The fruit was delivered in a timely manner, it was clean, peeled and perfectly ripe. I was able to place an order all the way from Texas with great ease. “Would give 10 stars! From beginning to end, an exceptional customer service experience. We had a small engagement party at The Chart House and needed 5 centerpieces. Jim was so easy to work with and always communicated in a timely manner. He made several arrangements for us to choose from after consulting us on what our vision and budget was. The final result was magnificent and we were truly blown away by the voluminous array of fresh flowers! Many of the guests had lovely compliments and asked who the florist was. Thank you for adding A+ arrangements to our event!”

“United Brothers Fruit Markets is located in Astoria, Queens. Open 24 hours / 7 days a week, various produce is available. The apples sold here come straight from NY State Farms, and it is to support local farmers. Connected right next door to the marketplace is where they have a Juice Bar & sell fresh juices & smotthies as well as their infamous Hot Apple Teas! United Brothers Fruit Market is accessible via public transportation, which includes the N train to 30 Ave. It is a short walking distance from the train station and is close to a host of hang-out spots, eateries, etc. and not too far from shops on Steinway (GAP, Banana Republic, etc.) When arriving at United Brothers Fruit Markets, there are Hot Apple Tea samples that once can try near the outside front entrance. This establishment introduced me to Hot Apple Tea, and it is delicious. Although I have purchased reasonably priced produce many times, United Brothers Fruit Markets 100% Natural Homemade Hot Apple Tea is my favorite thing to purchase here, and I have had various flavors. Strawberry Blueberry Hot Apple Tea, Spearmint Hot Apple Tea, Ginger Cinnamon Hot Apple Tea, Mango Hot Apple Tea, Ginger Hot Apple Tea, etc....you name it and they sell it. The Pineapple Hot Apple Tea is so good. A regular size Hot Apple Tea is $5, and a large size is $7. The Hot Apple Teas are so refreshing. “I really appreciate this place since Food Univers opened up. The prices are so reasonable compared to the other places. I try to buy most of my stuff here because it saves me a lot of money. This is the closest place for me to shop at and to be very honest it's pretty good. It's not all name brand stuff but the quality and price is actually very good on just about everything they sell.”

“The best super market with in the area. Always has the best and freshest meat and chicken. Also have a wide selection of international foods. You will literally find anything you are looking for here. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied. Owner has even offered to get me a ride home because my husband was taking too long to pick me up! If that doesn’t scream great customer service i don’t know what does! The owner and the arab butcher specifically are super friendly and always trying to put a smile on their customers faces by having funny conversations. Owner is always in the store which shows how much they care about their business. Could not recommend this store enough!”

“It's basically where I shop it started out being very reasonably priced and as I continue the prices kept going up and up especially around the first of the month”

“I come here to shop every weekend. It is located in a very convenient spot by a few highways and a mall. There is a great selection of hot bar food and drinks. When I have family or friends over, I purchase dinner from the hot bar. There is a wide selection of salads, meats, fish etc. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want to find great Eastern European dishes. Netcost also has great typical supermarket offerings as well such as fruit and vegetables. Service here is great. It can get very crowded during the holiday season but all cash registers will be open. Only suggestion I have is for Netcost to have smaller carts for shoppers who shop in smaller quantities. Overall this is an excellent store and the hot bar needs to be visited.”

“It was a wonderful find on the trip! There is fresh food to pick up from self-service. There are countless options, it is almost impossible to decide what you prefer to eat. The value per kg is displayed on a sign in front of the food. Everything very fresh and quality. There are plenty of places to sit and eat in peace, and they also play really cool music.A great tip is that they have a section just for “snacks” like bagels, bread with eggs and bacon, etc. Freshly made and wrapped in aluminum foil just like in the Harley Quinn movie!”

“If you are interested in international products that are not easy to find in Manhattan, you may be able to find it here. Asian, Balkan and Middle Eastern cuisine focused, for clarification. They also have good representations of supermarket staples such as freshly made cakes, hot food bar, and a good selection of produce. Pricier than even Whole Foods for the items that WF also sells, so you may want to buy the necessities here and continue your shopping at other supermarkets.”

“You can find things and fruits of very good quality above all, the price is very comfortable. A good initiative by the owner, having added girls who speak Spanish to his staff, as part of the Latino community, I recommend this place I give them 5 stars they are very sweet.”

“Yummy DELICIOUS birria pizza and al pastor pizza. I did half and half a medium for $25. It was SO GOOD. I definitely recommend. Me personally I liked the birria side better, but my friend liked the al pastor better. So I guess just try both flavors!”

“the closest thing to a green market in Queens. Fruits and vegetables and bunches of herbs locally sourced and achingly fresh and delicious. Garlic so new and flavorful that I've had to cut down in recipes. L.I. tomatoes glowing with real dirt picked fresh off the vine--no wonder they've been here fifty years and open until midnight. The beginning of fall apples waiting for pies and apple sauce. The two women who run it are sympathetic and helpful. If you can't find it, they'll know where it is. Even the potatoes taste fresh--so different from standard grocery store fare! Summer asparagus that I couldn't stop eating. And baby zuchinni and I don't like zuchinni. I am so happy. I didn't think when I moved anything could equal the Sunday market at the museum of Natural History. Elliniki more than succeeds--and its open seven days a week.”

“Great little neighborhood family run market for years. Has a little of everything you might need.clean, friendly, a notch above the small markets and bodegas in the neighborhood. No deli counter or salad bar etc, just a pure small market”

“Super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable staff of two (and a cute dog!) who truly love their work as purveyors and providers of health food products etc. Dwight is always trying to figure out which products will best serve his clientele, and Ren (hope I’m spelling it right,) is very welcoming, informed, and perceptive. 100% would recommend this long-standing Hastinds-on-Muhheakantuk (aka Hudson) gem.”

“I'm so glad I stumbled upon Grand Bazaar. Inside is a treasure trove of fresh produce and international products. The store is Turkish-owned, so you'll find an abundance of Turkish and Mediterranean products. There is also a halal butcher in the store. The employees at the store speak limited English but they were friendly and helpful when I asked them about their halloumi selection. They had 4 varieties! It was great. Since most of these products are imported, the prices are higher (by quite a lot), but the variety is unlike anywhere else I've seen in the area. Definitely worth the visit. They also have free parking in the back of the store.”

“First time to an Asian market. It was kinda cool. I bought a few things . I would've bought more but I was visiting from NH and didn't have previsions to keep the stuff fresh to home.”
