While I do not bank here, I live above the bank and this review is of the rude and miserable employees only, specifically the young women who drives the white Jeep and chain smokes in the back just under our windows. In response to a very casual "do you mind not smoking outside of our window?" the response was "You can close your window!". LOL...bless your heart and have a nice day. I hope things get better for you:)

We have been with Provident/Team Capital for decades now. Each and every encounter has been pleasant and professional.

Sheer and utter incompetence, it's actually surprising this institution is still operating. They keep making incorrect deposits(on one occasion they have deposited another person's money in my account, mind boggling), incorrectly calculating escrow balances, constantly sending letters of errors requesting deposits back due to their mistakes etc. I have never dealt with a bank like this. Stay away from Provident bank!!! Their conduct should probably be reported to the consumer affairs. I give them one star for automatically cancelling an inactive account after 45 days which I was going to do anyway, however, it is surprising they will just close it without any communication. You've been warned.

I learned of a new definition of "Small Town Bank" today when I was denied the ability to take $2,500 out of the bank. I was told they have a $1,000 limit, which is something that people should be made aware of if they are to bank there! I normally advocate for small business/banks - but not if they're going to hold your money hostage! Note: Local P*C Bank has a ATM that dispenses $800/transaction so atleast I could get my money today! Absolutely Shameful. The worst part was the [lacking] customer service who scoffed at me because I should have known better, trying to take out so much at a time.. I didn't know what to say, I was confused as to how they could actually believe that it's a reasonable policy to cap at such a low amount!

I wish I had a better experience at this bank. Maybe the employees were having a bad day, I do not know. The hours were posted that they open at 8am. I arrived a few minutes after 8 and they were clearly not ready to handle customers. I had a business check I wanted to cash written on an account from this bank. (Note - I did not know you cannot cash a business check - at least at this financial institution). The first employee asked if he could help me and I let him know I wanted to cash a check - he took it from me, looked at it and said, "This is a business check." I replied, "Yes, I know." He looked at me and asked in disbelief, "This is *your* business?" and I responded, "Yes it is." Mind you, I had all the necessary paperwork showing the legality of the company, that I was an officer, etc. He handed the check to another woman who looked at the check, looked at me and rudely said, "We can't cash a business check" as if I was crazy trying to do such a thing. I explained that I wanted to ensure that funds were available in the account and in an uppish tone she said, "We can't tell you that!" I asked, "you can't tell me because you are unable to check the balance on the account?" To which she, "We cannot give out personal information like that'," again in a very condescending tone. Like I started out with, maybe they were having a bad start to the day or something - i do not know. But I would never open an account at this bank after being treated like this.
