Chris was highly recommended from my neighbor and two guys my son works with. One used to work at Sparta Glen Auto. My 2016 CRV 57,000 miles had been making a very loud noise like metal on metal. Sparta Mavis "fixed" the problem with a new bearing and Sussex Honda "fixed" the problem with a tire alignment and told me the noise I still heard when I left was normal! I had hit a very big pothole the previous week so I assumed the problem stemmed from that. I was so frustrated that no one had an answer until I went to Chris. He said my rear brakes were metal on metal! Honda had told me on my last routine maintenance that my brakes were fine. Chris replaced the rear brakes & rotors and the car runs great. All in all I would highly recommend Chris for anything you need. He was courteous and reasonable in price. I won't go into all the back and forth I am going with Mavis & Honda but needless to say I would never recommend either. Thank you so much Chris!

5 Stars +++! I had bought a used German car and knew would need some repairs. Sparta Glen Auto Tech - Jimmy specifically came highly recommended to me via Nextdoor and was honest, transparent, reasonable prices and trustworthy. Very seasoned and experienced (40 yrs)! Specialty is foreign cars like BMW's, VW, Porsche, Audi, but does work on all cars. He has a customer for life w/ myself, my husband and soon my son. He thoroughly went through the car and took care of everything !! It drives like a dream and ready for the summer! Thanks Jimmy!!! Will recommend you to anyone / everyone!

I used them for snow removal and not only were they not reliable but when they did come, they would plow all the snow all over the street and make such a mess that my neighbors would complain. In the middle of winter they decided they were never coming again without any notice. Very unprofessional.

I have been taking my car to this shop for about 10 years. they use to be very good, but lately they are horrible. The owner promises they can work on your car on a specific day, but the mechanics are overbooked and don't have time. They had my car for 5 days. The owner said they had worked on it and it was a computer problem. When i called to get a status the next day, the mechanic said no one had looked at my car yet even though it was there for so long (i had scheduled it to be brought in and fixed on the first day, but they didn't have time!) I feared i would be charged for this 'computer problem' that the owner said i had, so i took it to a rival's garage (Hayden's) that the Sparta Shell's own mechanic recommended as being excellent and honest. He was right.

I use these guys for snow removal, not sure if they are in some sort of transition as they were good in the past, but something similar to this scenario has happened on every storm this year: it is 3pm (12 hours after the end of snow) and we received a moderate amount of snow; my driveway has not been touched yet... one storm they came, built a 6 foot snow wall by plowing and left with the wall right smack in the middle of my driveway...we had to shovel it two days later to not miss a flight...maybe they will redeem themselves as the season finishes
