Zero stars!!! I went thru the drive thru and got my script in a timely manner but when I got home and opened up the bag it was the WRONG medicine. Tried calling to see if maybe my doctor made an error by sending over wrong information but of course nobody answered the phone. So I called over to East Brunswick Walgreens and they verified that my doctor sent correct medication over but I was given the wrong stuff so I drove over to spotswood and waited on the long line which no joke i was there from 3:15 to 4:45 IN LINE!!! When it was my turn I explained I got the wrong meds and after about 15 more minutes the pharmacist came over and apologized and said he would correct it. He then apologized again. Be careful check your prescriptions!!!

One and a half stars is way too generous for Walgreens in Spotswood! For the last six months or so they have been out of stock with regards to Auto-refill Rx and can't seem to fill any prescriptions without a delay, drama or BS. They do not answer phones. The MD can't get an Rx to go through. When dropping off a script I hold my breath and pray that it will be filled correctly. They have cut their hours down making it near impossible for working people to access their drive-up window. My mother-in-law takes water pills daily for years now and getting a 30 day refill for her is like asking the pharmacy for their gold teeth. A partial refill requires me to make several visits for her. My daughter has severe migraines and takes a monthly injection on the 29th of each month. Except that "auto refill" means NOTHING to them. We tried to call to confirm readiness for two solid days and couldn't get anyone to answer before driving over there. Since they now only open at 10:00am I drove there at 9:40am to get in line at the drive thru. There were already two cars ahead of me. I sat patiently listening to the radio. By 10:10 they had NOT opened the window. By now there were 5 cars behind me. Several started honking their horns to no avail. I put my car in park ant went inside to see if anyone was in the pharmacy and they were sitting behind the counter. (Metal roll up still closed at the drive thru.) After blasting them for incompetence and poor service and telling them that my entire family of 7 are pulling our Rx out and changing to another local pharmacy I returned to my car. Magically the window opened. The first car was not happy with the service and pulled away in a huff. The second car picked up 1 script and drove away. When it was my turn and I provided names and birth dates for my daughter and Mom it was no surprise that they were Out of Stock on both monthly required refills. The clerk said they were 'expecting a delivery' that day. I have heard that line of BS other months and I am sick of it. When I drove home we called the MD office and requested a new Rx to be issued to a new pharmacy and also went online and transferred all remaining scripts to another store. In speaking to friends and neighbors this is not unique to me. The store shelves are often sparse, the pharmacist hides himself away from confrontation. They should closed if they are not managed better. I will not go back there again. The last thing people who are not feeling well need is STRESS AT THE PHARMACY! Zero stars.

I would give this pharmacy 0 stars if I could. I worked as a pharmacy tech at Walgreens for 3 years so I understand how the process of filling prescriptions should work. Walgreens has three wait times for prescriptions: "waiting" which is 15 minutes, then there's "today" which is an hour and a half and "tomorrow" which is 24 hours or opening of business the next day. Several times I've waited over an hour for my "waiting" prescriptions only to go back and find that they haven't even started yet or were out of the medication without telling me. They are extremely disorganized and take zero accountability. I could go on and on about how poorly run this pharmacy is but instead I will just take my business elsewhere. Don't waste your time.

takes them forever to do anything. Long winded recorded message when you call. I wouldn't go there for my prescriptions- I liked Shop Rite in Spotswood MUCH better- but my stupid healthcare plan has a deal with them so my meds cost more if I go elsewhere. Involuntary servitude! I'm writing this review while on hold with them...over 5 (check that) 7 minutes so far. And every 15 seconds an "apology" for being on hold. UGH.

There's a young punk of a pharmacist that works at this Walgreens. He's arrogant, rude and uncaring. My mother who is on blood pressure medication and was visiting forgot to take her medication this morning. She is a Walgreens customer and I explained to the pharmacist the situation and he says 'well we can't just give her a pill'. Well excuse me Mr. hotshot pharmacist!! I used to work at a Walgreens as a pharmacy tech and if a customer came in especially somebody on a maintenance medication we would do that as a courtesy. You didn't even bother to even look up her profile or anything. You are a piece of garbage.

I am in here every week, for the same thing Niccorette. This week some older gentlemen with an earing wouldn't serve me because I did not have my ID it was in my car im 40 bald with a white beard. Im not close to the requirements for ID. After a nice conversation explaining I am in every week I havent been carded i years of being here. He said sorry and shrugged his shoulders. Guess I wont be going to this crappy store because of the way this guy treats a customer who shops weekly. Not to mention he wanted to reprimand someone. Everyone else is very nice but this guy. Only takes me one idiot to ruin a business.

Walgreens has taken over the Spotswood Rite Aid recently. We have been Spotswood Rite Aid customers for approximately 20 years, the service was never great and the store was pretty disorganized but the one thing it had going for it was it was close. All our doctors knew the location and we could easily get prescriptions filled. Now that it is Walgreens the store has undergone a facelift and is moving in a great direction. Prescriptions are sent from the doctors electronically, customers are notified by phone and text when ready. As a consumer you can see what the costs are, they pick up the phone and answer questions....imagine that! The store is clean and organized. Great start in Spotswood.

My mom went there this morning to buy vitamins that are on sale in the ad. There wasn't any on the shelf, so she went and asked the older woman at the register if they have anymore in stock or will be getting anymore. The woman immediately gave my mother an attitude and said "there is no more". When my mom tried asking if someone could check the back, she cut my mom off and said "everyone called out" with an attitude. Why is that a customers problem? So my mom just decided to purchase eye drops she needed and get the hell out of there. When they didn't come up on sale at the register, she asked the woman if they are suppose to be on sale. The woman sighed and rolled her eyes and said "put you phone number in". What a miserable, unprofessional person. Never going there again. Clearly they are short staffed and have HORRIBLE customer service.

Couldn't agree more with the reviews of the pharmacy. Twice they miscounted pills and their response is "we made a mistake". How difficult is it to count pills. There is no quality control. They count one time and one time only. So if you go there, check to make sure you get the right number. Switched all scripts to Monroe location, which isn't any better. I don't know why Rite Aid pharmacies can't get their act together.
