I had such a great experience working with the team at Uffizi Moda. I was in search for the perfect dress for one of my wedding events, and that is exactly what I found at this boutique. The entire staff, including Amanda and Rachel, were extremely helpful and welcoming from the very beginning. They not only helped me find the perfect dress but they quickly picked up on my style and guided me to find the perfect accessories as well. They were able to tailor my gown perfectly and made sure I did not leave with the dress until I was completely satisfied with the alterations. I am so happy to have found the right dress that allowed me to feel confident and comfortable. I look forward to coming here for future purchases!

Best of the best! Better than Madison Avenue. Unparalleled customer service. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. Great selection!

Stay away! This store is a rip off. I went in with my cousin and friend to browse. We had heard their prices were high but still wanted to look. We walked in and did not get greeted, in fact no one even came out to ask us if we need help or even say hello. Their prices are so much higher than department stores and online. My question is why would you shop here vs online or a reputable department store!!!!? Do not waste your time.

Uffizi is a luxury experience. It's like entering a designer boutique in Paris. To compare it to any other store in the area would be a mistake bc it's not at all. The experience is completely personal. For years I've had an idea of what I wanted to wear for a special occasion and with help from Susan, Amanda, and Rachel I've been fitted top to shoes in the perfect look. The best part is the perfect tailoring. So many stores neglect to offer that. It's not about them having "your size" it's about making a piece work for you including the perfect shoes, bag, and accessories to match! It's the perfect store for finding great original looks that you'd never find anywhere else and creating a relationship with the staff that lasts forever! They're always there to help and it's constantly original!

Well appointed store with on trend and classic designer pieces. Yes, pricey, but in line with what you would pay for quality designer items at Saks or Neiman Marcus. Store staff friendly and helpful. Effort is made to carry lines that are not readily available at other stores locally (MRZ clothing, Pierre Hardy shoes, Ports 1961 etc.) Space is open and has a nice layout. Definitely worth a visit.

One star is generous... Friend and I went into the store to look for spring clothes after getting mani and pedis next door. My friend is a size 4 and I am a size 10. The store has limited inventory and does not accommodate "extra large" sizes such as a 10. As we walked through the store, not one person greeted, acknowledged or offered to help us. No other customer was in the store at the time. We were given dirty looks, looked up and down as if we did not belong in the store and quickly dismissed. The older sales lady seemed to be disgusted that we were even in the store. We got the impression that we looked too "poor" to shop at the store. When we started to look at clothes on all of the racks, my friend asked about what sizes are currently in inventory. She did not receive an answer to her question. When she asked for a specific size, she received a curt "we do not have your size" as an answer. "Not a - let me check or try this and we can order the size for you" That was generous considering the young lady did not even look at her while replying. All of the brands sold in this store can easily be purchased at Short Hills or in the designer boutique in the city. Do not waste your time. We took our Birkins bags and drove to the Short Hills Mall where we were fully satisfied.

High end clothing with a high end experience. I've been to this store several times and I have always felt like a queen. Sipping a latte and snacking on almond cookies while I dote over gorgeous couture makes me one happy girl. The designer clothing lines the owners bring into the store are extensive and diverse nodding to a very diverse clientele. The clothing ranges from playful nightlife wear to a black tie affair. I drool over the gorgeous knitwear! Often I have seen Susan (the owner) work with clients and I have noted how much care she takes in customizing their experience. I adore the new RLC handbag line and quickly snapped up a square tote to call my own. I have also purchased several shoes over the years that I may love even more than my husband, wink wink.

I ordered a J.Mendel gown at a trunk show at UFFIZI, on February 13, 2012 for my daughters wedding on September 29, 2012. I paid a deposit of half the $4500. It came in in June, and she charged me the balance. I said it looks different, color style. she said I was crazy. I tried it on, she said it just needed to be altered. I didn't see the dress again until The end of August. no alterations had been done. When I went to pick it up September 13th, I started to cry, It didnt fit, it looked terrible on me. She said all mothers of the brides are the same. She also said that her seamstress was going on vacation. I called J.Mendel on Madison Avenue they said to bring it in. They 100% agreed that when the sample went to production they changed the style, this was an edited version for sure, they tried to alter it for me. I wrote Susan Chayon (the owner) and email telling her how unhappy I was. She answered a curt and sarcastic email back, telling me I was impossible. My husband took me to buy another dress. I am now stuck with a $4500 gown I will never wear. She is the most difficult shop keeper I have ever met, miserable woman talks you into things. How she has been in business this long is shocking. Her merchandise I guess sells itself to her circle in Short Hills. The whole experience was so upsetting.

As a follow up to my mother's review, I must say that Susan could be the most unprofessional shop owner I have ever met in my life. She is a liar and takes advantage of all of her clients (which I have seen first hand). The dress my mom ordered and the dress that actually came in were TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DRESSES. Susan swore they weren't, even J.Mendel themselves said they were two different dresses. Susan kept insisting they dress looked fine. EVERYONE who saw the dress on my mom (again including the staff at J. Mendel in NYC) could NOT believe what they were seeing. When my mom first told me that there was an issue with her dress I thought she was just exaggerating. And then she sent me the picture...my heart broke for her, it was 2 weeks before my wedding and my mom had NO dress. My mom, sister, aunt and dad scoured NYC to find a new dress. The wonderful people at YSL found my mom a beautiful dress and had it altered perfectly within 4 days. Susan should be absolutely ASHAMED of herself. She robs her clients blind. That's not the end of it... My mom wrote Susan a private email telling her how disappointed she was in her considering she had been shopping at her store for years. Susan told my mom she was the most difficult person she had ever worked with (funny she never mentioned that the other dozen or so times she swiped my mom's credit card). Her email was rude, condescending and sarcastic. Once I find it I will post both my mom's email and Susan's so everyone can see her true colors. Save yourself the drama and the trouble and DO NOT shop at UFFIZI. Everything in her store can be purchased elsewhere.
