Today my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting and getting assistance from Veronica of the Rt. 37 Ocean First Bank branch in Toms River.We needed assistance with logging into our online account, and Veronica was extremely helpful to us in getting our password changed.Veronica was also helpful in getting new debit cards issued for both of us.Veronica was very friendly and made our experience at the bank an enjoyable one.

Absolutely no quality customer service! No communication internally between loan servicing employees. I paid the deficiency escrow rather than have my monthly mortgage increase beginning 11/21. The teller said she applied my $133.00 check to the escrow deficiency.Ocean First took my money and still increased my monthly mortgage payment. Isn't that a double dip? I work all day. There are no representatives to call and discuss this issue after 5:00 pmI guess this is their way of paying for the big blue monstrosity in Toms River. Don't bank with Ocean First. They don't care about you once they take your money . When i first applied for my mortgage, my loan officer neglected to give the processor my completed application for a 4.0 lock in percentage. And i ended up with 4.25 interest rate. When i complained, my loan officer said what's $30.00 extra a month? You waste more more money on junk every month! Seriously?? $30.00 times 360 months???

Ever since the conversation, my transfers that use to be done every Friday at 5 am, now don't get done till after 10 pm. Unexceptionable! I've waited to long for you to correct the problem. You can't rely on timely banking, you can't trust your bank.Employees are wonderful though. Especially Toniann S.

Supposedly there is a national coin shortage. This place wants to charge a 10% fee to use the coin counter if you are not a customer. Guess they do not need coins to bad.

Amazing and personal customer service! Toniann did an incredible job handling a very complicated estate planning process during a very stressful time for my family. Her technical expertise was outstanding but what really stood out was her caring and calm demeanor through the whole transaction. Further, the support of the Branch manager, Legal dept and the Retirement planning/IRA dept made for a smooth transition.

I have been really struggling with the tellers and the manager at the Bananier branch. Week after week I go in with a simple task and it is always complicated for them. The customer service in this branch isn't what I am used to. I recently moved to this area and I expected the great customer service that I received at the branch I previously went to. I will often drive the 20 minutes south just to go to the other branch. I am beyond frustrated. I don't really want to leave this bank cause it is convenient but I am seriously thinking about it.

I will be telling everyone about Ocean First Bank...and how to NEVER open an account here!!!!! I have been dealing with them since last Wednesday all over a mobile deposit of my paycheck...when the check never made it to my account and I was told the check never went through and to go and cash it the next day. I cashed it at pnc and got my money the same day...and the next day my account at ocean first then shows my paycheck amount in it!!!!!!!! I called the bank and told them to take it back!!!! From all the phone calls on Friday....and then going to THIS branch today for 2 HOURS is absurd and unacceptable. Making me feel that this issue was all my fault and then demanding to see proof that my other bank account was overdrawn and wanting to see my banking account activity!!!! I literally asked this "fill in manager" if she was serious. Then she told me if the check comes back then I owe them the money back. And I said there was no need to even have that conversation because I don't owe them anything...that I owe my other bank account money because I gave them a check that was apparently already deposited when I was told it wasnt. That I wouldnt be in this mess if wasnt for them...that i didnt deserve this, that I'm not a thief or a liar. Between the phone calls and the branch itself... 2 times they tried to charge me with 2 different $35 fees that I had to show proof to get waived (a recorded phone call and showing my personal bank information...which...they didnt want to call pnc themselves to sort this out). How i was treated by customer service over the phone by a supervisor all the way to the actual branch itself by the fill in manager....was just unbelievable and such an inconvenience. How these people made me feel was awful, a liar, a thief, and trying to get me to literally pay for their mistake....I will never allow anyone I know to ever bank at ocean first bank. The first woman who was helping me at the desk was the only one who apologized to me for what i was going through...no one else!!!! NOT EVEN THE SUPERVISOR ON THE PHONE!!!! Worst....customer....service...EVER!!!!!!! Zero compassion!!!!!!
