“One of my favorite places in Asbury. They have very carefully curated racks which are easy to navigate and shop. They have a great vintage selection as well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I wouldn't say it is the cheapest place to shop, but it is reasonable and you could definitely find a nice bargain. I love that they have unique novelty items, consignment and vintage. Definitely recommend.”

The windows at night drew me in a few years ago and I have since consigned regularly with them and always end up purchasing very unique, creative, cool things every time I go there.The shop has that edgy punk rock feel but also such a great vintage selection, custom clothes made by the owner and a couture rack of my dreams. Price points for everyone too from the very high end of the vintage couture spectrum to prices for students who shop 2nd hand.It's one of my favorite consignment shops ever.And baby's first consignment shop.Turquoise vintage tap shoes!”

“Very nice shop, the girl working let us bring our dogs in to browse. They carry a lot of Sourpuss Clothing, I would say it's not a lot of true vintage but more so vintage inspired but they had some really cool stuff and it was very affordable and reasonably priced. Also staff was super friendly and welcoming!”

Just from stepping into the store you can tell everything is selected with a very close attention to detail, from the quality of the textile to the designer or maker behind each treasure. I was so happy to pick up some holiday gifts here and also learn about some new-to-me brands. There's something indescribably cool about picking up a pair of pants that caught my eye and being told they were made by someone local. This is a business worth supporting - you know your money is going not only to a small local business but also to the local makers stocked here. Can't wait to come back!”

“My wife and I recently bought several beautiful things there, including a magnificent antique candleholder with crystals. She used brass cleaner and cleaned each crystal to make it look new. It is one of the most beautiful items in our home. A great store that everyone should visit when in Ocean Grove.”

“At Backward Glances, I felt like I was transported back in time. They have quality vintage items that are stocked every week! It was a lot of fun browsing the store; you never know what treasures you can stumble upon. I bought a vintage jean jacket with silver embroidery and sequins; it was in mint condition. I also found 80s banana hair clips, which is awesome, because the modern ones are just not the same. Great prices, great selection, great service. I will certainly be back!”

“Full stocked Cosignment shop located at the site of the old unfinished furniture store ( Remember that giant wooden beach chair that stood out front for years??!!). The focus here is on clothes (Racks!), but household items as well. During the week, there are lines of "locals ladies" dropping items off via the back door -expecting a nice payback for their extra stuff. My problem w Consignment is how much $$ really does go back to that original owner?? No one could give me the %% arrangements when I asked up front. This is a for-profit business, not a charity, which is fine as long as the terms are clear beforehand .”

“I enjoyed my time shopping here and found the staff pleasant and helpful. They were enthusiastic about the items I was trying on and I ended up buying six items that I love for $25 or less. I scheduled an appointment to consign some items for a store credit and will update this once I have that experience. Many people are complaining about having their stuff sold for “pennies on the dollar” in reviews, but if you want to make more off your items then do the work and sell it yourself online. Personally, I find that to be a lot of work. Remember, they have overhead, staff, and more to pay for. I am grateful there is a store where we can actually be green by recycling items and give new life to used items. Looking forward to bringing my stuff in.”

“I went there today for the first time and I wasn't expecting much.I read a few reviews and I don't know why they have so many bad reviews.I really liked the store and found a lot of good things.They have name brands like coach,Michael kors,Steve Madden,guess,Calvin klein,nike,adidas and so many more.I will be coming back for sure.”
“We have found a lot of things here, well curated and in great condition, including Christmas dresses. The selection seems better for younger babies, anecdotally speaking, but sizes go way up so I'll be choosing this place for many years ?”
