Make sure you have your car inspected on a lift by a certified mechanic before you buy a vehicle from Carmax. I recently bought a truck here. After having the vehicle inspected there was rust and corrosion all over the frame and inside the engine compartment. Carmax did not check all of the fluids as several of them were way overfilled or underfilled. The didnt replace the 5 year old battery or the tires that were half way worn down. The engine air filter and cabin air filter were also not replaced. I returned the vehicle within the 10 day period carmax gives you. Even though I paid the down payment with a debt card they told me I had to wait 7-10 days for them to send me check for the return of my down payment. The local people at Sicklerville Carmax were zero help. It took over a month and probably a dozen calls into Carmax corporate to finally receive my down payment money back. Bad experience all around, would not recommend Carmax after this transaction.

I would never buy a car from this location . I haven’t been able to truly enjoy my new purchase because of breaks and rotor issues from me first purchasing this car in March. It’s STILL NOT FIXED

Car buying experience was pretty good overall. I test drove more than one car and was able to get some things cosmetically fixed on the one I chose that were damaged in getting it shipped to that location. My sales associate was very easy to work with answered my questions. They even reimbursed me for a missing owners manual in less than a week.
Where we went from five stars to three stars is really because of after sales service. I had to get some things fixed on the car. It is under their warranty. I had to make an appointment and arrived early in the morning. When making me appointment over the phone, I stress to the person that I needed loaner car and I had to get to work and could not take a full day off. They said that would not be a problem and they would know what was going on with the car within 15 minutes.
The day I got there for the visit, I was not informed of any change in that at check-in. After I waited for an hour, I asked the status of the loaner, but I was told that they don’t give loaners out unless there is four hours or more of work to be done on the car. My car needed parts ordered and would have to be brought back several weeks later to have the repairs completed. I just wish their policy on loaners was available upfront and that they were consistent.
I’d buy again. It is just a wish that their service dept was up to the caliber of their sales dept.

This was our second car purchased at Car Max. I think being a repeat customer says a lot. We have been very happy wiht our first purchase some years ago, so we're back to buy another car. Our salesman was exptremely helpful in finding us the car that fit our needs. The service department was efficient and a pleasure to deal with. When it comes time to get another car, the first place we'll look will be Car Max. Highly recommended!
