I had an awful experience at this store and will not be buying meat again. I bought a very expensive cut of meat (French Roast) for a holiday. When I took the meat out of the fridge two days later to cook it, it was rancid and spoiled. When I brought it back to the store for a credit/exchange the representative lied and claimed she was a manager. She accused me of leaving the meat out of the fridge and said the store has a 24 hour return policy for perishables. I was appalled at the way I spoken to. More importantly, meat should not spoil in the fridge after two days. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere.

This was a good visit, they had everything I wanted. Even plastic serving spoons for only 99c.

Clean market. Nice selection of produce. Not as many brand choices as the large chain markets. Moderate prices.

Standard kosher supermarket fare, with occasional really good sales on meat. The parking lot brings out something primal in the customers though. Make sure you're okay with door dings and shopping cart strikes if you park in it.

Very nice neighborhood store. The shelf prices are perhaps a drop higher than I'm used to coming from Brooklyn but seem to be standard for the area and they are constantly running good specials. The quality of the meat, baked goods and produce are good.

Helpful staff. Great butcher. Everything you need in a small space.

I was refused a refund for moldy peppers and spoiled pickles. I was told by the manager I needed to return with the bad produce, which I had thrown out already, in order to get store credit. Highly unreasonable store policy that won't stand by the quality of their goods.

Excellent high quality fresh fruits, veggies, and meats. Whoever started this chain is a genius. All the staff are top notch. From the fruit stacker, the cashiers, etc ... everyone knows how a well run neighborhood store should be.I thought I'd add a few things:A small and cozy shop, but they have almost everything. They stock some items that I don't find elsewhere.Examples: Baby bok-choy. They're great stir-fried/steamed to "just cooked"! Spaghetti squash when in season, great stuff.Looking for something not in the meat shelves? Ask the butcher. If he has it in the back, he just might get/cut/etc one for you.The place is still run the way it did when it opened. Very neat and efficient. Thank you.PS. When they have sales on some things, get ready to stock up.

I bought meat erev shabbos (Friday afternoon) to grill hamburgers on Sunday. The meat was rancid! Oozed foul smelling liquid, and smelt terrible even without opening package. As I live in Teaneck and shop there weekly, I went to the store to return and bring to their attention. They would not take responsibility and said I should not expect meat to last that long. EXCUSE ME?? Meat should last 5 days in the fridge. What a horrible experience. Had I cooked the meat, my entire family would have been sick. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT CEDAR MARKET AGAIN (it has been my go to for years) AND I STRONGLY SUGGEST THE SAME FOR YOU.Thier meat WILL make you sick, and the same for their customer service.I miss Best GlattSHAME ON YOU CEDAR MARKET! (and your $8 Romaine lettuce at Pesach)#spoiledfood #rancidmeat #cedarmarket #worstcustomerservice
