I’ve been following my taxes with H&R Block for the past 45 years since I’ve been 16 years old never had an issue before used to go to the Greenbrook location after Haven passed away did my taxes for years went to the Somerville location apparently my tax return was filed already when it was never filed. I do work hours to where I can’t go there during certain times I go there today on my day off the two old guys that were working there were really rude arrogant. We’re not listening to what I was saying I got a letter from the IRS stating that it was already filed. They had no clue on what the hell they were doing. It’s really unprofessional and really stressful that I have to sit here and deal with this and they have incompetent people they don’t know how to do stuff over there so now I have to And I can Go back there now to resolve this matter so that way I get my money completely unprofessional and horrible people there they don’t give a shit about what’s going on and you acting like they’re stupid and don’t know what to do or don’t wanna be bothered. I’m definitely gonna figure this out and I’m not using H&R Block ever again never ever in 45 years if I had this happen or dealt with this incompetency and arrogancy so where they don’t give a flying F about anything. Once again, I went to this location and dropped off my taxes. I am I’ve been waiting since February 10 for someone to get back to me. I’ve called and it was handed off to Paul. Paul continues to not return my phone calls. I’ve had multiple appointments cause I’m at a Philly location in my store for my job. I’m unable to go down there requested like seven phone calls since I’ve dropped them off February 10 still no one has given me a call. I had a call yesterday at 8 o’clock. Paula never called me you continue to send emails like I don’t check my emails like that you’re the tax professional you should be giving me a call. This is clearly a horrible company ever since Haven passed away. I never had an issue with my taxes at H&R Block last year I had an issue this year. I’m having an issue the year before I had an issue completely unprofessional. This is the last year I’m using HR. I feel like I have to chase these people to get a contact and everything and the lady at the front desk is rude as well to

I will never ever use them again. Used once, they told me we owed $26,000 in taxes. I said it all seemed very wrong, I knew we were going to g to owe but that seemed outrageous. We went somewhere else, we only owned $6300. $20k difference?? Yeah never again.

Most of the negative reviews here seem to be from people who think H&R has some nerve for charging them. Pretty sure you can file for free or use an online service for next-to-free. H&R has always struck me as being worth every penny. Jodi in the Somerville office is outstanding.

I have filed a tax return each year for over 15 years and most of the time I allowed HR Block to do it for me because it was quick, easy and affordable. I understand inflation..........however, I have NEVER paid over $100 to have my taxes filed by someone. Yet this year they tried to charge me $400?!?! you guys are out of your minds. It is only my son and I. there is no reason I should pay $400 for you to input a few numbers in the computer.

Epic failure I’ve used HR Block for years . The return gets smaller and smaller every year and I pay them more and more. This time is the last time associate didn’t hear me even the previous year I applied for the advance of my return and got it. Magically this year my tax pro didn’t hear me tell them I wanted to do the same thing as last year and get the advance. Nope tax pro put it through then had to reopen it to try for the advance and it got rejected. So basically there’s no point in my using them cuz all this did was charge me 350.00$ for a lousy 900 that will now take weeks even months to get. Thank you for nothing as to the steps you took and the poor reasoning you gave for my returns 2nd part which wasn’t suppose to exist at all. Flat out HR block is ripping every single person off they deal with. The fact is do your taxes yourself you will get more and faster not dealing with them.
