I work for a store and feel the need to write this review due to the terrible experience on Saturday 05/24 around 9pm. Went to the Eatontown location looking for allergy medicine, it is locked so I press the button for help, waited 10 min pressed it again, another 10 min and nothing. Walked to the front and the long hair young lady with nose pierce was taking care of a customer so I told her no rush just help me when done. I go back and wait about 15 min and nothing when I start walking she standing behind a shelf on her phone laughing and I said ‘are you going to open the cabinet so I can buy the pills’. She yells you need to press the button , I said ‘ I pressed it twice’ u never came’ she walked away and came bck with the nastiest attitude to which I told her ‘she needs to be trained as how to work customer service ‘ . As you can read I had a lot of patience and still got treated disrespectful. MNGT please st least make her aware of this review or nothing will change. Thanks.

I had a very disappointing experience trying to pick up a prescription at this location. The drive-thru had only two cars ahead of me, yet it took over 40 minutes. I waited 7–8 minutes after being told, “I’ll be right with you,” with no further communication. During that time, I observed Howard
visibly frustrated—struggling to locate my prescription, assigning tasks to team members, openly complaining about how the day shift left things and about my payment method.
To make matters worse, he repeatedly blamed me for presenting a card that “wasn’t working,” even though I was monitoring the account activity on my phone and knew it was active. I eventually handed over multiple cards out of frustration, only for him to scan the first one again and say, “Oh, this one’s working.” He finally scanned the third card and completed the transaction, but it was clear that all of them would have worked if handled properly.
This was by far the worst customer experience I’ve ever had picking up a prescription. I left feeling dismissed and frustrated—and honestly, I don’t want to return to that store.

Was told my prescription would be ready in 30 min…. Left came back an hour later… they told me it would be another 30 min and unfortunately they had to close down for lunch so they wouldn’t reopen for another hour…. I’ll just tell my B/p to hold off until Monday until i can pick up my script…. Not the first time with this place… UPDATE: came BACK TUESDAY!!!!! five people behind the counter! Script not ready asking if I wanted to wait 15min for the script they said was already filled!!!! This place is trash garbage ! Update #2 the medication that was given a whole other 24 hours…went to pick up today still not ready…i trust these pharmacists like I trust a fart after Taco Bell… when i get my meds finally given to me I’ll take my business to Rite Aid. UPDATE#3- had to send my husband to pick it up, because last i checked CVS does not pay my bills, and the damn script still wasn’t filled. My husband had to leave they gave them same excuse of needing “15minutes” to fill. It’s now been 5 days to fill a diuretic.. not like it’s a narcotic..

The greatest pharmacy staff and extremely kind support I've ever experienced being 38 years old and struggling to survive each day, but when I with CVS EATONTOWN PHARMACIST it is like everything is finally all good! I have seen and been treated like a number on paper all my life but not anymore. I appreciate CVS pharmacy in Eatontown and I think the world should know what it's like to have people who try so hard to make me feel like a person who belongs! It's Amazing and hopefully you can experience it one day in Eatontown Nj at CVS PHARMACY ❤️

The pharmacy at this location is awful. Limited hours and closes for 30m in the middle of day? Stagger lunches if you can’t manage to stay open for the few hours a day you do actually open.

Russell should make employee of the month with all the help he gave me in resolving my problem with the photo album I was making. He sat and helped guide me through the steps to making the perfect photo album, he was both patient and so very courteous.

Gloria and Donna are excellent pharmacists. They helped me to get a prescription that is hard to locate and arranged the timing so that my insurance covered it. I went early in the morning and had no waiting. A great experience. And shout out to Imeera at the Ocean CVS who shifted my prescription to this branch!

Once again, the pharmacy never fails to disappoint. With a few employees excluded, i am going to suggest they let go half of the staff and start fresh with people who understand customer service and that CVS is a retail pharmacy among the plethora of them out here.
But - clearly @CVSHEALTH DOESNT care…
First in line when opening up ( because no one would answer the phone I had to drive there) and I am greeted pleasantly by an associate, and advised theres an issue with my RX. So- i stand aside and i go follow up with the Dr.’s office on the issue, and then hop back on line to check out. As the nice gentle men in line ahead of me completed his purchase, im thinking im next up right?
Errr wrong, why would the person who had been at the pharmacy for 20 mins be next up to assist when someone who was there to drop off or consult just walks up?
So, clearly ignoring the fact ive been in line, the associate (different) walks over to help the individual who just arrived…
In what world of customer service ( outside of crisis) does this work? Answer: it doesn’t.
So of course being from NJ - i politely remind the staff that their actions displayed poor customer service , having been standing right in front of them waiting to be helped .
The response i received “ oh I didn’t see you”…
Listen - no-one likes a liar. Particularly me.
If you dont like your circumstances change them. This is a retail store, meaning their primary focus as a corporation is customer service. If your not happy as an employee speak up- ask for a raise, change departments, quit- either way, stop acting as if customers owe you anything other than the same treatment you give them.
If you choose to be passive aggressive- well then expect that back.
@cvshealth when will you get management in here that builds up their team vs lets them sit with the clear frustration of being under staffed and over worked.
Do better -
Previous review from 2023:
Honestly,
There should be a option for negative or 0 stars. This CVS has been horrible since 2020. I cant speak to the cause of the downfall, but shelves are never stocked, the store is poorly staffed, and the Pharmacy…. Where do i begin.
The Pharmacy is overwhelmed and clearly needs more staff and or a remodel to allow for more help and space. There have been several times rx have been called in , and hours later when going to pick up the rx it is still not filled. Most recent visit, rx was dropped off 3 hours prior. I go to pick it up, and im told they couldn’t fill the item- its on order, and the other was still in a queue. -
Dont waste your time , money, or energy stopping at this location. Go straight to another location or Walgreens a few miles up- much better experience.
