The motel is in a perfect location. Across the street from the beach. Our first contact was Diane last august, we were looking for a place for 12 of us,family and friends. She showed us around ,we loved it and she really sold the place as far as security and a nice family oriented motel. We booked 5 rooms. All next to each other. We checked in august 25, and met Stella at the front desk. She was an absolute pleasure . She explained how everything worked and all the highlights. She has a fantastic personality and was so welcoming. They have coffee and bagels all day, plenty of parking. The pool was beautiful. The weather was fantastic ,the ocean was fabulous. This was a beautiful vacation for us all.We went on the boardwalk at night ,fireworks, rides, games, ice cream. If you go to seaside park on vacation give this place a try .When you go tell Diane and Stella pat says hi ,see you next summer😎🍷

I went in Wed AM to ask a question n woman was texting or playing a game on her phone...she didn't even notice there for awhile n jumped when she did. I stood looking at her for a good minute. Room was clean but very small n very old. They should update a bit.

Typical beach hotel...nothing fancy but clean, a place to shower and sleep and very convenient location to beach and boardwalk. Pool was very clean too.

My family and I stayed here for a few days recently. The room was very clean and had space for us to enjoy the indoors when the weather wasn't cooperating. Great location just across from the beach. Parking was easy and on-site for guests. Loved that there were complimentary bagels and coffee daily. We enjoyed the heated pool. The owners and staff made our stay very comfortable and inviting. Will definitely be back! This place is a gem at the shore!

Lovely motel right on Ocean Ave across from beach. Family run. Nice people. Clean rooms. Bagels & coffee provided daily. Quick walk to the beach & a nice pool to jump into after day on sand. And very reasonably priced for the area. Highly recommend especially for 2.

This was my go to motel for Seaside until the owner/management refused to refund my deposit within 6 hours after booking because it was within their 14 day window (it was a last minute trip). I had to cancel because of severe financial difficulties that arose within the time of booking. They didn’t like that I attempted to cancel with my bank and accused me of being rude. That’s not who I am. As a single mom I was in a financial crisis and they didn’t care. They just wanted to keep their deposit. (And as an fyi, my room was easily booked again after I canceled). Anyway, I begged and pleaded for another chance. I’m not even sure why I did this as this hotel isn’t all that and every room I’ve been in has a mildew odor. They said ok because as an AF veteran I was going to run the Semper Five for the Marine Raiders which had become tradition for me. The week before the 5K I had huge car issues and was facing at least $3K in repairs (but unbeknownst to me at the time my engine was blown and had to buy a new car). I had to cancel my reservation and forgo my deposit for the hotel and race. I was devastated. I trained all year for this race and the year prior I couldn’t run it due to a tibia fracture . A couple weeks ago I booked a room with Charlroy online for the 5K weekend this year. Almost 2 weeks later I received an email stating my reservation was canceled and I was no longer welcome at the Charlroy. They even tried telling me I tried to avoid the block by booking online when this is how I always booked. I have an email from
Diane saying I can stay there again. I called trying to get answers but Diane never let me get 2 words in. I never wish anything bad upon anybody because that’s not who I am but I sure the heck hope that the employees and management of this hotel learn customer service strategies and somehow develop true sympathy and empathy for the people that stay at their hotel because not everybody is a millionaire living on an unlimited budget. Some of us are single parents trying to survive day-to-day and hoping and praying that we can provide a lasting memory and vacation for our children. I am eternally grateful that I have not had to go to Seaside this year for a vacation and was able to take my kids to and appreciate Florida. Charlroy, you demise is certain. Your grandparents are flipping in their graves.

Pack a fly swatter because you'll need it! The bathroom sink had no hot water at all, and shower had zero water preasure! Soaps in shower were OLD refill bottles with the pump tops dangling off. Toilet will flush after about three tries if you are lucky. You will need something small to level the fridge out as it rocks back and forth. Pool is not heated! There is a No Smoking policy (with a hefty fine) for smoking inside or outside anywhere around the premises, but you will smell cigarettes and pot while you are there. May want to rethink bringing children there. Room had no space rugs, so expect lots of debris to track in and spread through out the whole floor! We had to ask for coffee filters that the cleaning staff missed, even though we waited hours to be let into our room. I would NEVER go back! I Do NOT recommend this joint!
TO THE OWNER who responded to this..I know you dont personally clean the rooms when your guests check out. You have a cleaning staff that goes into the rooms. A person cleaning to make a pay check at a cheap motel would never be honest about finding a LOT of cash in an envelope that was pushed into the side of a bed and come tell you right away. They would pocket it and quick! I called your hotel in a panic after driving 2 hours home. I explained to you thay my father told me he left a lot of cash that he pushed into the side of the bed. I was very nive to you and said that if my father calls he is not going to be as nice as I am. I did not scream. I did NOT say he was senile and feel very offended by that! A man gets old, but a man never forgets where he leaves his money. I was told over the phone by the owner that the room HAD BEEN turned over and no one had checked into it yet. That is when I was told someone will go "double" check. At that very momnet I new whoever turned those sheets over first, got an early christmas bonus. Nobody had to flip a mattress over as my old father can not. I never leave reviews unless I have an incredible experience. Everything I wrote is true!

