Best bike shop around. Jason and the crew were able to set me up with exactly the bike that I needed. The result is a new level of appreciation for the trail riding that I originally thought couldnt get any better.

Worth the short 14 minute drive to get here from the University. I had a flat tire on my bike and needed it fixed ASAP - Jason took care of it in less than 10 minutes. Super quick and really good work, very nice people as well. I recommend!

These guys are good. I did a lot of research before buying my bike and I was back & forth on a few different models. They had great inventory and encouraged me to ride all different kinds. They had me ride bikes I wasn't even considering purchasing just for the fun of it! (I'm not quite at full carbon & electronic shifters but they wanted me to experience it). Jason had me take out his personal bike as well. Very cool experience. I'm looking forward to getting back there.

I went to the right place for buying cycling shoes! Don gave me a complete education about the importance of getting the right shoes, and it was clear that he had a lot of experience and knowledge with fitting people. He also taught me how to get on and off the bike with my new clip-in shoes in the parking lot, which was really nice of him. Halter's has an impressive selection of shoes to choose from. Don then did a bike fitting with me a week later, and I feel so much better positioned on the bike now! Really great customer service. Highly recommend.

J - thank you for everything you do. I've been buying bikes from you for over 25 years and they have gotten increasingly more complicated. You rock and everyone that I talk with looking for a bike or repair - you are the only words that ever come out of my mouth. I think I have connected everything - we'll see later.
Thanks for the loaner to see what I was missing. I feel young and quick again and won't hold you responsible for any of my poor decisions on this bike - it is awesome and appreciate you for never trying to upsell or pressure me or anyone in your store to purchase this or that. You are a king among men and sadly not something I commonly experience with other service professionals so if you want to do a masterclass - I can be your hype guy. Thank your guys in the shop for me too. You've got a great bike store and folks you work with. It's great to see people doing what they love for a living. Maybe you can hire me to be a stock boy!!!
Looking forward to many miles on this bike and the windier the better - when you hear about some daft old badger riding around Cranbury, Plainsboro, East Windsor, Hightstown, Allentown, Millstone laughing and giving the wind the finger just laugh knowing it's me!!!

Excellent experience! Kyle and Jason were fantastic to deal with. Incredible knowledge and patience. i tested 6 bikes and Jason was able to articulate the pros and cons of each and help me pick the perfect bike.
Definitely worth the 1 hr 45 min ride. Would recommend this shop to anyone.

Initially, I just came in just to check out some aerobars but, after talking with Don, decided that this was a worthy place to get a bike fitting. Staff was friendly and helpful; no judgement for my many simple questions or lack of lube on my chain (maybe an appropriate amount of judgement for the chain). They just care about getting me ready to hit the towpath.. which I will now go do! Thanks to the team

Found this place after I was looking for some new shoes. It was suggested that I set up a shoe fit since I had a few questions about my shoe and bike fit.
I’ll say this, working with Dan (please forgive me if I am misremembering your name), I know more about the why behind my bike fit than ever before. I also learned why I was having weird pains and niggles. Needless to say, do not go anywhere else if you give a damn about how you fit on your bike. I’ve been elsewhere, and never have I felt this comfortable on my bike.
I am much more aero than I thought I could ever be. My hands don’t hurt anymore when riding long distances (see 140mm stem). Instant improvement and worth every penny. That said, it isn’t cheap but in my humble opinion, you will not regret anything.
I have a few more tweaks to make now that I know what I should be looking for so will make another visit. This is a process, learned that too. It’s good being told here is a bike that best fits your body rather than being sold a bike because it’s in the shop.
100% recommend.

Want to update my review. After contacting the owner and talking about my concerns, Halter’s has been so helpful and accommodating assisting me in updating my parts. Also want to add what a wonderful assortment of bicycles, from road and gravel, mountain to E-bike, they really have it covered with a knowledgeable staff to help you in anyway. Look a place that has a rearing Unicorn vomiting up a rainbow as its mascot cant be half bad, right. I thank them for all their help in getting everything straightened out, here’s to many more good miles under two wheels!

Entire staff at Halters was extremely courteous and professional before during and after the transaction! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any bicycle needs!
This is my third Canondale, and I’m excited to enter the 21st-century of cycling technology!

There aren’t that many small businesses that cater to customer service while prioritizing and focusing on Community. Halters Cycles is one of those rare businesses. Not only does Halters sell and service amazing bikes, they are key in creating places for people to ride them. Halter’s is putting their profits into building trails at Six Mile Run and Stevenson SP. They’re physically doing the work there! Not only do they give thousands of hours back by building trails, they are a primary sponsor and supporter of NJ NICA, a youth development cycling program in New Jersey. They also sponsor local cycling groups and support the riders and volunteers state wide. They’ve proven that a small business can do more than just great business. We need more bike shops like Halters in our lives. Thank you Jason and crew!
