The bank staff is helpful except the Manager. We have bad experience for the notary service. We went there for getting one document notarized, she showed us rules and asked us to come again with specific typing (not hand written) at the bottom. We are like regular customers, and not expert in arguing regarding law or rules for such simple notary work. It was not a will or something complicated documents. It was just a simple declaration in front of Notary. All supporting documents were with us, but she showed us the rules and denied to notary. We went to nearby bank where we have already account there, too. The Manager welcomed, and notarized the documents in 10 minutes. So simple work but the Magyar bank made so hard. I called the Manager of Magyar Bank again after notarized the documents, and explained how it was easy to get it done with other Bank. We are regular customers and you made the simple work so hard for us. Bad experience..

Nasty manager to say the least. My mother has been a loyal customer for over 40 years at this particular location. Many of the lovely staff members have since retired and the place is now managed by a rude older women with zero kindness within her. My mother asked me to drive her the 45 minute from my home in Hamilton two while she was staying with us this week from NY to do her banking here. She has always loved this bank and all the lovely women who used to work there. When we arrived, my three year old son truly needed to use the bathroom after such a long trip and we have always known this branch to be welcoming, serving coffee, water and even cookies in the lobby, restroom too. We were met with a large door sign stating “no public restroom”(which was new) a large lock and employees only sign on the bathroom door (also new) but since we were customers we asked the rude manager for access to the restroom. However the rude manager that had zero regard for my son who was expressing loudly that he needed to “go potty”simply stated “the door is locked” as if she was not the key holder and had the absolute authority to make such an exception.Tasty Sub right across the street has more class and kindness than this woman and graciously allowed my son to use their restroom without so much as asking us to purchase a bag of chips after my mother stood in line and completed her transaction. I will never understand why my mother continues to do her banking at such a rude and unwelcoming establishment.

I have been with Magyar Bank off and on for over 50 year and I can say it is a very good bank. I have no problem no trouble good customer service. They treat you like family. That's a good thing.

Stay away from this bank. they are big liars. This is the worst customer service bank I have seen in my entire life. They charge overdraft fee for smallest to biggest things. I made mistake opening checking account with them. Bank Manager over here would do lots of promotions but when it comes to customer service , I would give them zero.

Friendly and courteous staff. Good customer service. If banking hours could have been more flexible like TD bank... It's a 5 star bank!!!!!!
