I applied twice for a job with them. They asked me many probing questions, but I was not even sent a thank you rejection letter. Also, I'm quite sure I was passed up for the other job because they wanted a college student for that role.

Attending this school has been fine for me other than dealing with the staff for issues regarding my account! They either put you on hold or the call goes out halfway through you trying to reach them. And when I finally did get a staff member to help me they just directed me to an office that wouldn't even answer there phone call! My loan has been approved on my end but RVCC hasn't even gotten back to me about the disbursement since last semester. Now I'm in a predicament where the last class I need to graduate, I can't even register for because the school has a hold on my account and won't processes my loan. I had to pay everything out of pocket just to have a chance of getting the one class I need to graduate. The staff at RVCC is horrible at dealing with their students and it makes me think do they even want us to succeed? I would recommend if you are thinking of attending this college if you ever have issues with your account, you go see them in person because they will actually give you them time of day then. I'm throughly frustrated and don't have much trust in this college anymore.

I think staff could be more active and professional. I've had a particular issue for weeks and my emails have been constantly ignored, or redirected to another department which ends up not being the correct one. Management is disorganized and employees lack any basic communication skills. This college is a fraud that does not care about their students or resolving their issues and simply wants money pumped into the school.

Esthetics programs ! 6 months full time and now even shorter at 4 months ! So thankful for the support team and instructors in the beauty program! Passed my state licensing with a 95% because of the knowledge I had received on first try ! 10/10 recommend to any one looking for a future in the beauty industry !

Esthetics program. This program was great in the beginning of the year, then the head of the Department retired and the teacher for the esthetics program took over midway through the year. The woman they hired to replace her is not an esthetician and has never worked in esthetics, she is a cosmetologist, but she knows very little about skin care and can not answer questions or really teach anything. Beerless pong is a routine activity. This program started out great but now not sure we will know enough to pass the state licensing board. We are paying close to 8k for 6 months of this so it really sucks. I wish they had replaced Mrs. Layton with someone who knew about esthetics OR that Mrs. Layton waited until this session was over in February to take on the new position.

Nursing program is a scam Stay away Go anywhere else The school actually brags how many students fail In reality they just dont teach the students well in the second year. They dont prepare them for the final exam at all. Then they get you to sihn up foe a course in the summer and then start the qhole second year again.. So basically it's a 3 year program Total acam

I used to go here as a student. I enjoyed my time here and took many interesting courses. I really like the college, but for some reason I am never able to get a job here. I've applied for many positions for the college and for some reason nobody ever calls me for an interview. I think their human resource team or management is terrible with communication and they are very slow moving. I say if you're looking for an education, this is a good college to go to but if you're trying to get a job here, forget it. Getting a job here is next to impossible with the board and management that they have.

My friend and our two boys went to the Planetarium last Saturday. Would highly recommend a reservation because they only seat 100 and when we walked in 75 seats were filled. By the time the show started all 100 were. Inexpensive-$8.00 each. The show lasted 40 minutes and was very cute. Maybe a little too educational at times for the age group but overall easy to follow. Only thing to note is if you leave the show you cannot re-enter so use the bathroom way ahead of time! Great snow or rainy day activity. We will definitely go back!

RVCC had a special program for the day of eclipse, August 21, 2017. There were lots of people in attendance. Among other things, there was a live hook-up to the NASA feed.

When you do not really want to go too far, RVCC Planetarium is quite a place close by. It runs few of the good events along with a Art Theatre and performances by visitors. It is not too expensive, making it a good place to visit over a slow weekend. Some shows are certainly better than others. I enjoyed musical nights more than just educational.

We went to a 45 minute show that taught you about the night sky at this time of year. They show the constellations and planets that are commonly visible right now. Very educational. After the show the outdoor telescope was available to see some stars. If you go, save your tickets stubs for next time as they count as $1.00 off the price of your next admission.
