I honestly don't go to Michaels often. However today I went in to return 2 skeins of yarn and buy some yarn that was on clearance. I met the nicest cashier (Jennifer). One of the skeins I bought was very unraveled and I asked if a small discount could be applied. She went to ask the manager who approved it. Jennifer was very patient and kind to me. She went above and beyond and even signed me up for rewards program. I think I will be shopping here in the future due to this nice experience I had today.

On December 8th, 2023, I placed an order for 2 custom frames, (identical frames) and paid (Toms River Store) Michaels $285.76. A few days later I was told they were out of matting materials, the following week I was told the two mats didn't match and then I heard nothing. It turns out that a Michaels employee got into our order and changed the name on the order as told to me by the store manager. The frames were for a Christmas present, and it turns out they had been completed but due to the name change I wasn't notified. On the 5th week (today 1/09/2024) I pick up the 2 frames and mount them on the wall next to each other. Guess what the frames are two different sizes. I call the store and the store manager would not give me the District Managers number or the number to corporate. She further stated that no customer can complain past the store as directed by the corporate office. In my opinion Michaels does not care about the customer, if they need to make 5 trips to the store for an order its collateral damage. The customer chose to walk into Michaels so whatever happens is their fault. In my opinion do not shop at Michaels because their motto should be "PROFIT BEFORE CUSTOMERS".

Always friendly staff when I come to shop. But it's always a hit or miss with products/stock.

I love the selection. I buy a lot of yarn and always find what I'm looking for. They added self checkout at the Brick, NJ location. I'm not exactly for them because it takes someone's job but in their case, they never have enough cashiers and there's often a line so I appreciated using it.
