“I went into the Springfield Store, and the gentleman (Justin) who was at the front desk, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very nice! This is the reason people are loyal to certain stores, due to the "Good Service" you receive. Which is rare nowadays! Will definitely be back soon!”
“I had a fantastic experience with American Royal Hardware in Montclair, New Jersey. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help. I needed several solid brass poles cut down to custom sizes, and they took the time to assist me with precision and care.
What stood out most was their commitment to customer service and their generosity toward the local community. It’s refreshing to find a locally owned hardware store where people still go above and beyond to help their customers.
Thanks again Roy!”

“A long time customer because of the level and quality of customer care I always received on everything that is Benjamin Moore paint. Unbeknownst to me, Red Star is also a certified Hunter Douglass provider. Ryan was instrumental in guiding us on their service offering and even came to our house to discuss our vision for the space. He in turn put us in the hands of Vic who is a certified window treatment installer and executes his craft seriously and with care. I cannot diminish how impressed we were with the service, installation, quality of product and the customer after care. I recommend Red Star, this team in particular, and all of their offerings.”
“We’ve used Paper Chase for paint, window treatments and floor coverings and couldn’t be more pleased! Knowledgeable and helpful staff that go above and beyond.”
“Excellent service. Reasonable price. I bought a 5 gallon bucket of color paint and I was in and out in under ten minutes. Given the level of service and the price, this will be the only place I will be buying paint from.”

“Matt has been so very accommodating with his professional advice. He knows paint colors and I would def come here over Home Depot because they have higher quality with different sheens and can guide you to select the perfect paint for each room of your house!”
“Paintland is top notch for all you paint supply needs! I went to this location requesting to match an existing paint color and Doug and Pete were extremely knowledgeable and helpful creating the perfect shade. I would highly recommend you visit this store and skip all the others.”

“I returned almost 9 years later to seek out paint for another renovation renovation project. I was assisted both visits with courtesy and patience.
Cameron was able to assist with providing the best finishes and narrowing down my color pallet. He even went above and provided how much paint to order for my contractor. Would highly recommend as it took a lot of the guess work out by showing him the blueprint of my home.”
“I’ve been going to Newark Paint for years, and they have consistently been an incredible help with their advice, experience, and knowledge. Everyone there is always friendly, helpful, and their prices are very competitive.
What really sets them apart is their expertise. They truly know their products and take the time to guide you in the right direction, whether it’s paint selection, supplies, or problem-solving during a project.
They’re also a long-standing local small business, and it’s great to support a company that has built such a strong reputation in the community over the years.
We’re currently doing a major addition on our home, and there was never any question where we’d be buying our paint and supplies — Newark Paint all the way. Highly recommend!”
“Great company!! We have ordered from Chris at Non Toxic Paint Supply for many years (8?) for work at multiple houses-he helped us by providing matching colors after Mythic went out of business, and we have ordered from him ever since. He provides excellent customer service and support, fast shipping, and most importantly, 0 VOC paint. The paint barely has a smell to it, which is great for someone like me (with reactive airway). We will continue to order from him in the future, we highly recommend Non Toxic Paint Supply!”
“We went in there twice over the last two days to buy paint and supplies for our daughter and SIL’s new house. We had such a great experience each time! We live in Cranford and can’t believe we didn’t know this place was here. The staff: Cindy, Harry and Roger were all so helpful and just so easy to work with. This place is now our go-to for any hardware needs. Highly recommend!”
“It’s just what a small town hardware store should be
Staff is excellent. Very helpful advising on types of paint for each project. You can walk in with a random nut or bolt and Walther knows exactly what you need to pair up with it. So if some say the pricing is a little higher than going to the “bigger” stores, the service and convenience is well worth it. Who has the extra hour or two to drive to a highway store, and then wander around with no one to help you, only to stand in a long checkout line? Village hardware is the gem of downtown Chatham
And if you bring your “friendly
well behaved” dog, the staff will give it a milkbone.
Been going here 18 years and enjoy the experience every time”
“John is amazing. He won’t help you pick a color but he does help with best product choices, best quality vs pricing and seems genuinely interested in my project. The quality of paint is better than Lowe’s and Home Depot. The store is clean and stocked. If you need paint, go see John.”
“The staff at the East Hanover Sherwin Williams are truly outstanding! I've had the pleasure of being assisted by Christian on multiple occasions, and he is always incredibly helpful and a genuine joy to interact with. Although there are Sherwin Williams stores closer to me, the exceptional customer service at the East Hanover location keeps me coming back. It's hard to go anywhere else!”

