Lovely place that took my breath away. Charming owner too, who jokes with you and makes you feel at home.

The book I was looking for turned out not to have been published yet, so I can't find fault with the owner...who, from the looks of the place, has every other book in existence. A great place to spend an afternoon. There aren't many great stores like this around any more so SUPPORT THEM. You never know what you might find. A real gem.

The guy who answers the phone needs to get a grip. If a customer calls to ask if you have certain books in stock, just say yes or no. Talks to much and you just feel annoyed afterEdit:Yeah you’re making my point sound more valid. I bet you have a ton of issues with other customers because of your lame attitude. I just called you to ask a question and you came across as immature. Maybe my phone call was too much to handle for this so called “professional.”

One of my favorite book shop owners. Always has something interesting for sale. I really like the $1 mass market paperbacks.

This is a really wonderful bookstore. The owner was very kind. There are so many books here and the prices are more than reasonable, I plan to go back on a regular basis!

Excellent selection, owner is friendly, prices are good- including a healthy $1.00 section. (There are also fun pieces of artwork and nick-knacks to spot around the store.)

Just be careful he the prices the books in pencil and asks if you'd like to leave the books with him while you're looking around and ho changes the price .

Filled wall to wall with second hand books. You will find a lot of amazing stuff here. It feels like a hundred years was packed into a small shop! Take your time here. (I did get a little overwhelmed here, so I had to step out for a bit, but overall fun place to spend time here.)

Brier Rose books is a gem. There is a great variety of books available, and it is such a treat to spend time perusing the shelves. The owner is kind and helpful but generally leaves you alone. I've pleasantly discovered a few books br browsing in addition to finding those oldies that I've been wanting to read for ages.

What a wonderful bookstore! The owner is friendly, helpful, and generally enchanting. I enjoyed chatting with him about books, book care, and random stuff. Aside from the neat quirks of the proprietor, the quaintness and eclectic nature of the store is simply pleasant.I purchased four J.R.R. Tolkien books for a more than reasonable $15. I think I'll be a regular.

The old man who runs the store is no more than a Saint, and Socrates in his prime. The store is controlled chaos, and one of a kind! The books are scattered in unique fashion, and the prices are so fair you scratch your head due to how lucky your are when you find a diamond in the rough. A little hard to locate, but worth the adventure time in and time out every time!!

I honestly left this place speechless. Beautiful place with so many books and the man who works there was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, eager to talk to you about your finds. I was blown away by the affordable pricing, I had never seen such a great bookstore so cheap. The nice man told me how he likes to put out otherwise expensive books for so cheap to catch people’s eyes. I also told him to keep the change, 15 cents or so, and he insisted I take it. Clearly an incredible person running a beautiful store. One of my favorite places ever, thank you sir.
