing the moving fee the last minute, their sale's rep convinced me that if I go room to room and closet to closet and name all of my items, it won't happen to me - which it finally did!! One of the worst experiences of my life was signing the contract to Country Wide Van line and "trusting" the google reviews. Do not choose the Country wide van line company for moving!!It was from New York to California on July20201) The company will definitely increase your contract fee in the time of moving, even if you gave them a list of every single item you have!! In order to not experience this moving fee at the time of moving , I called them 10 times after I signed the contract to add or remove some items, but anyways they added an extra $1300 in the last minute!2) I called the company today and requested to talk to costumer service for a copy of our contract, the dispatch guy, Kevin, treated me in a rude and unprofessional way and refused to give me a copy of our contract!3) They charged me double for my treadmill , and when I complained the truck driver said, "I don't have a Treadmill on my list"4) They broke most of my stuff from the bicycle to the coffee table to dishes, and as per the contract, the compensation was "60 cents" per pound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and finally I became eligible for a refund of only $200 for all my broken items! The most ridiculous thing i've ever heard!5) In the contract time when you ask about the delivery time they tell you between 7-10 days and it didn't arrive in even 2 weeks! But when you complain why it's been almost 3 weeks and you still haven't received the stuff, they will tell you "check the contract it says 21 days!!!!!!"6) Country Wide Van line is NOT organized at all! They don't have exact information about delivery time, if your things are in storage or on the way to ship!! when I called and made them crazy that why after almost 20 days you picked up the items and they haven't been delivered yet, the dispatch guy told me you will receive them in 5 days and right after, their driver called me that he is coming tomorrow!!!!!!!7) In this horrible Covid-19 situation, the driver REFUSED to wear a MASK or cover shoes and spent 3-4 hours in our home room by room reassembling the beds.8)They are proud of not being a"Carrier" they are a big big company with 40 trucks, but i'm sure the carriers do the job much better than Country wide van line company9) I told the sales person about our apartment's situation 10 times that we are on the second floor, no elevator, 20 stairs and the distance.... and she pretended she charged us only $75 but at the moving time their guy added $75 to $100 more for the apartment's situation10) the mover put some fragile boxes that marked "Fragile" on a trolly and hit it on the stairs every step of the way - 14 stairs! Instead of holding it gently on the other side and carrying it a safe manner which ended up with my plates broken.PLEASE GO WITH A COMPANY THAT INSTEAD OF ESTIMATING YOUR MOVING BY "Ib" OR "VOLUME " THAT YOU HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT , ESTIMATES IT BY FACETIMING ROOM TO ROOM AND CLOSET TO CLOSET OR PHYSICALLY COMES AND DOES IT.I have witnesses for my claim and have attached only a few pics, contact me at

DON'T EVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! SCAM ARTISTS!!!They are only after your money and their services were TERRIBLE. They gladly took my $2200 deposit. Then they showed up late to my house and without enough workers. Then I had to pay another $2300 just to get everything loaded up. Then they told me it wouldn't all fit on the truck and it would cost extra to get a 2nd truck. We were moving from Tennessee to California, but I didn't have a destination address yet. So I told them the city we would be moving to in California within the next few weeks. What did they do? They put all of our stuff in a storage unit in GEORGIA without notifying me!!! Needless to say, I was pretty frustrated when I called 2 weeks later with a destination address and they informed me that our stuff was NOT in California but still in Georgia. It would also take another 3 WEEKS before we finally got our stuff delivered (after countless phone calls and threats to report them to the BBB). THEN our stuff finally arrives, the movers are completely unprofessional, smoking in our driveway, dirtying the carpets, THROWING boxes up and over the stair railing, and we found multiple broken items of furniture. To top it all off, my wife's WEDDING RINGS went MISSING off of a shelf in our living room while they movers were in our house (we noticed they were missing after they left). Countrywide would not assume any responsibility for the rings, and they would only reimburse us $300 for the damaged furniture IF I signed a liability release saying I wouldn't leave any bad reviews online... TALK ABOUT SCAM ARTISTS!!! Stay away from this company and use a trusted name. Do your research! Learn from our mistake, please.