“I'm glad I used Google to find this location. My husband only want to use Benjamin Moore paint and this location has the paint and all the extras that you will need. I parked in the front but there is even more parking spaces in the back. The staff was friendly. The lady that helped me did everything from getting the paint, ringing me up and even brought the two 5 gallons of paint directly to the car and placed them inside ?. She lifted the gallons up effortlessly.
When I got home I thought I could do the same thing.
No!
My neighbors Ring camera probably recorded my struggle. ? I will let the contractor remove the remaining gallon from the car.”
“Nice place, paint is somewhat expensive, but it is worth it, they can make a paint of color you need. Large enough parking. When I was given a wrong (too gloss) paint by mistake, nice salesman Joe did replace it without problem next week.”

“I guess a few years ago they changed the formula for their pigments, and last year I came here and bought the paint that a lot of my house was done in, but it didn’t match at all. I didn’t use it, and brought it back almost a year later, along with a sample of my existing paint, and they matched it most excellently without any additional charge. The woman who helped me was extremely nice, and definitely earned my return business. Thanks for your help. It’s a near perfect match.”
“The gentleman who helped me spent 20 minutes trying to find a solution to replacing a missing screw. In the end he had to cut down a screw and grind it down to make it smooth. After all of that effort he only charged me $2.00. This was the type of service which used to be common at retail stores but now hardly exists anywhere. I’m so glad it still exists at One Stop Hardware. Thank you!”
“Herman was great and so helpful! Was going to go to a big box store, (no names), but I am so glad I went to Rossi. Enjoyable and so knowledgable! Thanks for all your help!”

“My neighbor recommended ABBE Lumber to us, and I'm glad he did. I've had great experiences with them, especially working with Giuseppe (Joe). He had patience while helping us design our deck, and he sold all of the necessary materials to us (including some we didn't know that we needed - thus saving us from having to come back again). He knows what he is talking about and gave us some very good tips to ensure a successful installation.
Over the past year we have had four deliveries from them, and the drivers were friendly and courteous, unloading materials to exactly where we wanted them. A couple times, a forklift was used to put Trex decking right into our garage. I've called and emailed a few times, and Joe always responded quickly and was very helpful. I've returned a few things that I bought too much of, and had no issues at all with the returns.
If you are looking for Trex decking, check their prices. They are the least expensive around. Compare them to Home Depot and Lowes and you'll see what I mean. They were also lower than other lumber yards that I compared them to.
Their showroom has a nice display of decks, railings, and lights to help you decide what to buy, plus all of the necessary hardware. And of course they have all the lumber that you will need to complete your project.”
“I gave it five stars because my server, Jose made the process quick and easy and he could be a nurse walking you through getting a booster shot because I felt a vibe of comforting and good nursing here.”
“My garden tools and knives are better than new after bringing them here for sharpening. They were done quickly and expertly. I'm so grateful to have found a place for all the supplies and tools for home improvement.”
“Eclectic home and goods store in Montclair. Very well thought out and eclectic selection of items. My favorite part is they are a farrow and ball vender!! Huge selection of fabrics and rugs and ceramics and art. The list goes on. Seemingly quality over quantity and lots of handmade products.”

“We have been getting our building supplies and hardware here for a long time. Marce has always been very helpful and professional. He always goes above and beyond to get us what we need.”
“It is a very personalized experience. This was my first time doing a painting project of my own, and the guys were very helpful in walking me through step by step. They were clear in explaining the differences between the paint and helped me pick what would work best for myself and family.”
“Good customer service, good paint, good prices. Parking available in front of store. They are the best in matching paint. Good Quality paint. Thank you for your service and patience with me. They really work with people.”

“Breslow has done an amazing job! I could not be happier. The team worked diligently. They took such care and attention to every detail. They went above and beyond my expectations. They were clean, organized and so very respectful of our home. I would highly recommend Nelson, the project manager, and his incredible team.”
