“Nice place, paint is somewhat expensive, but it is worth it, they can make a paint of color you need. Large enough parking. When I was given a wrong (too gloss) paint by mistake, nice salesman Joe did replace it without problem next week.”
“We’ve used Paper Chase for paint, window treatments and floor coverings and couldn’t be more pleased! Knowledgeable and helpful staff that go above and beyond.”
“Edison Millwork & Hardware is one of those local places where the staff actually takes the time to help you find the right solution. Great selection, honest advice, and the kind of service that keeps you coming back.”
“This place is a lifesaver for at home fixes. I have come many times with photos of what I need repaired, and they show me exactly what products I need to fix it. They are helpful, honest, open early and a great asset to the Warren and surrounding community.”
“Frank and John are extremely helpful! They are very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Both of them are very kind and professional. I am buying all my paint from them”
“We went in there twice over the last two days to buy paint and supplies for our daughter and SIL’s new house. We had such a great experience each time! We live in Cranford and can’t believe we didn’t know this place was here. The staff: Cindy, Harry and Roger were all so helpful and just so easy to work with. This place is now our go-to for any hardware needs. Highly recommend!”
“Great place and much faster than running all the way to Home Depot. Saves me so much time where I just need a few parts to complete whatever it is that I am working on.”
“Good service, management was excellent with helping me and find the right color for my specific project. They were quick and easy to get it done and get me on my way.”
“I’ve been going to Newark Paint for years, and they have consistently been an incredible help with their advice, experience, and knowledge. Everyone there is always friendly, helpful, and their prices are very competitive. What really sets them apart is their expertise. They truly know their products and take the time to guide you in the right direction, whether it’s paint selection, supplies, or problem-solving during a project. They’re also a long-standing local small business, and it’s great to support a company that has built such a strong reputation in the community over the years. We’re currently doing a major addition on our home, and there was never any question where we’d be buying our paint and supplies — Newark Paint all the way. Highly recommend!”
“We had originally looked at another company and then I contacted Tristan from Breslow who walked me through a whole zoom presentation and a full mockup of what the pergola would look like. We decided to go with Breslow over other companies due to service after the buildout, customer service and reliability. Lastly and most important track record and who has used them in our area before. Nelson was their lead project on site manager who made sure the job ran smoothly. The job was efficiently done. Nelson led the team of guys. There were minor hiccups but all was resolved with constant communication. The pergola looks fabulous but the customer service from Breslow is superb!!! Nelson is truly a man of his word and truly drove this project in the right direction! A big thank you to the team.”
“Creat place and pleasant service, very knowledgeable, and the best line of products do to professional work, hope their business stays around, is about the only place i know of this nature”
“My neighbor recommended ABBE Lumber to us, and I'm glad he did. I've had great experiences with them, especially working with Giuseppe (Joe). He had patience while helping us design our deck, and he sold all of the necessary materials to us (including some we didn't know that we needed - thus saving us from having to come back again). He knows what he is talking about and gave us some very good tips to ensure a successful installation. Over the past year we have had four deliveries from them, and the drivers were friendly and courteous, unloading materials to exactly where we wanted them. A couple times, a forklift was used to put Trex decking right into our garage. I've called and emailed a few times, and Joe always responded quickly and was very helpful. I've returned a few things that I bought too much of, and had no issues at all with the returns. If you are looking for Trex decking, check their prices. They are the least expensive around. Compare them to Home Depot and Lowes and you'll see what I mean. They were also lower than other lumber yards that I compared them to. Their showroom has a nice display of decks, railings, and lights to help you decide what to buy, plus all of the necessary hardware. And of course they have all the lumber that you will need to complete your project.”
“Excellent service. Reasonable price. I bought a 5 gallon bucket of color paint and I was in and out in under ten minutes. Given the level of service and the price, this will be the only place I will be buying paint from.”
“I returned almost 9 years later to seek out paint for another renovation renovation project. I was assisted both visits with courtesy and patience. Cameron was able to assist with providing the best finishes and narrowing down my color pallet. He even went above and provided how much paint to order for my contractor. Would highly recommend as it took a lot of the guess work out by showing him the blueprint of my home.”
“I'm glad I used Google to find this location. My husband only want to use Benjamin Moore paint and this location has the paint and all the extras that you will need. I parked in the front but there is even more parking spaces in the back. The staff was friendly. The lady that helped me did everything from getting the paint, ringing me up and even brought the two 5 gallons of paint directly to the car and placed them inside ?. She lifted the gallons up effortlessly. When I got home I thought I could do the same thing. No! My neighbors Ring camera probably recorded my struggle. ? I will let the contractor remove the remaining gallon from the car.”
“I guess a few years ago they changed the formula for their pigments, and last year I came here and bought the paint that a lot of my house was done in, but it didn’t match at all. I didn’t use it, and brought it back almost a year later, along with a sample of my existing paint, and they matched it most excellently without any additional charge. The woman who helped me was extremely nice, and definitely earned my return business. Thanks for your help. It’s a near perfect match.”
“We love all of the products we received from Focal Point for our renovation. A year after install - our rechargeable lighted mirror wouldn't charge and Lauren at Focal Point worked with us and the manufacturer to get us a replacement under the warranty. Great products and service!”
“I went into the Springfield Store, and the gentleman (Justin) who was at the front desk, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very nice! This is the reason people are loyal to certain stores, due to the "Good Service" you receive. Which is rare nowadays! Will definitely be back soon!”
“I recently visited the Sherwin-Williams in Stirling and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to help me navigate their extensive color palette to find the perfect shades for my project. The paint quality is exactly what you’d expect from a premium brand—excellent coverage and a beautiful finish that truly transforms a room. Whether you are a professional contractor or a DIYer, this location is a great resource. Highly recommended for anyone looking for expert advice and high-quality materials!”
“John is amazing. He won’t help you pick a color but he does help with best product choices, best quality vs pricing and seems genuinely interested in my project. The quality of paint is better than Lowe’s and Home Depot. The store is clean and stocked. If you need paint, go see John.”
“My garden tools and knives are better than new after bringing them here for sharpening. They were done quickly and expertly. I'm so grateful to have found a place for all the supplies and tools for home improvement.”
“I have visited this store on several occasions. The product is quality, and the service is excellent. An experienced, female DIY-er, I am always willing to learn but don't want to be talked-down-to. The workers at this store strike that balance. Last week, in particular, I received great customer service from a young man at the store. He was professional and personable-- hard to find today. I will return to this store.”
““I had an amazing experience thanks to Jeager Lumber and Luis Rodríguez, who invited us to an excellent dinner and an exciting hockey game. It was a very enjoyable evening, filled with great company and generosity. Thank you so much for making this experience so special!”
“Best paint i have ever used. Painted my entire exterior aluminum siding on home with paint and two brushes bought at sherwin Williams. Painting kitchen cabinets now. I made a big mistake painting interior with behr. Never again. Sherwin paint is far superior. I which I had known sooner. They also have sales all year round unlike home depot.”
“Walked in there knowing exactly what I wanted and paint was mixed and good to go in minutes. Mike Burdette offered advice but did not push, which I really appreciate and was unlike most paint store employees. When I came back with a tinted paint in a sheen I ultimately decided against (not open), and decided on a different one, he made up the new one and helped me out, even though it was clearly my fault. Will definitely be back.”
“As a new business, getting all the help we can is a blessing at times. This store has been nothing but accommodating and patient with any questions and orders we had in the last two years. Going into the new year I’m happy to know the Edison team is only a phone call away for our marine product needs. Jordan in particular has always gone above and beyond. Thank you.”
