I was profiled by a middle-aged Caucasian woman who aggressively reached out, saying, " Did you pay for that? Give it to me, " demanding the what I was holding before I even crossed the line at checkout, as if i was leaving without paying. It was a very embarrassing experience. I had to ask to speak with the manager (an Arabic young woman), but the best she could tell me was that her employee is a nice person. People shouldn't be subjectively selected and treated like that.

I usually order online and pick up in the pick-up box they text you when it's ready if you don't have time to run into the store this works great.

The experience is truly mind boggling1. Ordered toilet on Internet for curbside pickup. Immediately available, also promised free delivery the next day.2. Didn't want the wax seal (toilet comes with it) but couldn't remove it from the order. Tried deleting two times3. Delivery charge for $55 came up.4. Chose curbside pickup, same day, because didn't want to pay delivery charge5. Order came in with curbside pickup on toilet, delivery on wax seal6. Shipping information came up saying toilet will be shipped 15 days after7. Wanted to cancel the order (same day). Was refused to cancel.8. The order details shown here. Store refused to honor it.I think home Depot is cheating people for cash flow numbers.Not sure if I can complain to better business bureau ?

If have your own business and you are in a hurry. They are sure to have the isle blocked off you NEED to get into while restocking things that should have been restocked before the doors opened in the morning for business.WAY, WAY, WAY too often they have isles blocked off while restocking items that should have been restocked BEFORE open for business hours.An over reliance on self checkouts. We had the most horrific experience today! Bought a primed door and paint for the same. After applying the first coat of paint we realized something was not right. Took the paint back to HD & the associate said we were given the wrong product. She also added that if we painted over this product, the door would start peeling. at this point I requested them to exchange the door along with the paint since the HD employee gave us the wrong product. Felicia was the one who gave us the wrong paint. After requesting her to exchange the door, she said "I never gave you this paint". The associate manager (Kim) came out of no where, accused us of lying, and after we said we weren't lying and that she can look at the camera, she got pretty loud and yelled "I'm going to have to ask you to leave the store. I'm not replacing the door for you. Either you take the paint, or just leave and you don't get the paint either" we told her we were not lying and that she can check the cameras and she started yelling louder and went "you need to leave the store". To save us the embarrassment, we decided to just take the paint and not escalate the matter. She went "you need need to sand your door before you apply the paint" and walked out of there. Now we are looking at sanding both sides of a 6 panel door manually before we can paint and complete our door that would've otherwise been a 2 hour project.Kim was extremely rude and disrespectful towards us.I have never felt so frightened at a store before and because of the way Kim spoke to us, we will never again step into that store again. Kim does not deserve to be at a manager position and should go through rigid training on how to treat a customer.

I'm not much of a Big Box home improvement guy since I often find myself completely lost in their retailing hedgerows between the finishing nails and the smart home refrigerators that argue with you over expiration dates. Not in Monmouth Junction. Hidden behind the massive CarMax... Karl Marx used car dealership is a very navigable Home Depot. Apparently out of sight and out of mind this store is never overrun with DIY refugees and as such, sales assistance is far more accessible than their megamall stores. What probably keeps them going are the thicket of contractors which line the parking lot who no doubt appreciate the quick in and out. I debated keeping this one to myself but in the spirit of holiday giving, enjoy. Five easy stars.
