We booked a week in advance. After waiting over an hour plus several phone call attempts, we had to start calling several last minute movers in hope they could do the job as we *had* to move on the day. Silver Star movers never contacted us nor showed up. Two hours later, they call us, surprised, as if nothing had happened, not even apologetic... Conclusion: We had to spend almost 1K$ for a last minute moving company. Extremely unreliable and unprofessional.

Thank you for moving my furniture.. The movers were very kind, professional and caring with my furniture. It took them 2 days to move all my things from New Jersey to California.

the crew are polite and arrives on time! I appreciate their effort in maximizing the truck to load all my stuff, they do pretty good job in organizing it.

I inform them about my location and be honest that there's a very steep driveway, they responded accordingly and told me that they can handle it and so I agreed, I am happy that they really make it and they really move very fast.

they give quality service in reasonable price, actually cheaper than anyone that I work with in the past. It was an easy move and they took good care of my stuff. Overall, it was a great experience!

I hired this company to move me from Georgia to Florida. They hire a 3rd party company out of Florida to conduct my relocation. After talking to a representative on the phone I was promise that my items would arrive to my new residence two days after my pickup.That being said the moving company was late to my first appointment, which made me question their professionalism.This was the tip on the iceberg....They did not have record that I paid for a full moving services, so upon walking in the door my cost went up 1k, they started nickel and diamond me for everything at this point. I purchased 20 large boxes that the movers refused to use, they said it would take to long for them to pack. So Naturally I was upcharged for the larger boxes. From her I would say the packing portion went fairly smooth. Once they finished up and were leaving I was assured that I would receive a call the following day to schedule my delivery. The following day I received no calls, but I did call them around 10 times with no luck. I then flew to my new residence the following morning believing that my items would arrive that afternoon. Unfortunately this company cannot be trusted and obviously lied to me to gain my business. Since that day i've been calling regularly trying to get an update on my delivery and have had no luck. They have refused to call me back and demanded I pay even more money before releasing my items to be put on a truck to move. So far they have had my items for over a week and completely failed to communicate. I have been dealing with a "customer service" rep named Maynet for the majority of the time. She has taken multiple messages, none of which have been returned. She is truley clueless on how to communicate with frustrated customers, she's dismissive, rude and basically says look at your contract. She obviously hates her job.I've left multiple messages for Mona, Astrid and Eli (who call me back once and actually spoke to me like a decent human). This business and its staff cannot be trusted and I will continue to update this review as it plays out.Buyer beware, this company cannot be trusted and holds your items hostage.... I dont understand how they are in business. You will regret giving Trans Van your business.

PLEASE, do not use this company if you're looking to move. They have a great sales pitch but that is where it ends. They called to confirm items for my move, I tried to call back, no answer or returned calls. The Movers show up in an enterprise rent a truck, and could not fit all my items on the truck. They were extremely rude. They then called me and told me 5-7 days for delivery, 10 days had passed so I called the driver myself. He told me it would be the 2nd delivery, the next day! They never showed up, I tried to call around dinner time... no answer!! They then decide to show up the next day, with no notice, we were not home! They sent my fiancé and myself text messages saying "you can find your belonging at the good will 10 miles from your house". They cussed at me on the phone, they yelled at me on the phone. They over charged! The driver of the semi was a new driver and refused to come to the ally to finally deliver the items. We had to pay almost $1000 more to have them move our stuff into a smaller box truck to deliver it. They forgot some of our items on their semi and told us if we wanted them, we had to go get them! We refused to sign the paper work until we had all our items. The delivery drivers complained and whined the entire time! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE-- do NOT use this company!!

This was my first experience with a moving company and definitely the last time I'm using this company. Trying to schedule pick up and delivery was a hassle. For someone trying to plan an interstate move, I need to be able to confirm the schedule earlier than a week in advance. They just told me someone would come Saturday or Sunday, then they could move me earlier and pick up on Friday, then they couldn't and I never got a confirmation of which day or time, so I was caught completely off guard by the mover calling at 7am saying he had arrived. Then the company only sent one mover, Robert, who was quite plesant to work with and he was probably to only positive thing about this move. He moved everything out to the truck by himself, and I genuinely felt bad that he had to do that alone. Now, calling the main office was an exercise in patience because whoever is managing their office/answering their phones should NOT be in customer service. She had a nasty attitude, clearly had no patience to answer my questions and did not provide any helpful answers to help with my planning. She would snap at me on the phone when I would ask her questions that I feel, as the dispatcher, she should be able to help answer like "do you know when my stuff will be delivered?" When my items were delivered to me, that's where the bulk of my problems are. Based on the conditions of the boxes, it was crystal clear that there was absolutely NO regard for my belongings once they had left my possession and went to storage. The boxes clearly looked as if they were simply tossed around. I mean, brand new boxes I bought for the move were returned to me after 2 weeks worn, torn, and crushed like I had used the same boxes for every move in my life. I had more broken dishes than what I felt was acceptable, and large picture frames that were broken which I had to replace. I understand that some things will get broken in a move, but almost half of my dishes had to be replaced because of the negligence and them stacking heavy boxes on time of the ones marked "fragile" or "dishes". I could've overlooked the not-so-stellar customer service if my items had been returned to me in the condition they left in. I was truly disappointed in the fact that there was no ethic of care involved in storing and delivering my belongings. I would be very cautious about using this company.

Unfortunately they don't even deserve one star. I was moving my family and had Silver Star come to my home to get a quote. We signed the contract, made our deposit and waited for the truck to arrive. Well, the truck arrived today which was only big enough to fit a washer and dryer and a few boxes, NOT AN ENTIRE APARTMENT!!! We were told that it would be an ADDITIONAL $7,000 to move us. When we sent the truck away and tried to get our deposit back, we were told that it was going to the Review Board for consideration, we would possibly find out next week. I AM MOVING MY FAMILY THIS WEEKEND!!!! We already paid over $900. We do not have money laying around for additional expenses. We trusted Silver Star....now we are beyond STRESSED on trying to figure this out. They saw our belongings....they knew exactly what needed to be moved. My family may lose everything because of this situation. I just don't know what to do for my family!!

I moved from ny to Florida and these guys made it so easy for me the crew was great the wrap & pack everything for me took very good care of my furniture the only problem was the delivery took longer then expected I'm guessing because it was all the way to Florida but there office kept me posted on the whole process all the way threw the delivery