The main appeal of this motel is its location. It's directly across the street from the beach and about 100 yards from the main part of the boardwalk where you will find restaurants, shops, the rides, etc. They offer free parking, a pool and bagels/coffee each morning. Everyone that worked there was really friendly and helpful. They offer different categories of rooms but our particular room was quite small and the bathroom was even smaller. Overall, we really enjoyed our time in Seaside!

The Charlroy motel was amazing! Me and my family stayed there for one night and were so sad to leave! The manager Dianna and the desk clerk Missy were super nice, helpful, and provided fantastic customer service. The rooms were great and super cozy. I can’t wait to come back!

* My family and I stayed there last week. Stella (front desk) was wonderful! She was friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
* The location was ideal for us as we loved being across the street from the beach.
* We love using pools when we travel and were very excited to jump in. Unfortunately, the water was so cold. Other hotel guests we talked to on-site said the same thing. I did see a response to a recent review stating that they don’t heat the pool when the temp is in the high 70s/80s. I would recommended checking the water temperature if guests request the heater be utilized. We wanted to love our stay and talked about returning later in the summer, but the water felt like a cold plunge vs a refreshing dip. Our kids love swimming and typically go in for hours when we travel. They weren’t in the pool long. My husband and I did not swim at all. I did check with Stella about the possibility of heating the water and she said she’d find out.
Again, she was wonderful. I don’t think she had any control over the situation though. The ocean temperature couldn’t be controlled, but the pool could have.
* Beach passes were available with a credit hold (standard in the area). We did use them and enjoyed some time in the sun and sand. Hopefully we’ll be able to swim next time we are in the area. The water was just too cold for most beachgoers last week, but that didn’t deter us from listening to the sounds of the waves and one of our kids dug in sand joyfully. The beach access was easy, especially with the extended walkway on the sand providing an easier roll of our beach cart.
* We have stayed in Seaside Heights in past years and decided to try Seaside Park this time. We loved the more peaceful vibe. When we wanted to go on the boardwalk for dining, games or rides, it was only a couple of blocks away.
* The bagels provided daily were fresh and delicious. It was nice to not have to leave the motel to grab a quick bite.
* The WiFi was challenging to connect to from inside our room. I work remotely, so that was not ideal. We were able to connect poolside and up on the sun deck, but not in our room consistently.
* We did have an issue with an additional hold on our card that was not discussed with us prior to placing it. Had it been mentioned, we would not have taken issue with it, but there wasn’t any communication about it until I received an alert from one of my financial apps and inquired at the desk about it. Stella looked into the issue as she was not aware of the situation. The amount was reasonable given the concern that was shared with us, but not communicating with us that a hold would be placed was not ok. The pending charge was released a few days after our departure.
* The room amenities were nice. The bedding was sufficient and comfortable overall. There was some minor wear in the room, but very normal for beach motels that are subject to sea air.
Nearby activities: Boardwalk, Casino Pier, Water Park, Splash Park, Mini Golf, Dining
Walkability: Easy access to beach and boardwalk

I had most of my interactions with Stella, who is a sweetheart. She was professional, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay. I was able to check in early and was notified when my room was ready, which was about two hours earlier than expected.
The hotel is conveniently located very close to the beach and boardwalk. They offer great amenities such as free parking, ice, coffee, and bagels. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, contrary to some other reviews I had read. Additionally, I had no trouble getting my towels swapped for clean ones.
Every morning, I enjoyed watching the staff clean the pool and pool area while I sipped my coffee. This is a family-friendly hotel, so you will see a lot of kids around, but I had no problem with that.
However, if you’re young and looking to party, this might not be the right hotel for you. I came to relax at the beach, and this hotel perfectly suited my needs. I hope to be back in August.
Rooms: clean and somewhat up to date.
Safety: cameras everywhere plenty of lights at night
Walkability: super close to beach and broadwalk
Noteworthy details: Free Coffee, Bagels , Wifi, & Ice
