I hadn't read the bad experiences of others, this would have made me not go to that location, I made my appointment, I needed to fill out a form that took me less than 5 minutes to do, from there he told me that I wouldn't be on time and that I needed to reschedule my appointment, they didn't want to help me when there was no one else and I was still on time, they don't have a bit of sense with people, as if they were very busy, and the manager, the same, first and last time visiting this place

Did my first passport after filling out all information online and took a photo here too. Total time it took was 7 minutes which was insane compared to when I did this as a kid. Fast service and easy to understand

Just walked in, i can see why the reviews are so bad. They wouldn’t ship my packages because they weren’t in their boxes. They are amazon returns in amazon bags. I was gonna pay for their boxes but then they said id need to buy tape too.

We recently visited to get a passport for our child. Kris assisted us at the counter and made the process incredibly smooth—it took less than five minutes. We arrived early for our appointment, and Kris was the only staff member at the counter at the time. Despite being the sole person handling all inquiries, she greeted everyone warmly and efficiently managed each request on her own. Thanks Kris !

I tried to get finger printed here and the machine wouldn't work. The lady told me like 5 times there was something wrong with my hands, which is pretty messed up thing to say to someone. She made me go to a nearby restaurant to try washing my hands, then gave up my place in line. She refused to acknowledge an issue with the machine or her understanding of how it worked. I drove right to the post office in Summit where the machine worked, the staff patiently gave me completely different instructions on how to place my hands, and scanned my finger prints. This was an infuriating experience with a poorly trained staffer at the South Plainfield post office, I would go anywhere else.

Extremely rude staff, safe yourself and visit some other USPS. There is a reason they are so poorly rated.

Wanted to renew passport and chose this location . This USPS office is located good and has lots of parking outside . They also have a bagel shop and few other good spots around . I actually liked the space inside this USPS Location. Lockers , stamps and other stuff available.
The whole office has good light and ventilation. Staff were really helpful. .. there was a guy who helped with photos and passport application . Good service and they answered any questions we had . Good experience overall ..

Came here for passport services two separate times and the woman, Kris, was so friendly and helpful during both visits. She was also kind to the other customers before me too.

I should've made this review months ago but Fedex's great service reminded me of this USPS's terrible lack of service. I had a prepaid label package that needed to be mailed out. I had no knowledge that they had a self service kiosk, nor do i know how to use one so I went in line and waited. When it was my turn, I was greeted by an employee who immediately gave me an attitude, yelled at me to get out of line and to use the kiosk. I tried to ask her if she's able to show me how to use it but she yelled over me to just use the kiosk and drop off the package in the bin after. I understand it was early and it was somewhat busy and I didnt know how to use the kiosk but it is not an excuse to be unprofessional and rude to the customers or visitors. When I went to Fedex recently, for the same reason, you know what they did when they noticed I had a package? The lady asked me if I knew that they had a kiosk for prepaid labeled packages. When I answered, she offered help and showed me step by step on how to use the kiosk with no attitude. It went smoothly and that's how customer services should go.
