Do not rent a Tesla from Avis. Pricing for Tesla supercharging is opaque and the two companies have colluded in gouging their customers for $0.99 kWh - which is the equivalent of paying about $10 / gallon. Note further that you do not have a choice unless you can find an L2 home charger.

I needed a rental same day and Ro and Dom came through. I spoke with Dom first and he gave me a quote over the phone and reserved a vehicle for me. I arrived to pick up the vehicle and it turns out I accidentally called the Fairfield location instead of the Short Hills location I intended. However, Ro connected with Dom and was able to get me a vehicle quickly and honored the price that Dom quoted. The process was fast and convenient and I appreciated the service.

Is either you are blessed or lucky to find good people who would deliver the expectation set where good customer service is concerned. With my experience it was both. I met a wonderful human being who took care of me professionally. Everything was ready set, and I just had to sign, got the keys for the vehicle I requested, and I was on my way. I wish everyone the same experience everytime. Just call ahead of time and make your reservation the day before and you will be smiling when you leave.

Horrible place.Website says it opens at 7:30am, and we successfully booked for 7:30, however upon arrival we were told they weren’t open until 8.A women arrived at 7:54, and we waited for another 15 min, but she didn’t know her credentials to log into her computer! No apologies, explanation or anything. We ended up leaving and taking Uber instead. Wasted a good 50 minutes.

The lady involved in our renting a car from the Grand Summit Hotel was horrific ! "Roe" was the representative at the Avis rental car office at the Grand Summit Hotel.Roe is always late and she promised my husband she would pick me up at our home at 9 am sharp, in the rental car we reserved, so we could be at our destination as planned.She never showed up, as she said she would.At 9:45am, I had to ask a neighbor to drop me off at the Summit Hotel to pick up my rental car.Roe was STILL not in her office.Just do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. How does the Avis and the Grand Summit Hotel employ such irresponsible people !?

I had an amazing experience with the Avis staff at Grand Summit Hotel before, during, and after my trip up north -- especially during the hairy situation of traveling back home during the recent winter storm. Big shoutout to Jason in particular for his professionalism (and compassionate goatee!).

A convenient local option for rental cars. Jason is super helpful and the rental rates are reasonable. Short(ish) hours of operation but no big deal if you plan ahead.

I've always had good experiences renting from this office, courteous and accommodating staff. It helps to know that the layout of the hotel in which the office is located means that if one person is working, they have to run around to back of the hotel to park and clean cars. In the 5 or so times I've rented in the past year this happened once, and I went around back to where the cars are parked, found the person, and they stopped vacuuming and walked me back to the office.

If AVIS care even an iota about customer service, they should sack the customer rep at this place. I had a reservation to pick up my car at 8AM and this person was only gonna show up at 9am. In addition to this lackadaisical approach, I had to put up with her terrible attitude as well

I've had an awful experience with this particular location. Last week we had a rental booked at 9.30 am (and the office is open at that time) but there was no one present. I tried calling the number provided, but I got no answer. Having no other option I waited. The person in charge showed up about 15 minutes later. The checkout process took extremely long due to computer issues as well as a car not being ready. This is so far OKAY, you know people can have bad days etc.Once my trip ended - because the person in charge could not be found - I left the keys in the drop box (as they had suggested in their voicemail message). This was around 3pm - so well within business hours.Now the headache - I got billed for 2x the amount that was in my rental agreement. Turns out I was overcharged for the rental (the rate was changed after my contract was started) AND the rental office charged me for insurances I had DECLINED (in the contract). I tried contacting the office directly but I got no response. I then contacted corporate and submitted my documents. Corporate has assured me this will be corrected - but this has never ever been a problem with other Avis locations as well as Enterprise.Now I'm waiting for corporate to resolve this over - but I urge you to not use this rental location OR be prepared for a really long wait for the person in charge because it seems like they cannot be trusted to get the details of your rentals right.

They publish that they open at 7:30am. I am still waiting for staff to arrive at 7:40am. It's disrespectful and unprofessional. And not the first time I've had this experience here. If you have the ability to go elsewhere, you should.
