We gave the pharmacy the benefit of the doubt despite the reviews. Big mistake. They failed to fill our prescription as required, lied about an order having been placed to be picked up the next day, and were grossly unethical for the pharmacist to suggest we pay out of pocket for prescription medication that was covered by insurance simply because they were too lazy to check. As if that weren’t enough, they did not transfer our prescription to our new pharmacy as requested. Highly disturbing practices that are practically illegal. Stay away because this place does not care about your health needs.

One star for the store manager today who was pleasant and professional. The pharmacists were not professional and mumbled under breath when questioned about prescription price. We were overcharged and had to get a refund after consulting with my insurance to find out meds were only $1.00 as opposed to $30.

Abysmal. Cancelled my prescription without any warning, told me I had to call the doctor to get a new script. Rushed me off the phone and told me it was my own fault basically. Do not send your prescriptions here and don’t waste your time trying to get actually customer service at this pharmacy.

This store is awful! Today my daughter was prescribed an inhaler bc she can’t breathe and she’s on the spectrum and requires a spacer or else she is unable to use it. I called prior to picking up her inhaler at like 2:30pm they said yes they have it. I arrive and double check again stating her age and I ask how to use it and everyone is clueless. They instruct me to use the instructions which don’t tell you much. I get home and it doesn’t connect to my inhaler so I call and they said oh well that’s the only one we had so you can bring it back and we will refund you. I drive back down and ask again if they know how to use it. They all stared at me. The one lady kept talking about how it’s almost 5pm and she needs to leave soon. She grabs the box as I’m reviewing the instructions and brings it to the register. I ask to be refunded in cash as I paid debit and the one lady said yeah no problem. The lady who was getting ready to leave at 5pm says I’ll refund you. I said can you make sure it’s cash bc I don’t have the funds to cover the 3-5 wait for the return. The lady looks at me and says nope sorry it goes back how u pay. I said are you sure it’s debit and she’s like yup. I go to walk out and I ask if the guy up front is the store manager he says no and asks why and I explain. He confirmed the lady in the back was wrong and took my info. I get home and call corporate and they keep me on hold for an hour and tell me they will correct the issue bc my daughters health is what’s important and an hour later I get $10 added to my care account and a I’m sorry they can’t help you bc they refunded your script. So my daughter who couldn’t breathe didn’t get the spacer she needed for her breathing. They left her high and dry. Luckily I found ONE person online on FB of all places who had two spacers and gave them to me for free. They were used but who cares I cleaned them and was able to administer my daughters medication. I am beyond disgusted with CVS in Stanhope.

I went in to get my Covid vaccine, the staff in the pharmacy were very friendly and helpful to me. The process was quick, easy and stress free!! I will definitely come back! Loved it!!

I recently moved to the area and wanted to continue using CVS pharmacy. Luckily, this CVS has some of the best pharmacy staff that you could ask for. They are always very friendly, very helpful, and not judgmental. The staff here has even saved me a tremendous amount of money on my prescriptions when I didn’t have health insurance.
Highly recommend this pharmacy if you are considering one in the area.

Sam made this this the most stress free enjoyabble experience i have ever had i n any Cvs store. He has helped me on previous visits as well. It is nice to have employees who have his patience and kindness with senior citizens . You are lucky to have him as an employee. Doris Cooper
