Had a very disappointing experience with Hercules. After Ali Amin, the salesman who sold us the job, visited our home and assured us that all contents of the home would fit into the 26 foot truck for our out of state move, on the day of the move it wouldn't fit. Even that day itself he and the foreman kept insisting "it will all fit". At 3pm when i could clearly see the challenge that it wouldn't fit, he finally agreed n said, "well it won't fit" and that they didn't have a solution to offer.I had to on my own find a UHaul that i rented and had to drive that myself to Boston. And the strange thing is that even the medium sized UHaul was pretty much full. We had also paid for packing and unpacking services and after unloading the foreman threw a fit when i told him there was unpacking to do swearing that never in his several years of working as a mover had he unpacked! After a heated phone call with his supervisor, he and the crew grumpily did the unpacking but just to get it done, and carelessly. We had to ask them to leave without having unpacked 6 boxes that still had to be opened. Further, this crew had no clue how to pack and as a result there was breakage - a set of candle stands, coffee cups, and other China did survive. So watch out, and engage at your own risk

They asked me if I would be interested in help moving. I quoted $75/hr (a rate I found on Uhaul's app) & they laughed & made fun of my offer instead of politely declining.

Our tv was broken by Hercules during our move. We were told to submit a claim through their insurance company. We submitted the claim and after 9 months of back and forth emails, calls and filling out repetitive forms, our claim was approved. We even had to get the final approval signed and notarized. At this point we were told Hercules is now responsible for sending us a check.We called Hercules to follow up. They told me they are no longer called Hercules but NJ Movers and said they can see what they can do about the payment. I asked if they had my phone number on file and they responded "no". It was apparent They had no intent to follow up with me but it was an effort to waive me off. I called back a week later to follow up and they answered the phone, "hello Hercules movers". I asked about the check and was told again they are no longer Hercules but can see what they can do. I call again. I asked about the check and the receptionist began to yell at me and told me that I "don't understand how companies work and that they don't have business right now because the housing market is slow to pay us our claim". The call was unprofessional and rude.I'd recommend avoiding this company and stress. They do not take care of their employees. The workers who helped us move were very kind. The owners/management are unprofessional. Their insurance company is not a real insurance company. They only process your claim. It's an effort to slow you down so you eventually give up.

AWFUL manners, incredibly disrespectful. If don’t mind spit yelling, being chased away and held hostage for your furniture, this is the place for it. They have no professional book keeping, have no idea what you have with them. Also no guarantee every piece will come back to you and if it does if it will be in good condition. TVS, patio furniture, vintage clothing- all missing with 0 accountability.

Eil quoted a price of $750 and when the movers showed up the price was increased. The lead of the three movers argued with me, called Eli, and then I received more grief about what was to be charged even though there was an email listing the full cost. Box spring frame for mattress was placed upside down and I had to pull the entire bed apart and correctly reassemble. Not sure I would recommend.

Horrible company. They promise you everything and deliver nothing. They keep your money and don’t do anything just search them online and see how many other people were ripped off and stolen from. Never got their property and zero concern from the company. Not to be trusted, scammers, liars and thieves.

Think twice before you commit to this company for a move! They arrived on time but rushed through everything! There was not much furniture to move only one bedroom and two TVs and a TV stand and some patio furniture. I had color-coded all the boxes so they would know where to put the boxes when they got to the new home. I also showed him what things were not supposed to go into the truck. They bought the things that were not supposed to go into the truck and left many things at the address that were supposed to go on the truck. I paid $15 for a TV box because I did not have one they were going to put my TV in the truck without putting it in a box. I instructed them that I was paying $15 for a box but I had my own box, since my daughter bought a TV and I used her box I asked them to please put the TV in the box and put it in the truck that way when they got to the new home and unloaded everything I was not there my husband was he went to tip them and the guy in charge was offended by how much he was going to tip them and asked if he could tip us any more than that there’s three other guys here who says anything like that they’re getting paid to do their job a tip is something extra that someone wants to pay if they want to pay They don’t have to give a tip very rude. I did call the next day and spoke to the girl in charge. Let her know what happened and she also told me that she was going to send me a check for $15 because we did not use their box that was on October 19. Today is November 10 and I still have not received the check. I called today and spoke to the girl. She told me the check went out in the mail. I told her I never received it she said that when she got to the office she would call me. It’s now 3:56 They close at five. I have not received a call. I called the office back. No one answers this is obvious avoidance from the girl in the office. It’s not about the $15. It’s about doing the right thing for customers. Obviously this company does not want to do the right thing run. Don’t walk from this company and find another mover. That’s more reliable.

Very unhappy with move. Was quoted $1200 and ended up paying $1900. Movers were suppose to arrive between 9-10 AM. They arrived at 12:00PM. They two hour delayed caused the truck to get stuck in traffic. Move lasted from 12-9:30PM. Called to discuss problem, representative said she would discuss with manager and never called back. It should not have taken 2.5 hours to travel from Asbury Park to Cranford. Movers worked hard, but the job should not have taken 9 1/2 hours with travel time. Very unhappy with price, being two hours late, and no response to price adjustment.

Amazing movers!We literally needed a mover last minute after firing another shady company and we’re blessed to find Hercules. Luis, Claudio and Sul did an amazing job and were kind, courteous, professional and efficient! 10/10 recommend. Great prices and fast ?!!! ?

The worst experience ever. My stuff was in their storage for 9 months as I was in the process of moving to another state. Each month I paid $300 for it. When it was finally delivered to my new home, we received a big mess. An expensive coffee table was in shambles and so were other items, such as numerous dishes, china, souvenirs, picture frames. The sofa was delivered only on the second attempt. 4 boxes including various items such as tools, very important personal items, all custom jewelry that was packed in there were lost and never were recovered. The piano bench was never received either. I made many phone calls, submitted photos of broken items, but to no avail. It gave us such a mental stress that is still lingering. We also had to give a delivery person (who finally brought a missing leather sofa bed) an extra tip to help us get rid of the heavy broken coffee table and other broken pieces. We submitted a claim to their insurance company which pays basically nothing, but whatever is missing and broken will never be recovered.

I used Hercules movers for my move recently and couldn’t be more satisfied. I was very anxious about my move but the movers were very quick, professional and moved all of my things from a second floor walk up apartment to another second floor walk up apartment with no issue. They even accommodated a stop to drop items off at another location and handled that with ease! I definitely recommend, I am very pleased with these movers and would use again if needed!

On time, competitive price, easy and seamless inter-state move. Second time using Hercules and plan on using them for all subsequent moves.

They did a great job moving my items to a second floor apartment with no elevator in the heat. Very fast, efficient, and great attitude. Would definitely use them again.