They will give you a cheap quote to earn business. They will NOT guarantee a pick up date messing up all your travel plans. On day of pick up they will charge you 3 times the initial quote & some extra, now as you can’t find anything else in 1 day you’ll have to pay. They will say pay in CASH about 2K otherwise your stuff will reach destination after 2 weeks! Even ATM doesn’t dispense more than 1.5K at a time. Manager says he will NOT call you. Customer service is terrible. They have a 26ft truck it has a max capacity of about 1800cubic feet but they claim that their truck can carry 2500cft and they will charge you accordingly. Hard to trust, poor communication. Cash hungry. Worst Manager.

LOOK AT THE BAD REVIEWS. IGNORE THE EMPLOYEE REVIEWS. They bait and switch the prices. I was quoted one price they came and quoted another $1200. The manager of the drivers attitude is disgraceful. All-American Van Lines will stop picking up. Country wide van lines is a subcontractor ( brokers) ignore them , ignore them , ignore them. Don’t be stupid like me.Service: Interstate moving

I used these movers for my move from Maine to Utah, so many things went wrong. On the day if the move, their truck broke down en route to my home- nobody called me. They were supposed to be at my home between 8-11am. At 12pm I called them to find out where they were (I had to be out that day) the rep told me about the truck and said they would TRY to be there the following day. The next day the guys did show up and proceeded to pack and load my stuff. When they were done the driver said that my stuff had exceeded the expected volume and said it was going to add nearly $2,000 to the price (even though my bid was guaranteed and I actually had less stuff than I predicted when getting the estimate)!!!. It took nearly 3 weeks for my stuff to get to Utah. I called for updates which went unanswered. When I finally was able to talk to a rep I was told that my stuff would be there “by the end of the week” and come Sunday night I still had no idea where my stuff was. The driver then called me to let me know that his truck had broken down (yes-another breakdown ) and that he wouldn’t be in Utah for 2 more days. When my stuff did arrive there were 2 guys plus the truck driver to unload and reassemble stuff (a service I paid for). One of the guys smoked...in my house...even after I asked him not to. They did not reassemble anything (I was told they didn’t know how and didn’t have any tools to complete the work). As they were unloading the truck I noticed some things that I knew were not mine. I told the driver that the items didn’t belong to me and he said, “maybe you forgot that you had them”. I first I thought he was joking but he then tried to convince me that those must be mine because they were with my stuff. As I began unboxing my belongings I have discovered that they have lost several items - ALL of my drink ware (coffee mugs/steins, wine glasses, beer steins...) My Keurig coffee maker is gone. Two memory foam pillows (new from Christmas ), orthopedic dog bed, crockpot, blue tooth speakers, parts to an indoor bike rack. I reached out to customer service/claims and have yet to get a response.DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!! They may seem like they’re less expensive but you will pay$$$$$ before the end.Services: Interstate moving

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Gave a cheap quote over the phone and on moving day added another $5K. Our quoted $4K move costs us over $9K! What choice did we have on moving day? Although the workers were great and professional, i believe that the one lead is trained to make a sale and get the price up on the move. I was appalled and so mad at myself for not researching further. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Or if you do, have thousands move available for your move. ALSO, they only accept cash.... Horrible.

I was quoted a move at a price of 742 cubic feet but the quote was changed without my knowledge to 542 so when driver came a day late he demanded $500 cash on the spot (no credit cards) I had to rush and go to the ATM and have the stress of having strangers with my things. Tried to call movers but no response so I was left to subcontractors. Buyer beware of this trick to exhort extra money from you!!

