I had TAX return with Mr. Alaska Hsu in Hackensack NJ for this year.
He's the Master of TAX prepare with professional manner.
Hackensack HnR office has a treasure^^
Also, Gentle man at the front and lady working at the desk were so nice to me.

If you have a simple tax return it's best to just do it yourself. Look online for help answering questions you might have about your return. The cost of doing it through someone who isn't an actual tax professional but rather someone who is knowledgeable doesn't justify the cost of doing business. Now if your taxes are complicated requiring itemized deductions and time than the cost is justified. I'm not bashing HR Block I just don't think it's worth the $400 for the hour of assistance. In reality it should've literally only took 30 mins but we learned from it for the future.
Edit: The cash advance advertised is a scam. The will charge you 1.5% in addition to the fee they already assessed to withdraw the funds. I might as well have it directly deposited into my bank account. Be aware of these deceptive practices

I had the misfortune of working with an old lady here named Agnes Kemeny in 2009. Yes, quite some time ago, I know. However, I was recently shredding my old tax papers and I remember vividly getting completely reamed on my taxes that year because of her inexperience and negligence. Coming in as a young married couple still in school and making bread crumbs for wages at that time was a very scary experience. Ive since gone over that year time and time again in my head and had it reviewed for a second opinion but it was too late. I hope she only experiences the same ill fate that I had that year and whoever hired such an awful accountant should be ashamed. This place is the last place I would go for my taxes. I look at every H&R block with disdain every time I see one because of my experience here. Stay far away and stick to real professionals with experience that know what they are doing or you will regret wasting your time and hard earned money here.

I give this H and R block one star.
I paid 265.00 to have my taxes done.
After leaving, I had a few questions about how to pay the IRS.
Instructions were not clear.
The office is difficult to contact.
The sign says open ....
The hours on the door said they were supposed to be open.....on a Wednesday.
I waited in my car half an hour.... hoping they were just a little bit late.
I eventually left.
I have been trying to contact them via telephone.
Difficulty getting thru.
Someone answered once.....
I had difficulty communicating because I could not hear.
They disconnected and hung up..
Go somewhere else. I do not recommend this location.

Mariana at H&R Block on Cedar Lane, Teaneck NJ is the best! We had some issues with turbo taxes from a previous year, Mariana helped us correct issues. I have complete trust of my business taxes with her. I am fairy new business and was so worried about my tax prep, and getting it done correctly. My mother also experienced a positive and seamless process. Mariana is very professional and has plenty of experience to help with your tax questions and she breaks it down for you to understand. I am at ease that I do not have to worry about my business taxes and if you need someone who will get it done w/ efficiently, she is your person, and she is also bilingual.

I just went to pickup my taxes because for some weird reason I was unable to pay on line. When. I got to the hrblock I asked if I could speak with Mary Lee if she was available, The lady at the desk said follow me as she headed to Mary’s cubicle and she then told Mary that — would like to speak with you, That’s when I heard Mary reply “why” in a careless tone. So Mary headed out her cubicle surprised to see me standby so closely to her desk. That’s right, I heard you Mary and the tone in your delivery. Thank you for all the years you’ve given me good service, but today you get 1 star for the 1 question you didn’t take time to answer. It’s hurtful and disappointing when you just paid for a service. Smh
