Walked into the USPS office in Hackensack and no one was at the window to help. The gentleman ahead of me said he had already been waiting 10 minutes, and several employees passed by only to say “someone will be with you.” Apparently, the one person working the window was on break — but no one seemed to care enough to cover for her. Completely unprofessional and frustrating experience.

Horrible customer service. The young girl at window is rude, disrespectful and clearly doesn’t want to be there. She not only refused to help me with a change of address stating she didn’t know how and I should come back when the other worker returns in hour, when asked a few questions about the address change she took the next customer, making that person uncomfortable and was dismissive, completely ignoring me, but the customer before me, an elderly man hard of hearing, I watched in disgust as she was so mean and disrespectful to a this man, refusing to help him as well because’he was asking to many questions’ she has absolutely no Patience and then was making mimicking him as he was speaking, he didn’t even realize what she was actually doing in front of people. She should be fired!

This is the worst location mail service 3 times already they have still delivered even though there is hold mail request there is no actual phone number to speak to somebody the carriers are great if you can actually tell them to stop delivering for the certain times and dates but we're not able to see them all the time also this post office has lost packages at South Hackensack Post Office bunch of times that I could never find again. Very disappointing can't depend on the service at all especially when we are far from home.

Definitely the worst post office of all time. Constantly problems Only one worker at the counter. ( Not her fault , she is very pleasant under the circumstances she faces every day )

Came here to pick up my mail but its confirmed to be at different location by staff (tracking 70172620000007286477) Why did it mention this location to pick up then? Now I wasted my work time and also Usps time to redeliver my package.
Also, the staff had to ask me for tracking number so she can write down in notepad, its 2024. Do you know how many freakin zeroes are on the tracking? Even the staff was confused lol) Why do I the customer have to tell the employee the long number when you guys can implement barcode system in email? Im upset not at the staff I guess but at the system/process that so much time was wasted for a single letter that I missed.
Also there was only one staff that appeared a little tired also. No wonder because there were like 3-5 people in front and behind me. Give her a break geez.

Absolute joke among the postal service. The manager is a careless rude immature representation of his workers. He won’t correct them and basically says “don’t know what to tell you”. My mail went missing for 6 months. He didn’t care. I had so many problems I had to call the post master to complain. This manager told me it’s lost at the other facility and not his problem. NOW my regular mail man mike whom was great is gone and they have some woman more worried about her hair than my mail. She treads all over my lawn. Walking into my bird feeders knocking things down. STAY ON THE SIDE WALK AND WALK WAY who the heck is she to destroy our Newley done property?! AND the mail states FWD forward on it from the last tenants but she delivers it here anyway. I had to write on it and send it back multiple times. Now she purposely stuffs all my mail into the neighbors. I’m filming it all and she will be having charges pressed on her for what she’s doing to my property and mail. When is someone going to clean this place up!?!!

The automated system is unreliable. My package tracking clearly says it's being held at the South Hackensack post office (I don't know why, because I don't live there) but the automated system cannot find it. When I ask to speak to an agent, it put me on a 40-minute wait and into the close of business hours. There's no reliable way to check if my package is there for me to pick up.

I’ve had a terrible experience with the post office on Huyler street and from the looks of the other reviews this is a common thing here …at what point will anyone do anything about it ? Don’t play with peoples mail or personal packages it isn’t right …but if someone went in there and smacked everyone they would be wrong ??

This is the worst USPS I've ever been at.
Employees are rude, especially Heather. She always has an attitude and is extremely impolite.
I've visited this place 5 times, and I've dealt with her 4 of them.
She has been using her phone and earphones, having a call about her personal life while she is "working."
Sometimes, the time that I've had to wait for them is crazy! One of them is always saying "this lane is closed, I'm leaving home" when the other person is in the back and we have been 7 customers waiting to be attended.
I've wasted up to 40 minutes just to scan a package. It's unbelievable!

I had no problems there they were polite and courteous 100% better than my local post office
