Front desk lady is kinda rude.
I said I can’t do an appointment today, and asked about what’s the most recent appointment, she told me it’s today which I can’t.
I asked what about other date which one is the most recent, she said there are 7 days in a week and I HAVE TO tell her a day for her to tell me. THEN she said bye bye and hung up on me…
I don’t know what’s so shady behind this so that the appointment time needs to be so sensitive. Red Alert.

Dr. Alex is always great. She is amazing with my dogs and is very honest, straight to the point, but also keeps expenses in mind.

They are extremely unprofessional when it comes to dogs who are fearful of strangers. It is completely disgusting and unacceptable that they are treating dogs who are extremely fearful of strangers like they are going to maul them. If you went into a facility for the very first time you are not going to want to be fully handled by someone you do not know. Especially the vet techs acting like they are aware of every dogs behavior and temperament making them seem like they are trainers. If you want to handle every animal that comes into your facility properly then you need to experience dogs that aren’t purebred doodles. If a specific breed scares you then YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS FIELD. It has been on a multiple time occurrence that we have experienced this terrible behavior from this facility and I’m completely appalled.

On Saturday morning, we walked in with an emergency because our 17 year old bestie, Panchito, was having trouble breathing. The staff were so kind and made sure we and our beloved Panchito were comfortable as we said goodbye to our furry family member. They let us spend as long as we needed with him and when we were ready to go they came back with his paw prints for us to keep. Then today, we got a condolences letter from them in the mail letting us know the hospital made a donation to an animal charity in his honor. It was obviously a very painful experience, but we are grateful for the compassion and care shown to our family.

Their availability is much greater than for our regular vet. We were able to get a next day appointment for our possibly sick cat, rather than wait 3 weeks for an appointment at our regular vet. Their charges are much more reasonable than they were several years ago, which is why we left in the first place.
The vet was very nice and thorough, and put a video on about a medication she thought we might need when she took our cat for xrays. The only thing I didn't like was that a tech told us the xrays looked fine without being able to talk to the vet about it; however, she may call after the radiologist reviews them.

The hospital has a receptionist by the name of Terry who must the the most bitter old woman with complete lack of empathy there exists in NJ. My dog, the love of our lives, was dying and she would not allow us to get him to the hospital, even though they were doctors on site. She sent us away to a hospital, which was 30 minutes away, knowing fully well that the dog would not survive saying the ‘hospital does not provide emergency services’ when it clearly says so on its website. Who does that. I sincerely hope she goes through the same experience in life where the dearest one in her family is turned away from medical help with terrible consequences

I recently took my 150-pound Rottweiler to Plainfield Animal Hospital for his vaccines, which were required for boarding while I went on vacation. I was initially hesitant and stressed about the visit because my dog has a history of being difficult during vet appointments, often growling and resisting examination due to his size and temperament. Every year, I dread this process.
From the moment I called to make an appointment, Plainfield Animal Hospital assured me they were well-equipped and trained to handle dogs like mine. Despite their reassurances, I did not expect the exceptional level of professionalism, courtesy, and skill displayed by the staff.
When we arrived, my dog and I were treated with the utmost care and respect. The entire experience was stress-free and smooth, far surpassing my expectations. The staff managed my dog with ease, making him feel comfortable and secure throughout the visit.
Thank you, Plainfield Animal Hospital, for turning a typically dreaded chore into a positive experience. You've earned a long-term patient, and I am grateful to have finally found a vet that can handle my big boy with such expertise.
Highly recommended!
