Rented a Nissan Sentra June-September 2023. Car was checked every 4 weeks with a cell phone video.I treated the car like I owned it.My reward for staying inside my condo during a rainstorm on September 18th was wire damage under the hood.The outside claim company is called PurCo, and charged me for repairs to the wires, 10-day loss of rent while repaired, admin costs, and diagnostic cost totaling $6,758.I asked PurCo if cars rented by Avis already have their own insurance to cover these repairs. No answer.I asked if the repairs have been paid already. No answer.I asked if these were the actual cost of repairs. No answer.I was not in the car when wires were damaged.I did not take the various insurance costs that Avis offered, because it would have been an extra $53/day!I was not negligent with this car, but I am expected to pay $6,758 for damage to wires during a rain storm, when I was not in the car. PurCo represents many car rental companies for over 30 years. Beware of outrageous car repairs and other fees.

I recently rented a car from this Avis location and I had a great experience, I was able to rent a nice Tesla for my birthday weekend. The rental agent was kind and courteous I will definitely be back again soon!!!

The assistant was super nice. However, they charged me a late fee when I dropped it off the night before it was due back. Upon calling customer service, I was hung up on after a 26 minute hold. I called back, placed on hold again to be hung up on..again.They 3rd party their call center to India. Horrible customer experience with call center.

Avis Car rental in Springfield, NJ has the best customer service in the area. Deva is extremely polite and always smiling. She is extremely knowledgeable and has great experience. I rented a car for a week from this location. When I was doing the walk through with the woman I noticed that the tire had a decent hole in it and didn't feel comfortable driving a far distance in it. She then gave me a car that a customer was returning at the same time I was there. She handed me two lysol wipes and that was it. The car was disgusting inside/had a used mask. Even before Covid I would have been grossed out by this car, but during a pandemic you would think this wouldn't happen. I had no choice but to take it as I had already booked with this place and every other place was closing. I called after I returned the car as I noticed I was overcharged and also mentioned the condition of the car I was given. While the person was apologetic they said that was the only car they had so there were no other choices. She offered me a discount on a future rental, but I would never rent from them again. I was told she would speak to billing and see what they could do. After correcting my rental to the price I should have paid they gave me an additional $5 off. I will definitely not be renting from here again as I don't think they handled this situation well at all. Especially given I booked ahead of time and never should have been given either of those cars.

Customer service was good but car was very dirty. Although it was stated the car was disinfected car i still cleaned more because from the looks its wasn't clean.
