I'm giving this 5 stars because the staff was nice and helpful and I had no problems. I was only here though to exchange a gift and would never pay these astronomical prices personally. My preferences shouldn't count against the store though.

If I could give this store -5 stars I would. I have my registry with Pottery Barn, and when I received 3 sets of dishes, 2 of the sets had broken bowls. Things break during shipping, I totally understand that. But to prevent this from happening again, I called the store to do an in-store exchange to ensure that the next sets I receive won't arrive broken again. When I called the store, I have received possible the WORST customer service I have ever experience in my whole life. The woman I spoke to was arrogant, dismissive, and just overall extremely rude. I was first accused by the representative of breaking the bowls myself, and then told that this store doesn't accept in-store exchanges and to call customer service (I had to call back twice because she hung up on me twice). When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told she was on an important call and could not come to the phone. I then called customer service to see if that was truly their policy, to which the customer service rep said he had never heard of that before and they should absolutely accept the in-store exchange. He called the store himself to tell them this, and they told him, a Potter Barn Customer Service Representative, that they don't need his help and HUNG UP ON HIM. The customer service rep was astonished and extremely apologetic for this experience, and was able to provide me with a refund so I can purchase it in store myself rather than have to do an \\\"exchange\\\". I will never be giving this store my business again, and truly advise others against it as well.

Love this store, mostly because of the amazing service. Shoutout to Judy. I bypass 3 other PB stores to come here because I know I will always be taken care of. Whether I am buying things for myself or a client, Judy has it covered!

Do not buy furniture from pottery barn. I purchased a very expensive leather sectional. I was told that the leather was of the best quality. It's been approximately 2 1/2 years and the leather is wearing out and tearing. Pottery Barn is not standing behind their product and are refusing to repair the tears. The quality is shoddy.

I was looking for a dining room table and was assisted by Jody who is a designer at this location. She set up a whole floor plan for me. However, I had a particular style in mind. We ended up agreeing that Pottery Barn was too casual for what I was looking for. I ended up going with a table from William Sonoma and called her to get her opinion. She was more than happy to give her opinion and happy that I found what I was looking for. But she really knows her stuff so I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to furnish their house!

The problem with watching too many episodes of Friends in a row is the strange compulsion to visit Pottery Barn afterwards to recreate their Warner Brothers props department too cute by half urban kirsch. Everything here is so on trend that my two month old overcoat feels prematurely vintage and ashamed. And what's with the service? In all the years I've been visiting these stores never once have I been approached by anyone vaguely resembling staff. I guess they're too busy sharpening the candelabra made of reindeer antlers to mind their customers. I suspect, Mimes have a right to work. That corduroy couch looks interesting, maybe I'll put it in my denim dining room. Thankfully, the Friends trance has almost faded so I can leave before I'm maxed out on oversized everything. Pottery Barn. I like it. I just don't get it. Four stars.

I like Pottery Barn products, but the stories are kind of useless. They have a very small percentage of the products in the catalog, especially furniture. They only have a couple sofas, and a handful of chairs, but that's a small minority of the furniture they offer in their catalog. How do you order a two or $3,000 chair, sight unseen? Get it and then try to send it back if you don't like it? It doesn't make much sense. I asked if there was another store that had more furniture, but they said that the largest store in Hackensack might have a couple more chairs than they do, which doesn't help at all.

Arrogant staff. Older blonde staff member sneered at my wife as she was looking at the construction of their furniture. Can I help you with a nasty look and prolonged sneer. Do not recommend.

Nasty customer service. We went to the store to pick up an order. I received a confirmation email and text stating my order was ready for pick up. We went to the store and the woman who helped us was unbelievably rude stating they did not have the item and blatantly said she could not help us. I called the store and spoke to the woman and again she was completely rude and kept stating we had to come back between 11am to 6pm. I dont understand why I would get a confirmation email and text stating my item is ready for pick up when it is not. I came to the store two days after and was helped my an older man at the front. I was surprised to hear that I needed an appointment to pick up my item. I told him was what communicated to me when I called and he honestly didnt even care. He was very rude as well. Upon leaving the store, he said your welcome in a sarcastic tone to me. I turned around in shock in how disgusting his behavior was. The customer service at this location is unbelievable. They should really evaluate their staff because this is no way to treat customers. I hate having to write something like this but now that I had to stock associates who were nasty to me I really have no choice. I hope both get fired as I cant imagine how they treat other customers as well.
