All they want is your MONEY.......I can't believe the amount this VCA vet charges for services. My cat had a bad infected tooth, abscess. Brought her into VCA, doctor gave her an antibiotic shot and some anti-inflammatory pills to take for 3 days. Vet explained that she needed to have the bad tooth removed as well as a lot of other work, so the next day I received an estimate for the surgery, dental work etc. for $3,000.00. I almost choked on my coffee. $3,000 OMG!!! She has one bad tooth. A cat 10 years old. Really?I called them and asked for other options I can't afford 3k and they suggested I take a loan out and gave me a few recommendations, at 20% interest. That wasn't what I meant. I meant an option B of how to remove the bad tooth at a reasonable cost. Fast forward a few days, we brought our cat back to the Vet where we used to live, and the next day my cat had the surgery to remove the bad tooth. The cost you ask, 85% less than what VCA was going to charge me. I will not be going here with my cats anymore. Thank you for your time.

I highly recommend Dr. DeJohn! She takes care of both of my Frenchies and she’s always so great with them and indulges in their weird personalities. Her bedside manner is a 10/10 and she explains everything so that you feel extremely comfortable and well taken care of.The entire staff is so friendly and hospitable!

EFORE the vet even saw Tux, the tech was presenting a 500$ treatment plan. Isn't it usually the vet doing this AFTER they see the pet? If I had not agreed, would they have let me see a vet? Should have walked out then! The vet assured me that Tux did NOT HAVE a mass....yet oddly discovered one during the blood draw. At that point, it had to be pretty clear to her it was lymphoma or another VERY advanced cancer. The ETHICIAL thing to have done would have been to Cx the pricey blood draw as NOTHING it showed would have mattered...but profit before all!! A COMPASSIONATE vet would have suggested Tux be PTS...but I guess she figured that would be a cash cow for another visit! Poor Tux died Monday, less than a week after this visit, and as I am a disabled senior on a small income, I couldn't even afford to ease his suffering there. There should be a special place in hell for greedy vets and practices like YOURS! karma!

Since my last update, they did reach out and I thought they would make it right. They tested his blood and gave him several weeks worth of antibiotics and then at the end came back and said it would've happened regardless. I will send pictures of what it looks like now luckily, I think I found a surgery center that will do it for a little more than half of the price. I requested my previous history with chance for the new vet and I had 47 pages worth of data and thousands and thousands of dollars spent including another surgery in the past. Even if they would've offered me a 50% discount for the surgery I could've been satisfied with that. This is how bad it's gotten and now a surgery that I have to put on a 25% credit card to fix. They can continue to say that it would have happened regardless that we would never know without what they originally did, and what started it. I wasn't asking for a free surgery. I was just asking for help to fix the error that was made because I couldn't afford to put out almost $5000 to fix it And my poor dog. Like I said, I found a place that will do it cheaper and I've done a lot of research to make sure they were recommended, but after 11 years of bring a chance here in 45 pages of history, they lost a forever customer who has other dogs, and will probably have many more throughout my life. PLZ LOOK AT YPDATED PHOTOS' They are heartbreaking

I can’t rave enough about VCA Fisher Animal Hospital. They’re quick and efficient while also showing care and compassion for their fur patients. One of my dogs is on medication, the staff is always incredibly informs when I have any questions. Highly highly recommend them.

Brought my puppy there and LOVED IT. Everyone was super nice and made my pup feel special! Dr. Danowitz was friendly and helped give me guidance for best caring for my new pup.I highly recommend this vet. They even have separate entrances for dogs and cats (to keep the peace!!)

I've been taking my dog to Fischer Veterinary Hospital for a little over 3 years now, and I can say that in my 43 years of pet ownership I have never felt so safe and confident in my pets medical care as I do now. The entire team is professional, compassionate, and I can say without doubt, that they care about my little monster as much as I do.

Should've read the reviews before going. This place is a money grab. My fault for not realizing VCA is basically the McDonald's of veterinary care. I set up an appointment for vaccinations and let them know my pup already had her first round of shots. Gave them her birthdate and they said no problem, bring her in as soon as you get her home. Well, when we got there they told me she was too young for her vaccine and I needed to come back in a week. They charged me $110 for a doc visit then, the following week charged me for another doc visit just to get the shot! I asked to speak to someone in billing. I was told, " she works out of our Lakewood office. She doesn't answer her phone but I'll transfer you and she periodically checks her voicemail" SUPER CONVENIENT..... I left a voice mail and still haven't gotten a call back.

I just moved to New Jersey & started using VCA & I trusted them with my dog … the doctors are great but unfortunately the staff is absolutely terrible. I brought my dog in Thursday who was not himself at all, was sent home with anti nausea medicine & told he’d be ok ! I called back Saturday into Sunday with no response. Sunday morning the Lakewood staff was so rude while we were absolutely frantic thinking something terrible was going on with our beloved pup .. waited all day for a phone call from the doctor, which we did not get ! 7pm we couldn’t stand to see him like this anymore! Turns out our pup needed emergency surgery. AND I CALLED THE VET TO LET THEM KNOW THIS MORNING & STILL NO CALL BACK. I am so disappointed with what happened and how this situation was handled .. I will be going elsewhere with my dog

Moved from Brooklyn to Nj and thought this would be a good vet, all they care about is money and if you just read the reviews for this place it would be self explanatory, my mistake is not reading the reviews prior to coming in for an emergency visit and being turned away while the facility looked more empty than a beach in the winter. Also the sarcasm the employees carry is truly something else. Couldn’t give zero stars so here’s one.

Dr, Campbell was patient, kind, and informative during our visit. My wife and I recently got a Goldendoodle puppy and needless to say its been some time since we last had a young dog as our other two are senior citizens and were rescues. Dr. Campbell took his time to explain feeding, vaccination, and care recommendations for our new pup. He also highlighted the benefits of the care plan we purchased for our pup. Being we used to live in Monmouth County we drove up to our old animal hospital which is 40 minutes away - now we have a reliable care partner for our fur babies around the corner!

I was not informed of a delay in receiving my beloved cats remains. Called every few days, with much anguish. I was told. We usually call you when remains of pet are returned, and , oh there is a new place we are receiving them from, it took over 3 weeks to receive my beloved cats urn. I wish this had been properly explained to me , as it caused me many sleepless nights. I thought my pet was lost somewhere. Office girls are not very professional and I was put on hold several times for lengthy waits. One of the girls said she'd call me back, which she never did. I would not recommend this hospital for cremation needs. I was already upset, when I lost my dear cat, they only prolonged my sadness, by not explaining the entire waiting time upon my arrival. But, they quickly got my money, no time was wasted asking me for payment. I think the office staff needs compassion training. Thumbs down to this hospital.

Dr. Jenna Koenigstein never lets me down. I've taken my dog (Jalapeño) to her twice and both times she was sick. She absolutely took extended periods of time with me and my dog to fully figure out the problem. I almost felt bad as I know she had other animals to attend to. She treated my dog like it was hers. I alerted her supervisors and give nothing but high regards for her work. Joe Prebish
