A lovely young man Jayden, helped me initially to choose some “cool” sneakers. Another associate , Destiny recognized my sneakers had a minor defect and offered to go through four other pairs until she found ones I was satisfied with. I was not expecting that. I was in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes with a pair of sneakers my son loved! A good product paired with great customer service is how you build long standing customers!”

“I only ever bought off the rack suits and as a groomsman I have only ever worn the typical suit rental company selected by the couple to be. My wife and I decided on a destination wedding and a honeymoon to follow. Using the typical rental companies would be fairly expensive so I decided I would purchase a custom tux. I spent days reviewing providers and Enzo's custom in midtown stood out. After reading many of the reviews I decided I wanted to work with Jeremy. Going into this I did not realize how many decisions were required to create a custom suit. It can be very overwhelming. Jeremy never made me feel uncomfortable with my custom tux/suit ignorance. He was very patient, attentive and helped me through the entire process. He even dealt with a million questions from my wife when she tagged along on a couple visits. “We had the most joyous ‘In the Mood For Love Disco Glam’ wedding and it was simply the most magical experience we could have asked for! When we first approached The Tailory, I wanted a suit that reflected the playfulness and vibrancy in our sensibilities and our wedding design. We were playing with the classic reds and golds of a Chinese wedding but also the glitter and glam of a queer disco party.

And as a person that runs hot, I did not want conventional suiting and I wanted to wear shorts! I call my suit concept ’the mullet’, a short jacket on top and long shirt in the back, both for style AND ventilation! We came up with a cropped bolero style jacket, a long dress shirt that almost felt like coattails, and knee length shorts. Shao was incredibly helpful working with me on the silhouette, the fabric, and button selection, and incorporating red trim in a nod to our color theme. She also suggesting a silk shirt designed for flow and breathability. Working together was such a fun process, and I love the suit fabric we selected, a dragon embroidered pattern in shimmering blue green. I also love that all the elements could all be worn separately in the future! And a special shout out to the Tailory team for being incredibly kind and gracious in the final weeks for helping to finish Anna’s gold wedding dress. We felt so comfortable and glamorous on the day of, from the ceremony to the dance party rager in the evening. We felt like disco royalty and most importantly we felt like US!”

“My experience with Michelle at Alan David went above and beyond my expectations. I was asked to officiate a friend’s wedding and had tried on my tux about 3 weeks before the wedding. I had been weight lifting and my pants no longer fit. After trying several off-the-rack tuxedo options, which were expensive for the quality, I made an appointment at Alan David.I was looking for a double breasted peak lapel jacket with pleated pants that had a slight break and a nice drape to them. Not only was the incredible team at Alan David able to accommodate my unreasonable request of a custom suit in such a short timespan, the suit was made with extreme precision, care and love. Michelle’s expertise, incredible taste, artistry, kindness and warmth made this whole process a dream.At my first fitting, my tuxedo shirt that I had previously owned needed the sleeves adjusted which the team was able to accommodate as well as sewing my button holes on my placket smaller so my shirt studs wouldn’t fall out (a detail I had never even thought of, but what turned out to be an essential modification).This was my first time ordering a custom suit. Elsie, Emily, Ben, Bruce and especially Michelle all made my experience a true delight from start to finish. The great thing about Alan David is that they order extra fabric so if my suit needs alterations in the future the fabric will be from the same dye lot. Custom suiting is ultimately an investment, cheap suits can be expensive from how frequently you need to replace them. A custom suit can last for decades if you maintain them properly. I would highly recommend Alan David for those who are looking for a beautiful, tailor-made suit, I plan on returning again as soon as I can.”

Fernando, the charismatic store owner was near the entrance and gave me a warm greeting. I then peeked inside and was immediately drawn to the variety of spectacular clothing on display, which included everything from rave-wear to beach attire to underwear and accessories. I headed inside to take a look around and ended up leaving with a huge bag full of items which I absolutely needed to add to my wardrobe. The next day I was back in the store again to purchase more clothing.
