I arrived at Vicki Popp Salon with a photo and a half thought-out description of what I wanted. Val listened, asked important questions around maintenance and told me her thoughts. I trusted her entirely and am so happy that I did. The color and cut came out better than the photo I'd brought in for inspiration. Will definitely be back! Bonus points - Everyone is very friendly, they had the best playlist and the salon was super cute.

I have had the ultimate pleasure of finding a hair soulmate. Vicki has been styling, cutting and coloring my hair for over 20 years. She takes pride in her craft. Prior to Vicki becoming an entrepreneur to one of the most beautiful and pristine salons I've ever stepped foot in, she was the girl I always planned to stay committed to. I have very curly, thick and unruly hair. She knows exactly how to cut and style my hair. I leave the salon feeling like a million bucks. Unbeknownst to you, she is taking mental notes of your requests and suggestions, as well as preparing her brain for your next appointment. She has your best interest at heart and works with the highest level of professionalism and consideration for her clients. Not only does she care about your hair, but she cares about you. If you're looking for someone to invest a great deal of energy, time and considerable thoughtfulness in you, Vicki is your gal. Let it be known that her staff follows suit and you will be equally blessed with any one of her elite stylists. I'll start by saying that even though I was unhappy with my haircut, I did not let the salon know how I felt. I should've said something so that's my mistake. However, after seeing what my hair looked liked, I did not feel comfortable letting the stylist fix it. I have a lot of hair and a normal cut and blowout takes at least an hour and a half. I had a nice shampoo. However, the stylist was not very friendly. Since my hair is thick, I asked if she would thin it out, which she did not do. She rushed through my hair and seemed like she was just annoyed to be there. I asked for long layers which is what I usually get. My hair looked so choppy. It wasn't the most pleasant experience. I went to another local salon and had them fix it. They said the layered haircut I received wasn't done properly. I was so surprised because my friend highly recommended Vicki Popp. Needless to say I was disappointed. Again, my fault for not saying anything. The price was reasonable for a cut/blowout but I'd rather pay more for a better experience.

I have been a client of Vicki Popp Salon since their opening in Berkeley Heights and subsequent move to their Summit location. I have gone to several salons here and in New York. I can attest that Vicki and her staff are the most professional, understanding and caring staff I have ever encountered. When you enter the salon, you know you will get great service. Beginning with Jess taking care of your scheduling needs.Dori has been my hair stylist for many years. She listens to my needs and offers expert tips and advice on hair color and styling. Her sister, Val has also cut my hair. They are a terrific team! I have also had the pleasure to have Vicki, the owner of the salon cut and style my hair as well. This staff is so welcoming and truly listens to their client's needs. During this pandemic, service was not diminished but rather enhanced. Vicki Popp provided the necessary Covid-19 protections that made me feel very safe. I would highly recommend that you visit this salon! You will have a wonderful and safe hair styling experience!

I am lucky enough to have been referred to Vicki Popp Salon when she was operating in BH and now I followed her to Summit. I can not say enough amazing things about her skills and her staff. They are always super accommodating and listen to my hair needs and requests. She follows all guidelines to ensure safety during these times. Highly recommend!
