I had a bad experience at the SH, NJ location. I was waiting for 20 min for a manager to take a return. The sales associate never checked back on me while I’m sitting there waiting not knowing what was going on. I decided to walk to the back of the store asking a sales person if the manger is coming… she said, she doesn’t know where the manager is… after 10 more min he came, didn’t say hello, went to register took the return, no interaction.. no greeting… nothing.. cold as ice. Hermes - Never again. Terrible customer service. I felt awful leaving the store. My future luxury goods won’t be HERMES! Never again!

Not really a luxury experience. I had to stand in line for an hour to attempt a return only to find out that you can only get a store credit not a full refund. * beware *Unlike other high end stores like Chanel and Neiman Marcus where service is friendly and fast, customer service in this shop is not my top place to shop.

Awful customer service for the amount of money Hermes charges. Btw they dont accept returns for money - only merchandise credit!!!Moreover, they force people to wait in line for at least 30 min as they claim that they are understaffed (which still shouldn’t be an issue that customers at such stores should experience) even though there are plenty of Hermes-associated people hanging in the store and doing nothing. I wouldn’t go there again and my whole impression about this presumably high end brand has been completely ruined

Stop in here whenever I'm in the area to see what's new. Used to work with a sales associate who is no longer there (Piper) who helped me purchase a lovely bag. Since she left, I've connected with an SA who is very nice but we keep missing one another. In any case, yesterdays drop by was embarrassing for Hermes. When asked to see an item, a sales associate opened a drawer and removed a pair of well used white cotton gloves. She informed me that I must don them in order to touch anything. When I asked if she had a fresh pair, I was told "no". So I made her touch the bag and highlight its features while she wore her personal silk gloves. She must be a new hire because in this post pandemic world who asks someone to put one used protective wear??!!! Her ignorance and rudeness was appalling. And laughable TBH. I shop at Hermes boutiques worldwide and am happy to go elsewhere where I am treated with respect and dignity. Shouldn't we all treat one another that way?

I generally shopped overseas until the pandemic hit and travel came to a halt. I was fortunate to have met Sarah - she is amazing! Sarah is responsive, extremely knowledgeable of the brand and products, and just pleasant to work with. She consistently delivers and is my Hermes fairy! I always look forward to visiting her and catching up.This past holiday weekend, however, Sarah, was extremely busy (as expected). It was an impromptu visit and we were introduced to Anna for the first time. Anna is just marvelous! She was patient, personable, sweet and knowledgeable for the entire hour.Separately, for anyone complaining, the SAs do not practice conditional selling, and they really don’t care how much you spend. What they do care about is the relationship you build with the SA. You could spend tens of thousands, but if you’re rude, self-entitled, and difficult to deal with, no SA is going to want to work with you.

Rudest store manager/ SA that I ever know in USA. The brand should do something like fire the store director with all the bad comments on how bad her management is.

Have been a customer of Hermes for over 25 years overall and the SH location for 19 years. We now work with Yuriy (used to work with Joy), who is professional and kind. Our interactions with this store, including the manager, have always been exceptional!

Always have the best experiences at this Hermes location. Brittany is the best and I cannot say enough good things about her. She has helped my wife and I purchase a lot of things that have been hard to get. Special thanks to her and I cannot recommend enough.

Terrible customer service.All I needed to pick up my order. The assistant didn’t introduce herself and security man told us her name is Jove when we’re exiting the store. After I told her I’m picking up my order, she said she needed my id, while I was pulling it up she grabbed it together with my credit card. No apologies whatsoever, passed the card and rashes away. When she brought order, she only directed to sign the paper and gave the bag quickly and went away. I’m very upset about the experience and will not be coming to the store.

Hermes treats their costumers like crap. The staff at this store are rude and entitled. Funny part is they probably can't even afford to buy things here. However people like myself who can are treated terribly. I am never buying a single thing from Hermes. Boycott Hermes!

I couldn’t just not leave a review because the service I received today was exceptional. I cannot understand the bad reviews. Brittany was so sweet and accommodating from the beginning of my experience until the end! All of the sales associates seemed very pleasant also. So glad I chose this location and incredibly happy with my purchase. I will definitely be back!

To say the customer service at this Hermes is terrible and pathetic would be a major understatement! I bought my wife a bracelet at a Hermes in Paris and it was the wrong size. She tried to return it (with a receipt) in Short Hills and the sales associate AND manager told her that the AMEX receipt wasn't good enough and that a merchant receipt is required for a return. After submitting a request online for a merchant receipt, I am still waiting. Quite frankly, i'm pretty shocked that a luxury brand is this poorly run and managed. Steer clear and give your business to companies that care about their customers and make the return process seamless and efficient...that's what people want.

There are a lot of mixed reviews about this store. I took an immigrant relative here- visiting from Asia. Shes not a looker and annoying- but nobody gave her any problems when she bought an overpriced scarf for clout. The manager was a stiff, i kept asking him questions about company procedure to acquire products that are not showcased, plus i was really trying to annoy him. But he kept his cool.
