ACME Markets is a local grocery store located at 1619 Center Square Rd, Swedesboro, NJ, offering a variety of shopping options and services. The store features a friendly staff dedicated to helping customers find what they need, whether through in-store shopping or convenient delivery options like Grocery Delivery and DriveUp & Go™. The bakery provides birthday cakes, custom cakes, cupcakes, and more, with a convenient Order Ahead service to ensure orders are ready upon arrival. The deli offers party trays and platters, while the butcher block provides meats, seafood, and sushi trays. The produce department is also available for fresh fruits and vegetables. Many customers find ACME to be a clean and nice place to shop, with some appreciating the quality of products, especially in the meat section. However, some reviews mention that prices can be high compared to other stores like Shoprite, with frequent comparisons showing ACME as more expensive for common goods such as tea, butter, and cereal. This price difference has led some customers to prefer Shoprite, especially since ACME's reusable bag policy for pickups does not include recycling, unlike Shoprite, which recycles reusable bags and reduces waste. While the store receives positive remarks about customer service and product selection, concerns about pricing and the store's declining popularity after the opening of a new nearby competitor suggest that ACME may need to work on pricing strategies to retain customers. Overall, ACME Markets is seen as a clean, friendly place with quality products, but its pricing and environmental practices are areas for improvement.