If you've read all of the bad reviews and still decide to use this company I can only say this: read every, single word of your contract and be sure to get insurance. Be aware the quote will likely double. Even though they take an inventory, the mover's list didn't match what was in my contract. They also don't include wrapping TVs and stairs/freight elevators in the initial quote. That is all added later. I will say it was my own fault there for not understanding that part properly. The movers were rushing to get to another job so they didn't take apart furniture as I was told they would (a bed and a desk... only two pieces to take apart!!). This took up more space in the truck which I was charged for.As thorough as I thought I was, they still put me through the ringer and a $2k job turned into a $4k job. Of course I still tipped the movers because it wasn't their fault but the whole experience was awful. For reference, I have moved across country 3 times and in state 6 times. This was far and away the worst experience.Charlie and Mary helped me with a small claim for a missing box and were friendly and quick to reply. That is the only positive thing I have to say.Services: Interstate moving

Our out of state move was two days late arriving. There were two movers to move our baby grand Piano. I’ve moved this piano several times with from 3 to 5 movers. I called the company immediately and a piano moving company was scheduled by the owners to assemble the piano in my home. The 2 movers were exhausted in the August Florida heat. We were the last family of 5 on a very long trip south. Which explains why they tossed boxes clearly mark GLASS FRAGILE THIS END UP. The piano has a large dent at one end, chipped lacquer, a large scratch that wasn’t there prior to the move and the keys were all jammed together. The boxes were tossed down the ramp as I explained what the words I had written all over the boxes meant. Needless to say some priceless items were destroyed. Some vintage glassware that belonged to my grandmother. China from our 1983 wedding we managed to keep intact through 5 previous moves. My husbands company transferred him a lot. I called the two phone numbers we had used all along. Robert, who I guess was a sales man and another who had called regarding the piano claiming to be the owner. All my calls, voicemails and text messages were ignored. So this is my only avenue because the cost of suing isn’t worth it. I suppose they’re counting on that. I wonder if they’re counting on me posting this review anywhere I can find to review this company. I’m a reviewer. Good or bad. This was the worst move EVER.Service: Interstate moving

Nightmare do not use! The final estimate was double the original...I understand having more cubic feet but this was ridiculous. Mr. Stanley Rosen assured me he would be right there if I had any problems; well I guess Mr. Stanley has dropped off the face of the earth. The actual movers, Pablo and his crew, were fantastic - no issues on pick up. Currently waiting on delivery which is 4 days past original date because “the truck broke down”. No one calls to update me and when I call, no one answers and totally get the runaround. I actually talked to Mr. “John Zellers” yesterday who accidentally left our call connected and he and some chick were partying and playing pool! I did so much research before choosing this company and all I saw were glowing reviews...now all I see are horror stories like mine...almost feels like some kind of internet manipulation because I really thought I did my homework! Bottom line...do not fall for these con artists.Service: Interstate moving

The initial sale was ok, and when I contacted the sales rep to get the total again so I could get the money orders, he was very responsive. When the movers arrived, they charged me an extra $680 because of the "extra handling" for a curio cabinet, and what they estimated as a few extra hundred cubic feet. I have no complaints with the actual moving crews on either end. They were fast and efficient picking up. I told the head mover the date I wanted to have delivery. We are coordinating a move from the East Coast to the Midwest, at about 900 miles. We had several other trips to make for the closing, etc, and told them exactly when we wanted the delivery, and got agreement with the lead of the pickup crew that should be no problem. Delivery day came, and no one showed up. I tried to contact my sales rep, and over the course of the next two weeks, and several messages and calls, he never contacted me. I finally was able to talk to someone in dispatch, and they said they would come the next week. I was determined not to have to pay an extra storage fee, if they keep the stuff over a month. I received an invoice from the company at the end of the moving day with a remaining balance of $1918, which had the extra handling charge of the curio cabinet taken off. When I finally got the movers to deliver the goods, the charge was back on, and I had to pay an extra $263 cash for the handling, even though I showed him my final invoice from the company. He had the paperwork from the first movers, who put that on the invoice. I have no complaints on the workers. Jose, Frank, and ChuchoJose were efficient in moving and packing my storage unit at the final location. I just would never use this company again because of the paperwork errors, and the unresponsive sales and delivery, and the extra charges for packing the curio cabinet that were not disclosed at the time of sale. I heard one box rattle, that had my glassware in it, which is probably broken. I haven't unpacked anything to see if anything else is broken.Service: Interstate moving

They trick you so badly that they will increase the estimate to sky high. Never go by the sales man words. Roy who is the sales guy, he will play by the words. So much of harassment that they will call & say that the package will not be delivered for various reasons. Such unprofessional attitude.....
