Het is een mooie en ruime winkel, met van alles en nog wat - onder meer een ruime boekencollectie, posters, kaarten, magneten, tasjes en designitems. Speciale vermelding voor de dame die onder aan de trap iedereen welkom heette en weer een fijne dag wenste, maar door veel voorbijgangers genegeerd werd. Dit moet voor haar of de persoon die er op een ander moment staat toch aangenamer kunnen worden ingericht?”

I was looking for something to do to pass time, and am so glad I discovered this shop!The staff is so knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly to customers, and the pets and children that accompany them!I was in there for a long while browsing with my toddler, and I was not rushed at all. They had such a wide variety of beautiful handmade jewelry as well as crystals.When I asked for a specific item, they were able to find one perfect for me! A beautiful little amethyst unicorn!They went above and beyond, even offering recommendations for a local ice cream shop I could go to with my little one. They even recognized me from their Instagram followers!The Gem Mine is a treasure trove of unique finds, and the staff is just out of this world. In addition to all kinds of New York City themed ornaments, they also have personalized ornaments that can make for very special gifts! They also sell New York City souvenirs such as tee shirts, license plates, key chains and other touristy items!”

An employee (I believe her name is Cassidy, according to my receipt) complimented my Mickey Mouse attire and immediately directed me to the Mickey & Friends Funko Pops. The cashier, Joey (again, per my receipt), was also very friendly and engaged in pleasant small talk during my purchase. “Can’t recommend Mary Anne’s enough for any Irish crafts or traditional in the NYC area. Earlier this summer, I was the Best Man of an upcoming wedding and looking for some wedding gifts. I called the store to double check on stock before making the trek from Brooklyn, and Mary Anne was kind enough to FaceTime with me and give me an impromptu stock tour to ensure she had what I was looking for.
When I came up the next day, I spent over an hour in the store as she helped me hand pick multiple personal and meaningful gifts, and engraved everything free of charge. Overall, it was the best hospitality and shopping experience I’ve ever had. If you are looking for Irish gifts over the holidays, this is the place to go.”
