This review is for sharing Parisi .So we just had a great experience, and at the same time got a good education about a few things with bankingSharon was very professional, did an excellent job explaining things, Along with helping us out with our accounts.I asked Sharon if she was happy with where she is and what she does, and with a smile and very sincere , Sharon said she loves what she does.I was able to tell she was not blowing smoke .We wish very long success with OceanFirst .Sharon is a keeper

Came in to look into opening a business account. Was instantly greeted by Ryan Hall who was kind and attentive. Even showed me around while I waited to be assisted by Pat who as well was very easy going. Got me set up with a better account than what pnc offered me despite having my personal account with them for a decade. Very happy with my experience and plan to keep working with them

I’ve been a customer at OceanFirst for over 15 years. It’s a local and trustworthy bank that I have accounts at for my personal and business use. Over the years I've built a relationship with the crew at the whiting nj branch. They are always welcoming, helpful all around professional. Sandi, Who has now relocated to Toms River has been guiding me when it comes to investing and proper use for both of my accounts. I’d like to show my gratitude for the help I’ve received from all of them.

The staff here are incredible! They really take the time to put the personal touch on your visits. The inside is super clean and organized, the tellers are quick and efficient. Sandi, the branch manager, has been helpful with any account questions. She made sure she took care of our concerns. I will now go out of my way to come to this location.

I have been using Oceanfirst bank for a very long time now. I deposited money through the ATM and some of the money was missing. I have spoken to many customer service reps and upper management and no not one person can help me. I have to wait for a despute which they told me can take up to two weeks. Two weeks to see my missing money that clearly the ATM ate. Totally insane. Needless to say once this is all over I will be taking my business else. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

I have seen Jean the teller in the Hooper Ave branch ... Lucky to always seem to get her... She is always friendly, always helpful, very patient when I need a little more time with my transactions, always willing to help and always smiling. She remembers me when I go in which is very nice even though I'm not in that often which adds to me feeling.... Seen.. not many places you go these days even businesses I go into more often don't go the extra mile to make you feel special.But Jean does. I'd give her 10 stars if I could.

Ocean First is a scam. I wouldn't be surprised if the only thing keeping their business afloat is the collection of redundant overdraft fees. They'll charge you multiple fees in one day. Sometimes your balance will still be positive when they charge you.Their customer support is god awful. They refuse to reverse overdraft fees under any circumstance. They're stealing money from people who literally can't afford it. You can overdraft by literal change, cry to them on the phone, and they won't help you. You now owe $80 and you can't afford food for the week.I pray this bank fails and goes under, nobody should have to deal with this. This is a disgrace to the community.

I am extremely disappointed in how Ocean First has dealt with (or shall I say hasn’t dealt with) a fraudulent wire in the amount of $15,000 from one of our business accounts where we still have not seen a dime back. And I am not looking for a generic response on here like they do with most complaints I see , I would rather they take the time to get ahold of us and get this matter taken care of. This is unacceptable.

The 5 stars are for Laura in the main Hooper Ave branch.Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about a platform lady L who I spoke to NINE days ago and never called me back even though we’re on the phone for 20 minutes. She was rude! I’ve been an OFB since December of 2000, and I told this woman L that. I asked her to bring my request to the branch mgr, she said she would. I asked her to please call me back, she said she would. Nine days later she didn’t. I called this morning and THANK GOD, Laura answered, she was pleasant from the second she answered the phone. She helped me right on the spot. Within 10 minutes she was able to straighten out my problem. Thank you so much Laura for being so patient, understanding, helpful, kind and efficient!!

⭐⭐⭐ 12/27/21 I love OceanFirst Bank but my home branch, Sewell closed at the beginning of the month! This bank has great customer service with lower or no fees. The fee free debit card/checking account is great but it appears more branch locations are closing/consolidating as they are moving towards more online or electronic transactions. Also, there is no live 24/7 customer service support. The issues with their July 2021 system upgrade appear to have been resolved.⭐ 9/3/21 Since OceanFirst Banks' system upgrade at the beginning of July 2021 I have had numerous problems with my checking account. The Customer Care Department was polite and a pleasure to deal with despite my vocal frustrations. My apologies to them. As I understand it, their system upgrade changed the way they process transactions from real-time to batch. On numerous occasions my account has fallen negative and I have had "not sufficient funds" fees charged. Also, the mobile app has often reflected wrong balances especially during their overnight processing and then would again reflect the correct balances the following morning. Clearly something is wrong! All of these issues/inconveniences does not give me confidence in OceanFirst Bank. Definitely not a good thing right now. If you do your banking with them please review them here and/or contact them directly. Whatever their doing, I hope they fix it really soon because now it's 2 months since their upgrade.

Tried to give my kids a childhood experience of depositing their funds with a local branch and it has failed miserably! The local branch first issued my two toddlers passbook savings accounts. Then they received new machines in the bank that didn’t print/work with the passport books. Passport books & in person visits to the bank became useless at that point. Then they closed the local branch. I tried to setup online banking for both of them with their credentials and that was rejected with no explanation. The customer service representative, Larissa, was useless after I called to investigate. She had no record of their deposits nor online application even though there are emails confirming both from OceanFirst. I wrote an email and we’ll see where that gets me. I don’t have much hope and will shortly be closing both accounts and moving all funds to a reliable, world wide bank that is local to my house. I’ve never been a fan of OceanFirst as a business nor their lack of customer support from the corporate level. Rant over…
