I came in for a simple manicure with regular polish and was pressured nonstop to get dip, gel, chrome, and other “special” services. Even after I said no, the tech still applied gel until I caught it and stopped her. She was clearly frustrated and then rushed through my nails, slapping on four thick coats of regular polish without letting them dry. No fan, just layers so thick they look like bad gel and will never set. When I asked why, she blamed me for choosing regular polish instead of admitting she did a sloppy, intentional job because I refused her upsells. Can’t even get a basic manicure here without being hustled. Go anywhere else.

Great service and prices. I get gel mani and pedi and I am treated nicely. The technicians actually speak to the customers and not just to each other. I am happy customer here

I had a terrible experience with the technician at the last station. I asked for a French manicure and all the widths of white polish on my fingers were completely different. I politely and calmly asked her to fix it and she got a serious bad attitude and said she wouldn't and that I would have to get a solid color. I asked if another technician would be able to do it and she said no and said they were all busy without even asking anyone else. I was trying to speak softly as to not cause a scene but she got very agitated and began speaking about me in another language. All of the technicians just stared and refused to assist in the situation. By the time I realized my manicure was not very neat, the tech had already started my pedicure. She was shaking the whole time and only put one coat on my toes. This was the worse customer service I have ever had in my life!

So, I patronized this nail salon some years ago, but I never returned because I told the woman servicing me that I am allergic to latex. She said ok, but when I closed my eyes to be waxed, she placed both of her hands with latex gloves on my face, of which resulted in an allergic reaction. However, this week, a young lady told me that she's been getting her nails done at Rio for five years and recommended that I try them. I was greeted and serviced immediately. However, the young lady was drilling my natural nail and kept saying, "I didn't do anything." She clearly knew she was doing something because I hadn't verbally responded to the burning of my nails related to her drilling. Then, when she finished my nails, I asked her if she was going to clean up around my nails. She told me they don't do that there. I was shocked. I've never not had my nails cleaned up when having them done. She said it would be an extra $10. I told her that I didn't want a manicure, and that was something I've had done every single time I've had my nails done. I told her that I was not happy with the service and that they should work on their services. Then, she had difficulty with her pricing and receipt. I was so taken aback, but accepted that I'd chosen to return. Needless to say, I will not return ever again.

This place is the best. Staff are friendly. Pleasant atmosphere.. and Annie is the best!! I wouldn’t go any place else now as long as she is here!
