I highly recommend the Scotch Plains location of Jump Immersion School for all parents interested in immersion Mandarin or Spanish for kids. Not only are the teachers amazing and nurturing but they have the best staff and center directors to keep kids engaged and to keep parents informed. They really care for children like their own and foster an amazing learning environment full of leaning, love, and fun. I have no experience with other jump locations but I would highly recommend this location to any family member or friend. I am so thankful for this resource in our community

We absolutely LOVE the Jump Immersion School in Scotch Plains. When we moved to the area, we were looking for a Spanish immersion program and came across Jump. Everyone was very warm and welcoming right off the bat. Our daughter has grown a lot and learned so much under the school's curriculum, but most importantly, she has been loved and cared for. It truly warms my heart to watch the Jump staff engage with the children. They have genuine love and affection for the kids, so not only are they getting a great early education and language immersion, but they feel safe and loved and are forming lasting bonds and relationships with peers and teachers. We would love to stay at Jump forever!

Jump Immersion School is truly an exceptional school that has transformed my child's early years. From the moment we walked through their doors, I knew we had found a place where our little one could thrive and flourish. The team of teachers and staff at Jump is unparalleled and is nothing short of amazing. Their warmth, patience, and genuine love for children shine through in every interaction. They have an innate ability to connect with each child on a personal level, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.Jump has an amazing curriculum. It encompasses a comprehensive approach to early childhood education, covering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Each day, my little girl is exposed to a variety of engaging activities, including art, music, sensory play, early literacy exercises, Spanish, English as well as playtime in the gym and outside. The teachers seamlessly blend structured learning with ample opportunities for free play and exploration, striking a perfect balance that allows toddlers to blossom at their own pace. July innovation month is truly something special where the kids get an extra month of fun with friends and learning continues, if you so choose. As parents, we appreciate the open lines of communication that Leyla and the teachers provide. The teachers send weekly email updates, sharing highlights and photos of our child's day. They encourage parental involvement through frequent opportunities to participate in school activities and events through out the year. This collaborative approach fosters a strong sense of community and allows us to be active partners in our child's early education.Jump is nurturing and supportive I couldn’t be more grateful for the dedicated teachers and staff who play a pivotal role in our journey. Jump Immersion was the best decision we made for our little one and her Spanish is really taking off! If you are looking for an immersion school that truly works, then look no further than Jump, you will not be disappointed!

JUMP Immersion school has been a great experience. The moment you walk in you are welcomed and just feels like a family. My son was originally going to another school that called themselves an immersion school and only taught Chinese for 30 minutes. At jump the teachers are all certified and have a great plan laid out. I found that my son always came home happy and inspired to apply the things he's learned. I would never give it a second thought to recomend this school.

We moved from NYC to the area 2 years ago. We had originally enrolled our daughter and son in a different school in our town of Westfield. We had a very bad experience with that school and we had to find a new one for them. Unfortunately since it was in the middle of the school year, we couldn’t find another school that could accommodate both of them.Heartbroken and traumatized, we explained our situation to the owner of Jump, Jacqueline, and she was very sympathetic and tried to help us right away. We booked an appointment at the Scotch Plains location and everything terrible turned around from that moment.Leyla, the director of Jump at Scotch Plains, and Jorge the associate director, opened the door with big warm smiles and welcomed us inside. With tears in my eyes, I explained our situation. Leyla, a mother of 3, immediately teared up with me and gave me a huge hug.All the people at Jump moved mountains for my children to attend in the middle of the school year. I know that it wasn’t easy for them.A teacher can be a huge influence in a student’s life. Life lessons and behavior are learned from teachers, especially at an early age. Aside from us parents, our kids spend most of their days with their teachers. Their influence on our kids can continually have an impact for the rest of their lives. Teachers have one of the most important jobs in the world.Today Averie & Trevor absolutely LOVE going to school. Not one complaint from either of them. Ever. They are both so happy at Jump. They have learned so much in a safe and loving environment. Jump really is an amazing school. The education my kids are getting is excellent. The staff at Jump are wonderful and they are all truly genuine people. What they’ve accomplished is incredible. We will forever be grateful to the Jump family for all they’ve done for us. Thank you!!! ?

We've been fans of Jump for 2 years now. Immersion is the best way to learn a language, and it's not scary for kids. We don't speak Mandarin at home, and we as parents are even learning a little. It's just a great way to learn for kids in this young age. I'm confident that this will set them up for success in later years. The academic curriculum is incredibly strong but most of all the teachers are so warm and nurturing. The staff is what really sets Jump apart from others. While I loved our prior daycare facilities, this is much more like a school. The Jump team is responsive to any communication, proactive in anticipating students' (and parents') needs, and flexible to unique circumstances. They transitioned seamlessly into high quality virtual programming with materials that we picked up every few weeks to supplement the live online learning. We've been back in person since September, and their safety protocols have kept my kids safe and engaged - I'm just so thankful for the Jump team this year. They have a great before and aftercare program as well, with a mix of activities and unstructured play. The summer camp is incredibly thoughtful with the combination of fun and intellectual activity - my girls loved the space weeks. And back pre-COVID they took them on really fun field trips. For two working parents who wanted their kids in a challenging yet nurturing environment, Jump is the perfect choice.

