I stopped by a couple of weeks ago to look at wigs and Ellen was right there for me with compassion & kindness!
I tried on a few and couldn’t make up my mind, but came back in a couple of days and we sat down and finally picked one out!
Ellen & Jan have a great shop and we’ll make you feel right at home there!

Jen has cut my hair a few times and she always does amazing but this last time I’m blown away. I had made the mistake of getting my haircut elsewhere while on vacation and my bangs were absolutely botched. I thought I’d have to grow them out for another 6 months but Jen did such an amazing job fixing them up and making them feel brand new 💕 never going anywhere else

I came here about 2 months ago for my annual hair trim, I always got the owners daughter but in this case I got the owner. At first it was small talk here and there but then became a huge sale pitch for everything in the salon from shampoos, hairsprays to earrings and necklaces. I explained to her I had the products at home and she proceeded to keep talking about buying from the salon and not online (online is half the price they want to charge twice as much). I complimented her earrings to get off the topic and another sales pitch saying she got them from the salon as well and they’re the best earrings (I’ve seen them on Amazon for the half the price). From there it was different topics as she was convincing me to go to Germany and do a group cabin with complete strangers and she did it and it was a great time… long story short if you want to keep getting an ear full of tacky sales pitches and bad acting I would go here. I will not come here anymore I miss the old owners they were not as pushy as these new owners with the sales.

I learned today that salon serendipity is owned by Dermatologist next door. I’m glad I found this out before even trying to go to the salon because as a dermatologist he could care less about patients with alopecia so very ironic he owns a hair salon and refusing to treat people with alopecia

I was recommend to this salon and Ellen by the Sparta fb page. Never got a chance to try them. Made an appointment for today, got COVID over the weekend. Tried to reschedule online twice for the end of this week on Friday, which not work, called twice with my new "available" appointment choice and was never called back. When I called a third time, the receptionist said she in a singsong voice, she hadn't had a chance to call me back but... she DID had the time to give my appointment to someone else. It was no longer available. I would have been a loyal customer. I have a good paying retail job which requires me to look 100%. I really needed to get this appointment in this week because now I am out of time before the holidays. I have to scramble to find another salon by recommendation. I almost think they didn't call back because I said I had COVID. Very unprofessional. Where I work your nurture and cherish new customers. Your services may be great but your policies and procedures are POOR.

I started coming here for the name but I stayed because of the people. I absolutely love how they cut and color my hair. They are very knowledgeable and really listen to what you’re looking for.

My 2nd time to this salon, I initially made an apt there after a google search for a hair stylist in the area that is trained in cutting "curly" hair. I saw several reviews that mentioned Ellen the owner of the salon as a specialist in cutting "curly "hair and I was very happy with the time she took to educate me with the care of "curly" hair and also with the curly cut, at that time I also had highlights added, which gave my hair that bit of extra "oomph" it needed to look current. I just had my 2nd visit there to update my highlights and I am as pleased as the first time, I am so happy to have finally found a salon that listens to and treats their customers with appreciation !! Her daughter Jen who assists and works there also , is an asset to her business and I always enjoy her upbeat and bubbly personality ! I would definitely recommend this salon.Services: Curly hair

Thank you Ellen for knowing how to tame curly hair and educating me so I can replicate! The salon is so uniquely designed and welcoming and takes safety precautions against cross contaminating for COVID. PLUS the intellectually stimulating conversation. I am hooked and look forward to my next visit.

1st I called and confirm for balayage and a trim I informed them my hair was black and it was long and I was quoted $125 I agreed I was scheduled with Sam nice girl but she needs more experience definitely 1st level stylist I showed her the picture of what I wanted and I wanted the balayage and curls And it not I got

Fantastic salon!! I loved everything about my experience with salon serendipity in Sparta. The owner Ellen is not only extremely talented she genuinely loves what she does. I enjoyed the ease and set up of the salon with it’s comforting vibe. Im so glad I found this place and am looking forward to many future visits.

Had an awesome experience from start to finish. Told they could get my hair the color I wanted and did exactly that. I’ve been to many other salons and they could never get the correct color, Sam did an amazing job and kept great conversation the whole time. I felt very comfortable, will be going back for sure!
