This is a very nice park to visit for an easy day trip. There is a pedestrian bridge to cross River Road and see the Delaware River or walk/bike along the canal from there. There's parking close to the river as well. The visitor center is small on the NJ side but has all the history and some artifacts to check out. The park trails are easy to walk around and there are picnic benches near the Visitor Center. You can bring your dogs as long as they are leashed. The Johnson Ferry House is the original building from the time George Washington made the famous crossing. They host tours Tuesday through Saturday.

I really enjoyed my visit to Washington Crossing State Park. Some of the highlights were the excellent film in the Visitor Center Museum, "Ten Crucial Days" and the guided tour of the Johnson Ferry House. The views of the Crossing site and the Delaware River from the House were great, as well.

More to see on the PA. Side of the river. But very educational.

This park has some of the most beautiful trails in the area . We just love this park. Usually we park in the first parking lot and walk through the ferry house to all the way to the bridge to Washington crossing historic park in PA. The whole trail back and forth is a little over three miles. The terrain is lovely. It is pretty straight all through. Very kid friendly! My 4 year old daughter has so much fun on the trail.Playground: No kids playground availableRestrooms: Restrooms are available in the visitor centerDog-friendliness: Very dog friendlyPicnic area: Plenty of beautiful picnic areas available

Beautiful natural setting, slightly marred by a lack of upkeep of the facilities. Spacious grounds with a deep dose of trees shading wonderful walking/riding trails along the Delaware River.

Neat area but you can not take big rigs across bridge. We went back to the nut restaurant stop and dropped the camper. We were an F350 and we barely fit. It has a stop light but both sides go at same time. Some people are not good drivers. The area was pretty and the boat guy in the shop was great and funny! Some shopping in gift shop

This park is so beautiful.... My church had our annual picnic here. It has walking trails, a museum, and the picnic area has a playground and area for kick ball or whatever sport you like. This is my kind of park tucked away surrounded by trees which is peaceful for me.Restrooms: Restrooms are in the park male/female separation.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but you must clean up after it.Picnic area: Very big and kid friendly
