“Unfortunately my transfer case broke one night on my way home from work in mid September 2021. I had AAA tow it to a local shop. That guy didn’t have the capability to fix it so he sent it to a well known franchise transmission shop who’s initials are LM. Well LM gave me a quote of $3000 to fix the broken transfer case with a 30 day guarantee! Me not knowing much about cars knew that was a very bad deal. I then reached out to my cousin who works at a Chevrolet dealership (I have a Chevy) to see if I could purchase the part from him. I could but with the supply chain issue, the part wouldn’t be available until mid November (a 2 month wait). I relayed this message to LM and he told me I had to have my car towed back to my house until the part came in. Problem with that is I don’t have driveway parking and wouldn’t be able to move the car if needed (such as for the never ending street repairs or snow). I asked him to give me a day to figure out what I could do. The next day I got very busy and didn’t get to figure something out. Late afternoon, LM called and said he had put my car on the street and in Union where he is located, there is no overnight parking so the car will be impounded. I googled “Transmission Shops” and found Dr. Marv’s. He had great reviews so I called him. I explained about the 2 month wait for the part and asked if he would be able to store my car. They said yes and couldn’t have been nicer! So I had the car towed to Dr. Marv’s! More supply chain issues and my part didn’t come in until the end of January 2022. I kept Dr. Marv’s informed of this. As soon as the part was received by them, my car was fixed a day later! Not only did they do a terrific job but between the cost of the new part and the installation by Dr. Marv’s, my cost was far less than the $3000 quote from the other transmission shop! From simple oil change to complex electrical work, brakes, transmission, tires, alignment, everything. Never have I left dissatisfied either with their prices or quality of work, yet.Honest and truthful. These days that's all that matter really for an auto body shop. Coupled with reasonable prices this setup is hard to beat. I had my Rolla 07 regularly serviced there including suspension work, water pump, brakes and never had issues with quality, price or timeliness.”

“OK so I have a Honda pilot bought it in for service wholesale transmission they told me that I need a new transmission that my transmission had failed…..ok at that point I decided that I wanted to get the transmission rebuilt that’s what I decided on. They had the car a week and a half. I got the car a week ago Friday and I’m having drops on the ground of transmission fluid and antifreeze, so at this point, I have come in today for service to let them know that antifreeze and transmission fluid is leaking from my car had no leaks at all prior to bringing the car in for service. Even when the transmission had failed I had no leaks so at this time I’m here for service. I will let you guys know what’s happening further. I’m gonna leave the car here for service today and I’ll let you know what’s happening further when I pick the car up. At this time I’m being told that they gonna put it on a lift and they’re going to see where the leak says an in-service whatever needs to be taken care of. Again, I will let you know what the results are when I pick the car up.. will give a further review when I pick up my car . Not a good experience right now…….. UPDATE got the car back drove it a week everything’s working perfect like never before I’m so happy yay team wholesale transmission and they made me feel so good, because they were so tentative getting it right right from the door I must say ! I must say they were very communicative with the whole ordeal ,and I can appreciate that.”

“I have taken my vehicle to John's Automotive twice now and thought it time to write a review. I generally look for three factors when taking my vehicle to an auto repair shop; 1) Honesty, 2) Knowledge, and 3) Speed of Service. John's Automotive excels in all three aspects. Sometime visiting a shop for the first time you get a little nervous not really knowing what level of service you are really going to receive. From the start I felt they sincerely wanted to help me with my vehicle issues, especially given I own a 15+ year old suv with over 320K miles. “I've had years of dealing with fluid leaks from my 2006 Honda V-6 2dr cpe. After I moved this summer(2023) to Plainfield, inquiries at service stations and auto parts stores led me to Sal's Fanwood Auto Transmissions. Three leaks, one requiring dropping the transmission to replace a seal, were cured. All repairs were within estimates that were well below others offered "back down south." “Orlando test drove my car and diagnosed my transmission problem. However he cannot perform the service because it's a Honda transmission that needs to be serviced at the dealer unfortunately.