We have been a part of the Jump family for 2.5 years now and it is the best choice we have made for our daughter. As parents who neither speak Mandarin, it was a worry of ours that our daughter would not be able to speak with her own grandparents. Our daughter is 5yo now. She is now able to speak, read, & write in both Mandarin and English and communicates with her grandparents beautifully. She even understands all her math, science, and history concepts in Mandarin! Jump is a compassionate organization and really get to know your children’s strengths and weaknesses on an individual basis. It is a high-quality education mixed with a whole lot of engaging, fun activities for the kids as well as for parents! My daughter goes to Kindergarten in-person day school. As a nurse, I know how high risk for exposure to COVID-19 is and I was apprehensive sending my daughter to school however Jump has been professional and commanding strict CDC guidelines with a small, intimate teacher:student ratio. They have put my mind at ease and have worked with us to make sure my daughter is safe and receiving the best education. I fully recommend this school and am planning to send my 2.5 yo son in the Fall to follow in my daughters footsteps!

My daughter attended the mandarin program at Jump Immersion School from Pre-k 4 - 1st grade. We had an over whiningly positive experience and the school quickly became a second home to my daughter. She received an excellent education, became fluent in mandarin ( it is not spoken at home) and was given the emotional support needed during a challenging period of her childhood. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the school and their staff. This is a hidden gem in the Westfield/Scotch Plains area.Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Nurturing school that has provided my son with strong Spanish skills and a great educational foundation to put him on the right track. Been at the school 2.5 years. My son who is 5 can read and write in both English and Spanish. We use the before and after care which is flexible for a double working parent family.

The experience our family has had with Jump has always been exceptional. We initially had our kids in the Goddard schools for preschool and we were not happy with the level of care there. All the teachers and staff at Jump are so caring and warm and our kids loved it from their very first day. The level of the teacher's dedication has been reflected in my kids language progress. They speak, understand and are writing Mandarin. I recommend this school for any parent wanting a jumpstart in their kids language immersion experience.

Our daughter is finishing her first year at Jump and my husband and I cannot say enough great things about the program. Not only is she learning a second language but she has gained so much confidence as an individual. We were nervous that we only speak English at home and would she be behind , however now with our first year complete, our daughter can speak and understand a second language and her English has not fallen behind at all. The teachers and administrators are amazing and truly love the students. As I said before we cannot say enough great things about this school.

My twin boys entered Jump Immersion fall 2018. They will stay at Jump for summer camp and the 2019-2020 academic year. That is a testament to how much we love Jump. The teachers and staff are extremely caring, and competent. The extra productions that the staff puts together are great - art show, family day, Chinese New Year just to name a few. Moreover the ability to communicate with all teachers and staff is easy, and there is a low teacher turnover. I highly recommend Jump Immersion Scotch Plains!

We began our journey with Jump when it was in Westfield and, after a year, went along with them as they moved to the larger space in Scotch Plains. We very much loved Jump from the beginning as their mission was perfectly in line with what we wanted... complete language immersion in a school that focused on academic skills and social-emotional learning. The first year in Westfield was wonderful; however, after the move to Scotch Plains, a number of issues became glaringly apparent... none of which had to do with our child's wonderful lead teachers (Vanessa, Royda, and Rosalia) who were all loving, genuine, and truly gifted, or the high expectations that the lead teachers had for their students. The problems had to do with the way Jump, as a whole, is run.First and foremost, while the lead teachers were wonderful, we took issue with an English teacher who discussed topics with the pre-K students that were not appropriate for the age group and who had a habit of showing videos to the students (we also weren't a fan of the fact that there was an English teacher to begin with, as the school initially started out as fully immersive). There were also numerous instances when the "specials" teachers stopped showing up for work for one reason or another and there were no replacements available, causing the lead teachers to have to step in and take on a heavier workload. Furthermore, beforecare and aftercare were rarely, if ever, in the target language (at pick-up, the teachers and students were often speaking English instead of Spanish) and the aftercare teachers changed a number of times during our last year in the school... once again, very little consistency. We were also told, when we initially registered for Jump, that the school would use absolutely no technology (this was something specific we were looking for); however, within three short years, the owner made the decision to begin incorporating iPads and computers in the classroom. Regardless of how much or how little time the students use the devices in school, it's incomprehensible that any preschool or Kindergarten would incorporate such technology in the classroom knowing full well the harm it causes to developing young minds (the studies are out all over the place). In fact, the owner even encouraged the use of computers at home by stating, during a meeting about the new technology initiative, that students could continue their work at home via a website. The list of complaints about the school go on and on from the high teacher turnover rate to the lack of true cultural immersion in "specials" classes to the fact that the winter and spring performances were more like an advertisement for the school than a demonstration of what the students had learned that year. The owner touts her school itself as being on par with prep schools like Pingry and Peddie, but as a prep-school graduate, I can say with absolute certainly that Jump is nowhere near the caliber of those schools, which have been successfully established for 150+ years. The final nail in the coffin for us came when we decided, against our better judgment, to enroll our youngest in the school in the spring for the following school year. After a few short weeks, a number of additional incidents occurred and information was relayed to us by other parents and teachers, which caused us to change our minds. We immediately contacted the owner (before the school year had even ended) to request a refund and we explained our reasoning in detail. Despite the fact that we had been patrons of the school from its start in Westfield, and despite the fact that the previous school year hadn't even ended (meaning the owner had plenty of time to fill the vacant spot during the final weeks of the school year and throughout the entire summer), she refused to give us a refund, citing the school policy. To us, that clearly demonstrated the owner's true character. We have since moved on from Jump and are very glad we did as we have found alternative means for ensuring our children become
