The Toms River Lakehurst Road location is a horrible mess! Garbage can in front of the store is overflowing. The floor inside is always in need of vacuuming. (Today was the worst I've seen it, and it's always bad). Merchandise tubs on the floor with garbage in them from unpacking. Always one associate on the floor. Live plants for sale, all dying for lack of water! It was disgusting. Shame on the corporation of CVS for allowing their stores to look this way. With the amount of money they take in for the products they sell, you would think they would put some of that towards cleaning their locations. I won't go back to this location. Too bad, because the people that work there are really nice. It seems like all of their hands are tied. I would not want to work for a company like that. Shameful.

No way to speak to anyone at the front store or pharmacy through their phone number

Okay now I know this is not the fault of the employees, pretty much everything nowadays is the fault of the suits who run these places. The pharmacy is literally closed for a lunch break. Nobody there, nobody to get me medicine, not even one person left behind. On a LUNCH BREAK. AVOID IT.

Dave the manager was horrible. Didn't help me what's so ever. Needs to be re-educated on what certain categories store products are considered. Had his scanner tucked in his backside waist band. Heard him complaining the entire time I was in the store. I left not wanting to even buy anything. The young man Abdel was very helpful, and acted more like a manager then he did. Was very pleased with his help.

I have never had a bad experience at this CVS.
Everyone has always been pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful
But it is hard to speak with a human; I blame that on upper management. The pharmacy is grossly understaffed.

Blonde old lady with accent is insanely rude and does not know customer service. AND cannot mind her own business. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! She needs a reality check.

I can't even get through to a human. I spent more time navigating the robot call to get to the pharmacy than I did leaving the voicemail- now I have to wait an hour to see if a human can even answer my question. If I had a drug interaction question for the pharmacist would this also be how I could access info? I understand not wanting ridiculous calls wasting time but this isn't it. A phone call is multitasking I'm sure everyone employed there is beyond qualified for such a thing.

First of all, the reason for the three star rating is because of the manager on duty just to start off with that! If you should get a cashier named Tinasha she is the kindest most helpful cashier that should be a manager of that store just to let you know! My card was acting up. My extra bucks was coming off. My coupons weren’t coming off.
We were paging the manager for 45 minutes and she would not answer the page. My transaction had to be voided. because there was a back up the aisle because the self checkouts weren’t working either they were giving the same problems. The customers were yelling at her and abusing her way further than I would’ve taken that abuse and she kept her cool, kudos to her, because I could not have kept my cool. I was the person telling them to stop because I was getting angry enough for her. It was not her fault that the manager was not doing her job!!! Now, when the manager finally answered her page she actually had the GALL to refuse to come up and fix my problem?!?!? What in the heck I did not think that was even an option considering I AM SITTING HERE 45 MINUTES AND NOW I AM REFUSING TO WALK AWAY BECAUSE YOU, MEANING THE MANAGER ON DUTY ARE REFUSING TO DO YOUR JOB??? OH HECK NO!!!! YOU ARE MAKING ME MISS MY GRANDDAUGHTER’S GRADUATION PARTY, YES YOU ARE HELPING ME! I don’t freaking think I’m the customer spending my money here!!! to be completely honest. The only reason I stood stayed was because of the cashier Tanasha, because she had to take the abuse from the other customers. I didn’t know if she was gonna get blamed for a huge voided transaction, and she was the kindest most considerate cashier I have seen in the longest time. She kept me cool I was getting angrier than she was. Now, for CVS, the manager that was on duty on June 15, 2024 between the hours of 5 o’clock and 7 o’clock in the evening should be fired. Give Natasha her job, her pay, and her status because she deserves it! She was doing the manager’s job anyway and then some. I don’t know how you as a manager can sit there and not, come fix a problem that it is your job to do and then you had your cashier doing it. Why not just pay the cashier the managers pay rate and status if she’s gonna be doing it anyway??? Especially when you have incompetent, inconsiderate managers there who won’t do their job because they’re too lazy to get up off their butts? So in the long run, I did get my coupons I cut my order in like 3/4 from what it was worth only to takeoff my extra bucks so I ended up paying almost nothing for my order but in the long run it was because of the cashier Natasha and nothing else!!! You lost a $$200 order because of your manager!!! It still wasn’t worth missing that long period of time for my granddaughter’s party for, which turned out to be an hour and a half, at that point. This purchase became about principle and that’s why I dropped my purchase amount to the point that it was free because your manager made me stand around. My time is worth something to me and I’m pretty sure it was worth something to my granddaughter, especially when I walked back into the party and she said grandma, I thought you left me!!! So CVS, you need to not take advantage of your customers and rearrange your damn managerial stuff! I will be speaking to corporate about this. When I do my reviews, I only normally do my reviews when neither there’s a big problem or there’s a big excellent review waiting. In this case there was two in one one on the bad spectrum which overtook the one on the good spectrum and I can’t calm down enough to not post how angry I am about this situation! So if you go to CVS on Lakewood Road in Tom’s River and there is a manager and I think her name was Jude JUDE walk the hell back out of the store because if you need her, she’s gonna refuse to come to the front to help!

I was wary based on previous reviews to switch from Rite Aid (because they closed) to here but the person who answered the phone fairly quickly was pleasant and set me up, confirmed everything and helped give me confidence to try them out. So far so good!

I wish I knew his name! He was an older gentleman, and he was so kind and had a great attitude! He was so sweet. If I knew his name I would literally call corporate and tell them what a great employee they have!!!

My scripts are never ready no matter how long I wait. I literally think they wait until I show up to fill them. Get there when everyone takes a lunch at once and you’ll wait another 30 minutes at least.
